The food is great. The pizza is very solid, excellent crust, cheese that achieves that ideal even melt, tangy sauce. The sides are just as good if not better - while in most small pie shops like this one the sides will be kind of an afterthought, here they're fantastic.

The service really makes this place stand out, especially if you're a regular. The staff remembers you, smiles, and have frequently added small bonuses, like an extra garlic knot or mozzarella stick, to my orders. I highly recommend this pizzeria both to locals who want a regular spot, and to visitors who want a taste of that legendary old fashioned small business New York pizza shop experience, which is rarer and rarer nowadays.

Been eating here since 1993. Anywhere I go I always find myself comparing the pizza to the one I grew up with: George’s. This place is a gem. Large pies, great crust, perfect stringy-yet-rubbery cheese w just enough sauce.

Yummy slices, good price and the sidewalk entrainment is free... lol.. Their white pie is also delicious! The guys behind the counter are great! Always good food.

Best pizza spot ever! There lasagna is delicious and that cheese hmmmmm! Plus the zeppole too! It's a institution here in the heights being coming here since I was a kid now I pass it on to my kids! Nothing beats hands down made not like the other franchise pizzas around here! If you want real New York pizza this is it!

I enjoy pizza all over the 5 boros and have many favorites . George's is one of them..Nothing fancy. Just a NYC pizza joint that produces great tasting pies...

Pizza is always consistent and very good. Staff very friendly and the seating - well typical pizza joint. Prices are also very reasonable.

I used to get slices here when I was in high school and after a long absence from the city, I'm so glad George was still here. Great slices, great people running it. This is a Heights institution.
