Foodtown of Riverdale

Great experience. It's my first time here. Same or better products, equal to wholefoods and Trader Joe's. Now I don't have to travel to and fro to Manhattan. My go to place when in Riverdale.

I think this is the best supermarket in the area tbh. I only get my fruits and vegetables from here because it’s fresh and last long and I have been going here for a year now. If I go elsewhere my fruits and vegetables expire the next day. I also think the prices are pretty decent compared to others.

This is a great neighborhood supermarket. They are always cleaning and keeping the store clean. They serve hot food that is very delicious for breakfast and lunch. Staff is always present and helpful when you need items you can’t find.

Great grocery store. Has a wide variety of selections. Great prices and staff is really nice. They always have good deals which is helpful in this lack luster economy. The deli department is great as well.

Bigger market than others and more options on international foods. Still have kosher options as well. Prices are also typically better than other bigger corporate markets.

This market is a bit out of my way and they don't have parking BUT, they have awesome groceries!! I went there to purchase one hard to find item and when I got there, they had a plethora of interesting products. Wound up spending $100 and actually, I can't wait to go back!!!

Excellent neighborhood supermarket. They have pretty much everything you could ask for from hot food to a full service deli that offers sandwiches salads as well as specialty salads. A large selection of meats, dairy products and a nice selection of produce that is quite plentiful in terms of variety. They also have a very nice beer selection that will please most every palate. I want to recommend the non-alcoholic brand. It's called athletic brewing, and they have a very good tasting non alcoholic beer. I recommend the run wild IPA version of their beer. Excellent beer. They have the usual frozen foods, ice creams,and such and there's never a lack of service whenever you choose to go.

This is a great supermarket. It's a little small, but it's always clean and well-organized. The staff is always nice and very helpful. Great selection of produce and meats. They also have a well-stocked "ethnic" section. Good options for Indian, East Asian, and Caribbean cooking.

Moved to NYC (specifically Inwood) about eight months ago after living in the suburbs of Minneapolis my entire life. Was spoiled with outstanding grocery stores, and have struggled to find a high quality “main” store here. Ultimately, after giving lots of chances to just about everything with a mile of my apartment, it’s really clear that this one is the best — by far. It’s the the best combination of variety, freshness (especially the produce), and overall pleasant and clean visual presentation of everything. It seems like every other store has something about it that is either lacking (selection) or downright terrible (usually produce). This Foodtown is easily a cut above all the rest, and well worth the short (two stops) subway ride.
