This is what we have in DunkerHook area of Saddle River County park.
1. A huge picnic area with a very good play area and swings for young kids.
2. A bike and walk path parallel to the two different water streams. Be careful to walk on the left side. So bicyclers can pass by easily.
3. Benches at short distance alongside the walk path. So elders can seat and relax but youngsters can continue walking and meet them back on return path.
4. A small waterfall that makes a good relaxing waterfall sound if you seat on one of the close by benches.
5. Park has different areas. Some really small areas like Area C to park 10 cars and have your own picnic right across.
6. Parking is enough on a given day but it may get busier over the weekend.
Enjoy!!

Quite an enjoyable park with several paved pathways to walk along the river. It gets plenty of use from people in the neighborhood as well as people coming here as a destination. Restrooms are available near the parking areas and some smaller trails go into the woods.

Love this park. I used to walk the entire trail (10 mi?) Years ago ... Before I became confined to a wheelchair. I still like to find a quiet spot to eat lunch in the car and watch the squirrels and the people enjoying themselves. Some of the other sister parks have too many geese.

I have so many good memories in this park. It was one of the first places I went biking when I was a little kid, and now as a young adult, I enjoy exploring all the different paths and trails to see different parts of the woods and the river. You can feel like you're in nature even in the middle of one of the densest areas of the country.

This side of the park is a little bit quieter than other parks, along with Saddle River.
There is a small playground and plenty of space for having a picnic or a huge gettering purpose.
There are small ponds over there.
You can have your kids fishing over there. Pretty much you can catch a finish every time you kids can enjoy and you as well.

The park is a great place for a bike ride walk or roller blading session. There are bathroom facilities in multiple spots along the pathway and plenty of benches to take a rest. Some are in the shade so you can cool down on a hot day and some are in the sun if you want to warm up on a cold day.

The path follows the river for the most part and connects to Glen Rock, Ridgewood and Rochelle Park if you want to spend time at a duck pond. The Saddle river is stocked with fish in the spring so there are good spots to fish and you often see people fishing.

All in all Saddle river park is a great spot to spend some time exercising or relaxing.

Small playground and with a lot of walking trails. There’s a big parking are. The playground looks a bit rundown and could use a bit of upgrading. Overall, nice little spot for your little one to play.

I go there a lot, mostly to look at nature, stay off the beaten path. But whether it's a solo walk, or a group outing this is a nice local place to bring the kids and the grandparents! Especially if you don't have time to get to the forest, mountains, rivers or lakes. You can rollerblade, ride bicycles, or go for a jog! Try it if you can!

Pack a nice lunch, a sandwich or salad, and have lunch under the trees in the shade. Plenty of space to find a peaceful, quiet spot to read a book or just chill. Good walking path going north or south.

There is lots of shade in this park, which is great during the hot summer months. There are plenty of picnic tables too. It's almost never crowded here so you might have the place to yourself.
