Fragale's Bakery

I've included 5 stars for this place because this bread has been a staple in my life. Also, the problem may be only for me and a select few. Has anyone else noticed a difference in the taste of the bread. I'm not sure if it's the flour or the seeds but to us, the bread has a bitter after taste, almost like the taste of drinking a diet soda compared to regular. My wife an I have actually gotten headaches after eating it. I've called the bakery and inquired about it but the guy on the phone said everything is the same. I was wondering if maybe their suppliers have changed their sources on where they are buying the flour or the seeds. I even went as far as buying similar bread from 2 other reputable bakeries and found no problems, only the taste of fresh bread. I hope the Fragale family is reading this, so they can do their diligence finding out what's different.

Bread is always warm and fresh

Between my family and me we've been going to fragales Bakery for the past 45 50 years the bread is unbelievable especially the semolina the double seated when I go to the bakery I always have to break a piece of the corner and eat it on the way home 😄

The freshest bread all day, everyday. If you call ahead they will even sell you dough. For the record the hand rolled double seeded semolina is super crusty and absolutely to die for.

Delicious fresh bread. My old school italiano famiglia has been getting bread here for decades. I approve.

omg! the best Italian and semolina bread in town, maybe even the state. It's got the right crisp on the outside and the perfect soft inside. The taste is on point. Also great dinner rolls and raisin bread.

Always come here for the semolina bread! No one makes it like them. Perfect consistency of soft with the crunchy crust

Went there today because I thought I'd see something I don't see in the Korean fruit store in Hackensack that carries their regular Italian(which is great) . I made eggplant cutlets this morning and wanted the absolute best sesame seeded Italian bread for eggplant parmesan heros. OMG!!- their double seeded crispy crusty large semolina bread was the BEST I've EVER had>>and that includes NYC.Simply delicious and satisfying....who the heck needs to put anything on it!!!! Go >> the extra 20 minutes is worth it.And,the guy and woman were so ,so nice.

Been going to Fragale's Bakery since I was a little girl and Mr. & Mrs. Fragale would greet you. Now I when I go in I'm still greeted with a warm & friendly Hello. The bread, what can I say? Nothing beats a loaf of Fragale's bread right out of the oven. And now they've expanded and make stuffed breads along with pastries.

The best bakery around the owner Andrew is a sweetheart during the holidays he puts free stuff out for the customers including drinks definitely Italian style
