Excellent flavorful tasty and unique food! I usually order the Penne allá vodka the sauce usually makes the meal and it shows, my second favorite is their chicken Parmesan huge portions tasty red sauce and there mozerella sticks are ok they can improve on this but overall this restaurant is the best I know in uptown A++

We love ordering pick up from Il Sole from time to time. They’re very fast and we truly enjoy our go to dishes:

- large margherita pizza $18
- large cheese pizza $16
- small pesto pizza $14
- eggplant rollatini $13

We love the pizza’s because of their crusts, flavor and freshness. They’re just overall perfect!
The eggplant rollatini is very yummy, I love to put it on top of a toasted baguette, just delicious!

We live in the area, so they absolutely gained a loyal customer with us.

This place is for sure a gem. The entire experience was beyond enjoyable. The food, atmosphere, service and everything in between was remarkable. Every single thing we ordered was delicious and fresh. The employees were so helpful and patient. I would def come back to try everything on the menu. Do yourself a favor and visit.

We stumbled upon this place and it was a delight. The service was really good. The server was very sweet/friendly. I took a risk with the seafood pizza and it was surprisingly delicious. I’ve never had anything like it. It was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tried! My partner ordered the lasagna and loved it. They made us a very good virgin mojito since we don’t drink. Really good all around! And the pizza was so good that I would return!

This place won't disappoint you at all the food is amazing, as you could see from the pictures below. This location is very sweet, joyful and very comfortable. Small of course but make sure to call and make reservations. The staff is super attentive and friendly. Overall, I will be returning to this restaurant soon 👌🏽😌

I love coming here! As a local for more than 10+ years in Washington Heights/Inwood resident - I’ve always felt safe, welcomed and treated with so much love by the staff! The owner, Sandra, is the FIRST restaurant on the plaza and she has kept the highest quality of her food and customer services for more than 20+ Years! We do not need to worry about having incoming crowds who do not know how to behave in public as she makes sure all of her customers are well taken cared of and do not make others feel uncomfortable. The food - AMAZINGGGG!!! - as a notorious traveler - I really love the love they give in every dish! IL Sole definitely brings me back to Tuscany Italy with their pasta and wine selections. Lastly - Thursdays are LIVE JAZZ THURSDAYS!! ALLLLL YEAR AROUND IL Sole is my TOP choice on the Dyckman Strip. Women Owned - Minority Owned and lead by a great loving professional staff. We need more restaurants on the stripe to follow her lead in order for us locals to come and enjoy more!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place!
We had our son’s first birthday party here last week— everything was amazing! The food, the space, and the staff.

The food was outrageous!! Our guests raved about it. Everything from the house salad, to the penne alla vodka, to the chicken scarpariello was so well flavored and seasoned. Sandra was so incredibly accommodating with the menu; I am gluten free and have several food allergies, but she was able to have everything prepared to meet my needs (the whole spread was made GF!). In fact, we had come there for dinner one night a couple weeks before the party to try the food, and she literally had one of the staff go to the store to buy the GF pasta and flour for me. I was so touched. Also, some of our guests were vegan, and they were able to prepare a special dish for them that was not included on our menu, which was totally above and beyond.

We had the whole restaurant to ourselves, which was really nice and perfect for our party size (we had 50 guests including children). They put away any equipment/wires that were not necessary for the party to make it more children-friendly, which was really nice.
The location is also excellent— being so close to the HH parkway and Harlem River Drive made it super convenient for our guests coming from NJ and LI. Sandra also helped us out with finding parking for our large group, which was awesome.

And last but not least, the staff was so kind and courteous; all of our guests commented on how nice everyone was, and how well everyone worked together as a team.

Our whole family was so impressed overall with the quality of service. Our parents both commented on the fact that when they come into the city to visit us, they want to go out to dinner here!

We happened to stumble in during Jazz night, on Thursday, the staff was amazing, the food was good, and the service was exceptional. We had the lobster ravioli with shrimp and the penne ala vodka with chicken and it was exceptional! If you’re look g for good food and a good vibe this is the place to go!

Went here with my Mom today and had a wonderful time. Food tasted incredible, drinks were great, atmosphere is always great on Dyckman, what else can you ask for? Only thing to look out for is it being a bit pricey, but that’s how Manhattan is.

The food and service is always amazing! I had the shrimp mofongo which was to die for. I frequent this place and everything is simply delicious!👍👍😊😊

So I ordered the risotto and the cheese ravioli with vodka sauce. It was delicious, delicious! The vodka sauce was on point. The risotto needed a little bit more cheese or salt but it was also very good for $18.

Everything was amazing from the food to the service. Ambioris was great, didnt like the calamari but the ceaser salad, fettuccine Alfredo WITH CHICKEN and their pizza, slaps. (Pizza was a little salty but yummy) definitely will be returning!
