Umi Sushi

Nice little Japanese restaurant in downtown Millburn serving the freshest sushi and sashimi I ever tasted! Lunch menu was a bargain and I was very full and satisfied! Will definitely come back here again!

I had the Salmon Teriyaki yesterday for lunch and it was absolutely divine. I did also enjoy the Miso soup to start with but I fully recommend this establishment for some seriously delicious food!

Veery fresh fish. Good menu selections and great service. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great sushi experience.

The food here is always great. The staff is friendly. The place is clean. The food comes on time. We will be back! :)

Didn't take a picture of the food but I should've. I got the chicken teriyaki ben5o box and the eel sashimi with mildly low expectations. Thing is, their portions were perfect for me, the chicken was cooked perfectly, not burnt or under cooked like other sushi restaurants, their plain rice you can tell was cooked with love. The mild sweetness plus a hint of rice wine. Not sure if that's really how they cooked it but daaaaamn. Oh and the onions? Not charred, not severely undercooked, it was damn near amazing. Their miso is pretty great, personally would have preferred a bit more tofu but that's just a me thing. Their salad was also properly portioned and to be honest I came in thinking they'd be busy but I'm glad I came when it was pretty quiet. The service was quick and the staff was great. Next time I will probably order more though 😅. Give this place a shot and dine in. It's amazing

Regular customer - fresh delicious sushi always!!!! With seating at the sushi bar or in/out side…staff is friendly, place is clean and will be there this week again.

Based on this past visit, the sushi was delicious and very fresh. Specially rolls were large and one was enough for a meal. The rolls ordered were about $19 each.

Some of the best sushi I've ever had. We always get the salmon sushi, spicy salmon roll, and avocado roll. The avocado is always the perfect firmness and consistency. The salmon is out of this world. The miso soup is full of flavor and consistent. I love the ginger salad dressing as well. The service is great and the place is BYOB.

I didn't try anything special, just tuna and salmon sushi, but they were exactly what good tuna and salmon sushi should taste like.

Nice decor and vibe. A lot of sushi joints feel kind of dim and cramped, maybe that's more authentic, but Umi felt the opposite which was perfect for lunch on a sunny weekend.

Excellent selection of hot foods and sushi, sashimi, and more. Expertly prepared. Sushi rice is properly at room temperature. I can't stand it when the rice is cold. Fish is at the correct temperature for the type. Good grades and cuts. Presentation is geared for Instagram—I should have taken pictures.

Great specials, had live scallops the last time I went. Absolutely heavenly. The previous special was surf clam, I think, but I did not get it then. Regrets! BYO is always a plus.

This place has a very unique atmosphere and the food is amazing. I went up to see my family and we stopped by for some quick food. Although the place was jammed, they served our food less than 10 minutes after we ordered. All the waitors are friendly, as in any Asian restaurant, you can ask any of them for anything and they would bring it up to you gladly. I'm glad that I discovered this gem.

Excellent service and great sushi! Cuts and temp of fish were perfect. Special roll (sexy) was excellent as well. Fun to be able to sit outside too in Millburn (Nice little town).
