Cafe Bubamara

We went to this restaurant for Sunday brunch with our friends and our dog. The main reason we picked this spot was the patio/outdoor dining area, so we could stay there with our pup.

There was some confusion about where to seat us; one of the tables was booked by the owner or something, so we just waited, and nobody came to confirm what was going on for at least 10 minutes. Then another waiter came outside and told us to take that table. By the way, the owner didn’t smile at any customers at all; he even looked a bit angry.
Once we were finally seated, the service was quite good and attentive.

We ordered a few appetizers to share, including borek/burak, one of the most popular dishes at the restaurant. It was good but a bit dry for my taste, mostly dough with cheese.

For the main course, I ordered something that looked a lot like a calzone but was a different shape. I was full and didn’t even finish it. A huge advantage is that the menu has pictures of all the dishes, so you can have an idea of what to order and how it will look.

Overall, I would recommend this place for brunch. We are happy they were dog-friendly, despite some bumps at the beginning.

If you are looking for an authentic environment, full of art and history with a great vibe. This is the spot! The food is to die for and prices are very low for the amount of food you get.The coffee is amazing! & the best part is the amazing customer service you get. BERNAND is the best! I love the art and culture of this place. It’s absolutely amazing. The Turkish coffee was a treat as was the dish it was served on. Beautiful. The vanilla yogurt and whipped egg whites dessert was heavenly! It’s a must try.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE, is really close to where I live. The service here is fenomenal!!! The food is delicious, and what I love the most is that is fresh food that you’re getting, this places transports me to turkey not only for the food but the decoration I just love it. 100% recommend!!!

Cafe Bubamara was eclectic, charming, delicious and heart-warming.

I had a crepe filled with chicken and cheese, fabulous. My friend had French toast which was delicious and so pretty (check out pix)

We also shared a mini Burek filled with cheese and spinach - heaven! First time having Turkish coffee, and it's a must have.

Service, food, atmosphere, decor... 10 out of 10. Please don't miss this gem. Oh and this is a must for date day/night!!!

The place is beautiful. It has a big menu with a lot of delicious food. We went for a late lunch and we had a great time. I defenetly recommend it!

I've been here 2 times this past week once on Wednesday evening with 1 best friend and 2nd time on Friday evening with 2 best friends and I have to say it is stunning, such an awesome place love the decor.

The whole aesthetic is beyond words. I love the old school European feel, the images on the walls, the music and most of all the food, desserts and drinks are 10 stars 🌟🤩 all the way!!!

This place far surpasses any other place I've been to this year. Cafe Bubamara does get packed to the hilt, so if you have time make sure to go early. They don't take reservations but it is soooooo worth the wait. They have an outside part in the front part of the establishment and also a wonderful garden area in the back. 👍

The staff is amazing, so on point and know their food. The desserts are out of this world tasty. They even have a strudel that's made to order. My friend had the cherry one yesterday and it was so flaky and delicious. The cherry filling packed with cherries was tart and sweet the perfect combination of both flavors. Like a burst of flavor in your mouth with a light dusting of sugar on top it was just so right.. Just like grandma used to make... now there is a place we can all come to, to experience old world culture and food ❤ ambiance and friends.

This whole heartedly is one gem of a place in the middle of Botany village in Clifton NJ. This is a place where memories are made and will make as the years progress.

Super friendly and happy staff 👍 Owner also very nice and cordial. I only wish great success to them. I know they'll make it. This is a place that'll stay because of what it brings to the community. A warm and inviting place for the masses of people who love to dine out. There is nothing better than going to a place that you love to go to because of the way they make you feel. ❤ and because you love the food.

I absolutely 💯 recommend this diamond in the rough Cafe/Restaurant. Also a great place for a date or to meet your friends/family and enjoy your night.

What's another great thing is you don't feel rushed to get out like most places. As long as you are eating and drinking, all is good. But they do tell you (All is so good here! Because it is).

We wanted to have some dessert and coffee but wanted a nice date night vibe. Coffee was amazing, but the cheese filled pastry was the star in my eyes. I'm definitely coming back.

My friend and I recently had a delightful brunch experience at the Turkish restaurant. The highlight of our meal was the vitamin salad with sesame crispy chicken fingers. The combination of the fresh, vibrant vegetables in the salad and the perfectly cooked chicken fingers was a burst of flavors and textures that left us craving for more.

To conclude our meal on a sweet note, we couldn’t resist the temptation of the delicious mini pancakes paired with Turkish coffee. The pancakes were fluffy and indulgent, and the Turkish coffee added a perfect touch of rich, aromatic tradition to our meal.

Overall, the food and ambiance at this Turkish brunch place made our day truly memorable. We’ll definitely be returning for another round of their delightful dishes.

This spot is one of my favorites. The ambiance is wonderful, the food is delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Don't miss out on trying the Uštipci – they're an absolute must!

Being from Balkan, I heard a lot about this place but never had a change to visit before. I knew it’s good but this was MUCH more than expected!
Amazing menu, delicious food and beautiful patio!

Food was amazingly delicious! My first time trying Turkish food. The Turkish coffee definitely must try you won't regret it. Their fresh squeezed orange, lemon and grapefruit juice was such a refreshing drink. The atmosphere is so pretty. My only recommendation to this place is to get more waitresses/waiters because it get crowded. I will definitely visit this place again.

My friend and I came here for the first time today for brunch. The food was amazing and savory. I ordered the Bubamara omelette and my friend ordered the breakfast wrap. Both were so delicious and tasted really fresh. We also ordered the spinach and cheese burek which was my favorite of all the food I had. It was fresh, flaky, and just perfect . We also had a cappuccino and the Turkish coffee which I highly recommend. The staff are also really nice and attentive. We are def coming back soon!

Delicious food from the Balkans, you must try burek, ćevapi, cakes, coffee.... And homemade Yogurt is one of a kind!

What an excellent experience !!! Wow, the overall esthetic of the restaurant is perfect. Fun, chic, different. The food was extraordinary & we truly can’t wait to come back soon . The outside patio area was so enjoyable. Definitely a great place to have a wonderful meal. The Turkish coffee was phenomenal.

I live 8 minutes from this place and I discovered it only couple of days ago and I was beyond happy about it.
The food here is amazing! They bake their own bread and it’s so delicious (much better than from American supermarkets).
They also bake their pastries and many foods are home made!
I love this place so far! It’s very cozy and cute inside and it’s much bigger than it looks from outside.
Another big plus is MENU WITH PICTURES!!! I I’m always have a hard time visualize the food menu when I just read it but here you can look at the picture and decide if you like it or not.
It gets busy on the weekends and parking is only on the streets.
I give 5 stars and the bets review for this place!!!

We went here for brunch at 11am on a Saturday. It was fairly crowded by that time, but not overcrowded. The place is beautifully decorated, and almost makes you feel like you're on vacation somewhere, and not in Clifton, NJ. The food was spot on, no complaints! The service was warm and helpful also. Will definitely go back here, worth a high recommendation and definitely worth trying!

Nice and cute Macedonian Café in New Jersey. One item on the menu was pretty Turkish breakfast item looking, the honey and feta cheese with fried dough. Overall it’s a nice cafe and tons of selections to choose from. Only caveat on my end was that they don’t offer any halal meat options but other non-meat stuff was good 👍

This is the ONLY place that I’ve given All 5 stars for food, service, atmosphere and overall.

I 100% recommend this cozy cafe for a weekend or a weekday brunch.

Walked in on a Saturday morning and was able to secure a table without any wait. The breakfast/lunch was great 😍

Can’t wait to try the desserts there ♥
