Saddle Brook Diner

I have only been here once, and it’s now my favorite diner! Everything was exceptional here, from the service, the food, and the short wait time. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our server was attentive and anticipated our needs before we had to ask for anything. I went on my birthday during lunch, and it was busy, yet the service wasn’t lacking in any area.

Had a great dinner so we came back for breakfast. Both were amazing and definitely will be coming back.

The pasta and marinara sauce with chicken Parm was on point.

update: 2/14/24 went there on my birthday and had the lambchops with French onion soup. It was fantastic!!

Highly Recommend!!! This was our first time here but it won't be our last. The food was exceptional & large portions. Everyone was very friendly, it was very clean and decorated nice. When we walked in & saw the "Pink Cadillac" on the wall and Elvis sitting in a booth on the other, my daughter was in heaven!

Came in for lunch today. The food & the service was great!

Loved the French toast that I shared with my boyfriend as well as the Philly cheese steak and oh my god their DISCO FRIES!! Perfectly seasoned and melty , fries somehow stay crispy with drenched in gravy. It was heaven. My only critique was that the Philly cheese steak was a bit dry, only came with the meat onions and cheese but I asked for mayo on the side and it was great!

Overall, our experience here was really nice, fast service, friendly waitress and delicious food. I’m surprised at the comments that said the food was average , or didn’t taste good because that was not our experience at all😊. Give it a chance!

This place has an amazing menu. Service was great the staff had a smile on our faces. I live nearly 40 mins south but I'm actually so looking forward to being back again!

We are regular there after cycling at the saddle brook river park. We really love all the foods except for some seafood menu. They are always welcoming guests and kind.

If you love Jersey diners then you’ll love the Saddle Brook Diner located off of Market Street as it's no small feat to have a thriving diner with all the competition. Upon arrival, one sees the murals of Americana on the walls and model train running across the top of the walls. While their menu is as extensive as any typical NJ establishment, everything on their menu is made well. From breakfast, to burger to dinner entrees one could always count on the food where my partner and I ordered for takeout dinner. We decided on two tonight’s specials - Chicken Primavera (Sauteed Chicken and Vegetables in a light cream sauce tossed in a Farfalle Pasta) and Seafood Bruschetta (Scallops,Shrimp,Calamari & Mussels, Sauteed in a White Wine Sauce,Tossed w/Bruschetta & Capellini Pasta). Both included either a soup or salad and house cake. The exceptional food remained hot in its containers with large portions. The orders were accurate because of the friendly and pleasant staff. Annette took the call and made sure we were taken care of. We can recommend this place.

This place is outstanding!! Service, cleanliness are one of the best I've seen on a diner. Food came out quickly and hot. Hard to find a good diner like this one these days.

Plenty of parking on their huge parking or off the street.

From the waitress, bus boy and hostess they were all very attentive and polite.

Worth the trip. Will definitely be visiting again.

Friendly staff, super clean inside. Had the classic cheeseburger, waffle fries, and a oreo shake. My friend had the waffle burger and he loved it. Another had a different type of burger. Cooked to perfection. 👏. Will return definitely.

Been to different dinners top 5 for sure, food and service were top notch. Would definitely recommend. Is very family friendly. Only thing i think it needs it’s bigger tv for the entertainment aspect.

This is one of our favorite places to eat! Prices are reasonable and food is always delicious any time of day! Whether is a fiesta burger with curly fries, or just eggs and hash brown - I always leave my plates squeaky clean 😂

Love the breakfast menu. Great prices. Great service. Plenty of parking and even when it's busy I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a table.

This is an upscale diner without the upscale prices. Very friendly and personable management. Tina and Steve were great hosts. I had a cup of very flavorful chicken soup followed by one of the best BLT's I've had in a long time. Cole slaw was nice and creamy. My waitress, Karen, was friendly, attentive and efficient. As a desert, Steve created an eye appealing and scrumptious Hazelnut cappuccino. (See photo) All in all, a satisfying meal and experience. I'll be back..and I did.. this time fresh corned beef on rye was very tender.

Be very careful if you are coming from Rt 80, the left crossing traffic can be dangerous. Also look 4 times before you make the left out of the restaurant.

Not as noisy as Topps in East Newark. This place has a cozier, upscale vibe.

Heading to PA and just needed a quick bite with my family...we googled waffles and like 3 places popped up we went here and it was a GREAT choice!! Plates are big, food is realllly gooooood and the service at least ours was great! Definitely coming back!!

My favourite Diner in New Jersey! Superior Burger and Grilled Meat. The are all garnished with their lengendary saddle brook diner french fries, if you want. I don't know exactly what they do with their fries but when the leave the kitchen magic happens! They are crunchy, delicious and simply the best French fries on the holy mother earth! Fact! I love this place, if you are near, try it out.

10/10 diner. I got the Fiesta burger and a chocolate milkshake and it was SO good. The shake was amazing and the burger was just so juicy and thick. Easily one of the best burger and milkshakes I’ve ever eaten. The waiter was funny and friendly, even though the place was quite busy; she never missed a beat and was always quick to deliver with anything I requested.
