What a great find! First off, the staff here is amazing, super friendly, and ready for any and all questions. Next, the food!!! It was one of the best burgers I have ever had. I opted for the Chipotle Burger, and it did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection and flavorful with a heaping mound of fries. You will not leave hungry. My other friend got a huge salad with chicken, and it looked and smelled so good!!!! There are so many beers on tap and drink specials. We also were entertained by live music from a band called Earthgrinders. The volume was such that you could still have a conversation. There's plenty of seating and parking, and the place is very clean with a cool vibe....it's indeed a saloon!!!! I can't wait to come back and try other burgers and other items on their menu. We'll done Dog House, very well done.

The food and the portions are spectacular. If you like tiny dive bar, you'll love the atmosphere, me, not so much. My band "Parkway South" plays here a lot, that's how I know this place has GREAT food and the service is non stop. They're great!

Fantastic location, ownership, restaurant, staff, food and great music. Live music every Friday and Saturday and open mic acts on Wednesday. The best burgers this side of the Mississippi River.

Picked up dinner to go last night. The heroes and burgers are huge!! Enough for leftovers. They are delicious too. I very rarely eat fries but they smelled so good, I had to try them. Im glad i did. Lots of food for a good price.

They have the most amazing sandwiches anybody has ever seen or eaten prices are very reasonable and it is very cozy inside with very friendly bartenders. I recommend going online and looking at the size of the sandwiches that they sell people they are absolutely delicious and amazing it puts a smile on your face cuz you feel like you're not getting ripped off and you're getting a great bargain and a great price for what they are serving

This place has literally been on my radar for almost two years; I read a review citing its incredible burgers and it has taken this long for me to get up this way (2 hours from home, thanks to a client meeting in the area). Let me begin by saying this place has been described as a 'dive bar' and though I don't have much experience with establishments of that classification, I'd say that's pretty accurate. It's small, intimate, and during the day at least, likely a shadow of its rockin' self at night when the live music is playing. But, I digress...

You are looking at the aptly-named "Meat Lovers Burger," which has their 1/2 pound Angus beef patty, crispy bacon (I counted at least eight, possibly ten slices), fried pepperoni, grilled Taylor Ham ('Pork Roll'? Not on your LIFE!), cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion. I wish I'd taken a photo as the waitress brought it over, I could tell it was epic from 20 feet away.

Can a burger be "too big"? Yes, it can, obviously, and the Meat Lovers Burger (and possibly others on the menu) should come with instructions: "some disassembly may be required." I literally had to remove the bacon (and eat it like a french fry, separately, after each bite) to have even the most REMOTE chance of fitting this monster into my mouth. IT WAS SO WORTH THE EFFORT!

The bun-to-meat ratio was adequate only because of the MASSIVE amount of meat in the sandwich. The bun itself was similarly MASSIVE and not really to my taste as I try to avoid bread as much as possible (low-carb dieting, you know.) The burger was cooked acceptably (I asked for rare, seemed to come out a little more well done) but the rest of the assembly was flawless, making this CLEARLY among my Top Ten burgers of all time. The fries (the few that I had) were tasty and the service was fast and friendly, just what you'd expect. Parking is available but be advised the painted lines on the pavement aren't always super visible so you might find yourself getting creative with where you park. I had no problem (visited around 3pm on a weekday).

This is one of my favorite places to go. They have great food the owners are the nicest people you'll ever meet. on the weekends I have the best family room everyone that goes there is really nice there's great parking. The reasonably priced you could have dinner and drinks and fun for the night.

Best hamburgers in Bergen County. Generous pour on the cocktails. Great onion rings and wings.

Servings are enormous which is surprising given the not so enormous prices. And the taste was fantastic! Great place for exceptional bar food!

We checked out this place for dinner and drinks because a band we like was playing. I grew up nearby and did not have high hopes. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! The sound for the band was good and the food was better! We had wings and meatball sliders and were very happy with both. Can't wait to go back!

This is a gem of a place great food if you go for lunch don't plan on eating dinner.

Don't let the looks fool you. Place is definitely underrated for food and drinks.They have the largest sandwiches I ever seen. Really large menu and cold drinks. Really friendly staff.

This a great little local establishment run by a awesome owner with a great staff. I personally look forward to going there everytime I know I am playing there. And soon to have Jazz on Thrusday nights. The food is amazing and salads so big you will have some the next day. I highly recommend it here.

Food was a little dry for the chicken tenders. It was also warm inside, no air condition.

Great time with the bartenders and regulars. Tasty food with portions that leave you with leftovers. Veggie burger and chicken Parm hero were out choices for the night. Delicious!

For some one who's grown up in the area...I can only say I'd wish I'd stopped by earlier. Dog House is one of those perfect combination bars that makes you feel comfortable and serves you amazing food. Will, behind the bar, is the man and makes great suggestions for what to order. Great service. The kitchen is another plus in itself...you can faintly hear good music coming from behind the double doors...whatever comes out of them tastes just as loud. Clean bar, pool table, dart board, and TVs.
