This spot is THE BOMB DOT COM!! The carne guisada is always so tender and savory, their rice is always fluffy and the empanadas are always juicy and crispy!! If I lived closer, I think I'd be here eveeyday. And it's not that hard on your wallet!

I ordered through Uber eats 30 min before closing & my food was nice and hot. The soup was flavorful and everything I hoped it to be. I always ordered 2 empanadas cheese & beef and they were great as well. I will definitely order again. I was skeptical because of the previous reviews but everybody will have a different experience, the same way everybody can have a bad day the same way goes for restaurants. I suggest you give it a try 😋

Food is on point! Always delicious and a great amount for a good price. Cheese Empanadas are my favorite there..since it's not skimpy like other restaurants. Ladies are very pleasant as well. If your are in the area it's a must.

First time ordering through Uber Eats. Ordered 3 Golpes was delicious. Definitely will order again.

I have never been there but I ordered twice and the food is delicious and so fresh. Is really the best I wish they have more options on the door dash menu

If you’re looking for Dominican food, this restaurant is the spot. Their recipe is authentic. I’m allergic to dairy 🥛 they use a non dairy Bouillon to season all their food which is a plus for me 🥘 Overall, my experience customer service wise was good. I got greeted with a smile as soon as I walked in. There were 2 girls in the front, their customer service was excellent!!!

I got a grilled chicken breast. I paid 13 dollars, thinking I would get like half a chicken, since one chicken on its own is about 10 dollars. Bit this what I get to small chicken breast. The rice I made myself. they included a menu, and supposedly they were supposed to give me a side AND a salad. Got the salad, where's the other side... Why wasn't it mentioned? Not ordering from this place again.

Update: I've went to this place in person. The costumer service is amazing. Very amicable, kind. The food is made right in a place where you can see it. Overall is very clean, very polite staff. and very generous portion. I add four stars to the lonley one star I gave before. I sincerely apologize, it was a Grub hub fault and probably mine also.

This is a hidden gem in Garfield!! I’ve gone twice in one week because it really tastes like your grandmother was cooking in the back with hella love and Sazón! It’s my new Dominican spot in the area!

The staff was very friendly and inviting. They were always available when we needed them and they checked up on us to see if everything was ok. Drinks and food are reasonably priced, and tasty. We ordered some appetizers and a couple of dishes and were very satisfied with the taste and preparation.

Great new local restaurant. You can always feel welcome upon entering and The food is reminiscent of classical homemade Dominican food almost as good as my grandmother used to cook lol. Friendly staff and they appreciate your business and always provide good customer service and the food is excellent. A very good solution when you need a good meal fast. The only negative is that they are closed on Sunday. I wish they were closed on Mondays not Sundays because Sundays is a good day and everybody leans towards buying takeout from restaurants.

Good spot for local take out. We didn't like that they weren't wearing masks at the height of Covid last year, but that has been rectified. I've always ordered in person, so have never experienced the mix-up with the delivery orders mentioned in the reviews. We have been several times and the pernil and the chicken has been really good each time.

Placed a last minute order for 4 rotisserie chicken on thanksgiving and their customer service was excellent. My order was ready in a timely manner and I didn’t have to wait a long time. Finally found a great Spanish restaurant in Garfield! Thank you!

Had them cook our 1st annual Thanksgiving dinner of 90 people. We ordered a lot of food and everything was delicious and delivered right on time. Thank you so much for making our event a success. We will definitely be catering from here again in the near future.

Love the food and have been coming here since the day they opened. The service is not the fastest, but the food is good.

I ordered a combo of boneless chicken with (what I thought was included in the combo) rice and beans and a side order of maduros. When the food arrived, I received a huge order of chicken, a huge order of maduros, a salad, a two litter Coke but no rice nor beans. I called them and the lady that picked up transferred my call to Carlos, the owner. He explained that when you choose a meat, it comes with a side and since I ordered maduros, thats what I got. I told him that everywhere you order a COMBO it comes with rice and beans, that if their orders were like that then they should remove the word combo from the menu because that is not a combo. Carlos was VERY polite, friendly and diligent. He sent over an order of rice and beans at no cost. The reason for the 5 stars, is because the food was really good, and Carlos’ customer service was outstanding. I do think however, that the menu should be fixed to avoid confusion.

We have been trying different Dominican paces, and had a great experience with this restaurant delivery thru Door Dash today. Food was extremely tasty and fresh, and prices were fair. We ordered mangu, yucca, tostones, sweet plantains and a bunch of other items for a late weekend breakfast. The order was fulfilled correctly and utensils were provided. Only suggestion would be to add some detail to the menu online to make it easier to order... For example, there's a side dish called "vegetables" but it's unclear what kind of vegetables these are and how they're cooked, and also allow to order the fried cheese as a separate side dish option a la carte. Overall, very happy with the full experience and will definitely order again.

A hidden new gem! Authentic Dominican food that is beyond delicious. I love coming to eat here and ordering out. The chefs and staff are super friendly and attentive to the customers.
