Outstanding food and courteous service. Pretty much a take-out only restaurant. The soup, dumplings and egg rolls are the best. Sherry is a wonderful and caring person.

I was looking online for a Chinese food place with great reviews when I first heard of Bamboo House. It’s only been a few times that I’ve been able to stop in since I don’t live close, but whenever I’m in Ridgewood, I like to get something to eat here. It’s tough to find a truly great Chinese restaurant & this place lives up to the hype. The portions are generous, the dishes are saucy & flavorful & fresh. What really seals the deal for me though is the service; they are kind & friendly in a warm, sincere way. Bamboo House has been in business for a long time, for good reason. 10/10

The food here is excellent!!! The dumplings have an award for one of the best in Bergen County !,I can totally agree.And Sherryl the owner is one of the most wonderful persons I've ever met.Also, she has been in this business for more than 30 years!!

Great food that was fresh, wok made with Smokey authentic flavor, generous portions, gravy light not greasy, nothing old, I had house stir fried rice, excellent, the Singapore noodles were just a little heavy handed in the curry but I could adjust that at home, the chicken with broccoli were fresh, crispy veggies, and tender chicken.
It’s been a long time since Asian food came close to what I experienced in my travels to Asia.

Simply the best Chinese food I have found in all of Bergen county. And trust me, I have looked! I ordered wonton soup, Shrimp with mango sauce, pork lo mein and of course the house made pork and shrimp dumplings. You will be hard pressed to find Chinese food made with fresh ingredients like they do here.

Hands down our favorite Chinese place. Huge portions, everything is always incredibly fresh and high quality ingredients. You have to get the Mama's dumplings in peanut sauce and the Bamboo Chicken dish is outstanding. Owner Sherry is always so kind and welcoming. Her house hot sauce is incredible too.

Don't let the look of the place fool you. I don't know how such a tiny place can serve such good food, but they do. You can't order a bad item - the wonton soup is one of my favorites. Prices are a bit high but everything tastes delicious and you get a large quantity that will feed several people.

Sherry and Aldo always deliver the BEST tasting food. Everything on the menu is great!! There isn’t anything that I haven’t liked/loved!!!
AND their servings are so generous, most times I have a meal for two days. Moms dumplings, anglehair noodles, spring rolls and Lo Mein are just a few of my favorites but try anything and I guarantee you’ll love it.

Bamboo House is a great place to get tasty food with huge quantities that will last you at least a couple of meals. And Sherry is what you'd expect of someone who runs a Ridgewood institution. During the height of the pandemic, she was handing out masks to her customers that her relatives had shipped over to her at a time when most of us couldn't get masks regularly. She's also been very helpful in figuring out dishes for my daughter who has several food allergies. I highly recommend their Hot and Sour soup, their egg rolls and shrimp rolls, Mom's dumplings, the pork with eggplant, and the shredded pork, but most of all I recommend that you ask what their specials are for the day. I've been pleasantly surprised by many of the specials, and it is how I got to taste Sherry's Crispy Curry Dumplings which are simply amazing and should become a part of the regular menu.

I have been going to Bamboo House for 9 years and it is the best place I have ever order Chinese food. Sherry and Aldo are the absolute best, with fresh made and hand made everything. Be sure to get the dumplings and double your order bc they are amazing!

Sherry is awesome. Get her special dumplings. Order off her specials. If you like your food a certain way... extra spicy or little oil, let her know.

"Sherry's House", AKA: Bamboo House, is incredible! The best Chinese food around!

My family and I have been coming here for a few years and it's always delicious. The pork dumplings, with her special peanut sauce is incredible (I love the dumplings fried or steamed, either way is great).

My favorite dish is the ginger chicken with string beans. She often has different specials as well, or can just recommend something great based on what you enjoy to eat. Eg: if you're craving something with Shrimp, she may suggest a delicious shrimp & lobster dish, which was a new dish for me to to try.

Bamboo House is small, but always hopping with all of their orders -which is to no surprise since it's high quality and consistent every time. Thank you!!

This is the best Chinese food in town. The prices may seem a little high but they’re really not; it’s because her portions are literally twice the size of a normal portion.
We recently ordered two orders of beef lo mein and it tooks us three days to finish them. Best lo mein I’ve tried by the way.

Most importantly, the quality of her ingredients is better than I’ve tried anywhere else. And the flavors in her dishes are amazing.

We highly recommend this place.

Bamboo House is the best food around!! Their dumplings and Ginger chicken are part of our weekly meals!! Lo Mein and fried rice are also amazing!! And we are always given our food with such appreciation as their customers... this place is a gem spot in Ridgewood!! A must try, you won’t regret it!!

So we were sick and tired of paying good money for bad food and decided to look for a place with a better rating. Mind you this other place is highly rated but I felt it left something to be desired. We went all out and bought 7 items off the menu so we could try a little bit of everything. I can assure you this place is LIT!! I don't even know where to begin it's all so fantastic! The chips are light and Airy and the sauce with the fried dumplings is divine. The sesame chicken and moo shu chicken, also very good. Both Soups were fabulous. Even the pork in the lo mein is tender and thinly cut, all of the meat is high quality, there is no questioning what you might really be chewing on. The only recommendation I would make is extra sauce if you're getting the General Tso's chicken. This is true high quality Chinese at its best!

Haven't been to this place in way too long - an amazing experience, honest and true. I've ordered the sesami chicken (my own choice of white or dark meat) and opted for dark. The chicken is crispy and hot. The flavors are bursting, and the food is overall good. But to really be amazed, try the dumplings. The lady/owner there makes it herself and man are they good. So unique, a bit large (but thats good) and utterly delicious. Its such a small place you'd almost miss it, or mistake it for something of lesser value and quality. But think again!
