Mount Prospect Park

Mount Prospect Park, located at the dead end of Harrington Road, is one of the more popular parks in the city of Clifton. It has, not only the standard features that one would expect to see in a park, jungle gym, swings, etc cetera, but also a full court basketball court, and three large baseball/softball fields. It is host to Clifton Central Little League, a very successful league. In addition, one of the iconic parts of the landscape at this park, and always a memorable talking point, is the 120 "steps" leading from the park's western end up to Mount Prospect Avenue.

Nice area to walk or run. Has many picnic beaches which are much appreciated! Maintained beautifully and super clean.

Fields are nice and well kept. Great experience for kids playing in the league. Also great park for children to enjoy if they arent playing baseball! Nice basketball court but could use some TLC

If you're looking for a good park in Clifton the sleigh ride in, then come here! The hill isn't the longest or fastest around northern New Jersey but it's easy to find parking and getting up and down the hill is easy enough.
The hill bottoms out by Brighton road however the last time we went the plows had piled up a nice amount of snow along the edge so nobody could go into the street.But I'd recommend having somebody at the bottom to make sure.
If you come here in the summertime there are a couple of baseball fields and I believe the concession stand is here but I've never been here when it's open.
If you're looking to exercise this has a very long staircase that goes up the back to Prospect Ave I forget how many stairs are all count next time.

This place is amazing my son loves it and he has a blast there he can sit there for days and just talk baseball. Both of the owners are super nice and we enjoy the free gum!
