Kuday Turkish Bakery Reviews

Really loved the Kuday Turkish Bakery in Patterson. Then again, I often love just a plain stripped-down version of an eating establishment. There were many variety of cookies, and sourdough bread available when I went. There were about eight baklava left, unfortunately, I forgot to get them when I left. I know there's a lot of rave reviews about this specific item. The owner was very friendly and gave us each one of the big cookie samples. I had the apricot which was outstanding. My friend had the blueberry that he also loved. I also purchased a loaf of sourdough bread and I must say it is one of the best I've had. Especially, as a grilled sandwich or in a grilled cheese.
The parking is right in front of the store and there is no designated parking with lines. However, there were not many cars when I went so I was able to unfold my left pretty easily. Again a very small place. Getting to the door was very easy and once inside everything was easy to see and order.
If you are into Turkish coffee like I am they do not have that here. But there are many places within a block or two where you can get some really good Turkish coffee. I ended up in another bakery which I will review in another post which had really good Turkish coffee. In the meantime if you're ever on the Parkway heading north you may want to take exit 155 a to this little hole in the wall with amazing pastries and bread.

Amazing Turkish Bakery. The friendly owner makes this place 5++ stars. I asked him if the cookies and a few of the desserts were good. He gave me a full portion sample to try first. Wow!! Hospitality like this is rare.

Besides the great service, the desserts were tried tasted excellent. Baklava was very good and the cookies was great too. I stored the cookies up to one week and they were still soft when I took a bite into it. Wow!!

Definitely recommend especially if you are waiting for a seat at a nearby restaurant.

We happened upon this place after dining nearby at albasha and this place is amazing! The gentlemen serving was super warm who gave a sample of anything we could think of. Our little guy was going circles in the place as it hit the spot for him. The Baklava was amazingly fresh and moist and soft and we did load up on it. Also got the kunefa and cookies with some tea. Will be back!

We came from Connecticut & brought some sweets and savory pastries home, I wish we doubled our order, my family LOVED every bite. The banana and pistachio pastry was so good and the Nutella, this bakery is a goldmine and hidden gem!!!!! The owner was so kind and nice too

Saw this across the street as we left Krichian Grill (Armenian restaurant)

Owner was so friendly. I just asked if he had Baklava with Pistachios (I really dislike walnuts which is what most places use) and he immediately gave me a full serving and it was so good! Then he gave me a still warm Hazelnut version (I've never had Baklava with Hazelnut!) and of course I had to buy them both!

He then gave me this thing (forgot name) that was like noodles baked into a dessert, it was tasty but weird for me, as noodles are supposed to be savory LOL

I left with too much desserts! LOL
PS: had already ate a few before I got around to taking a picture of my loot 😉

I'll be back for more soon!

The person who works there is really really nice. hes a genuine man. he gave me one to try out for free and it tasted good! and its really cheap! its in a small corner so people barely see it but i highly recommend to try it eventhough it leaks with sweetness

We were greeted by a an amazing and friendly owner who immediately, in true Turkish hospitality fashion offered us a taste of delicious Turkish treats. Delicious baklava and cookies that aren’t overly sweet.

This place has the best baklava in Patterson.
It is not overly sweet and doesn’t smell of cheap oil. When one bites into a piece of a baklava it is supposed to make a crunchy sound and this one does even after 3 days later. The owner is something else in a good way. He is a very good at introducing his products by giving multiple samples. He is very humble, sweet funny and welcoming. He treats each customer special. 👌

Hands down the best. Owner makes everything himself in small batches so sweets are FRESH. Just try whatever he has made that day - it’s going to be amazing. All too often I find, Baklava especially, has been sitting for days but not here - it is fresh, flaky, crispy and just delicious. He is so welcoming and offered several items for us to try. Only problem is I can’t keep my hands off all the desserts we bought today! Thank you for a wonderful bakery - we will be back inshaallah!

best bakery around NE NJ. Strongly recommend this place. The only thing is, given that it is a small business, you can’t find all the items every day of the week

This place has ZEE best turkish baklava in the US, hands down. The owner always greets you with a smile. You can count of him offering you a sampling of whatever you lay your eyes on. Baklava is crunchy but not crumbly, sweet but not soggy, you can never have one piece.

I stopped by after having dinner next door, and the owner was immediately so welcoming and provided the best service! The baklava is the best I’ve ever had, and I was even given a piece to sample. Definitely recommend checking out if you’re ever in the area, you will not be disappointed!
