Thielke Arboretum

It is such a beautiful place with native plants and fauna. The trail is so relaxing. It seems very organized, and the people who work/volunteer here seem kind, knowledgeable, and loving what they do. A very nice lady gave us such a great intro and description of the arboretum, sharing as well a great bird ID app. A must place to visit!

First of many visits today. What a beautiful place to get a good dose of nature. My daughter and I enjoyed every bit. Plenty of parking. Fun playground for the little ones. Not overcrowded. Decent walking trails. Not recommended for strollers. Cannot wait to visit again in a couple of weeks when everything is in bloom.

Came across this beautiful by accident! The arboretum was beautifully maintained with lots of little surprises along the way, like the cute wooden bridges and educational signs. The natural playground was so sweet to stumble upon, and what a creative idea. Will definitely be back to explore more trails!

Very nice place to bring little kids for a nature walk. Parking is at entrance and the trails are very well maintained. Very picturesque with diverse ecosystems.

It was very pretty with easy walking paths. The pond is pretty, there are beautiful perennial areas and many tree specimens. There are plenty of benches to sit down

A great place to go on nature walks or take photos. Definitely a gem in the Bergen county area. There are benches throughout to sit. I definitely recommend bringing family and little ones

The Thielke Arboretum is a natural habitat with walking trails, pond views & a nearby playground. There's info cards along the nature walk & also an educational center providing programs. Donations & volunteers maintain the services. Large parking lot.

This place has a nice little hiking trail that gently goes up a little then down and winds around. Fun to walk. Not a wheelchair accessible trail. Great practice trail for kids too!

Just discovered this gem of a spot to relax and take-in nature. Great family place to look for wildlife and to enjoy the shade during the summer! There’s a playground right next to arboretum and restrooms were open on a Sunday afternoon but not sure if that is always true since they are in a building that can be locked. The parking lot was full because it is shared by members of the town pool, but there is also street parking.

What a wonderful park tucked away. My grandson and I had such a nice time exploring. Will definitely go back.

Nice park to take leisurely walks. The playground is gated and big, there are also tables where you can sit and eat or just relax. There's also a pond where you can see ducks swimming. It's a great place for a family outing.

The trail was nice to walk, which included small wooden bridges to cross.

My 3 year old loves coming here, he calls it the "big boy forest" and we always do the long loop before finishing off at the playground. Different animals and plants every time we go, an excellent way to spend a morning!

Very pretty area. Was good for walking with kids. They loved the little Bridges and paths.

I love the arboretum. It is such a beautiful and serene place to visit. My young children love the playground here which is fenced in and it offers shade in the summer heat. And my kids love to do the story walk and see the pond and the fountain. It's a whole day event if we bring a picnic lunch. It can get really busy during the summer because it shares a parking lot with the Glen Rock public pool.
