Crunch Fitness - Paramus

I’ve been going here since 2021 and I’m still a member here at Crunch fitness in Paramus. The reason why I’m leaving a 5 star review is because the staff is very friendly and attentive and the personal trainers are very friendly and approachable. The only downside to this gym is the equipment and floors are very dirty. Most of their equipment breaks a lot and takes more than a few weeks for it to get fixed! Overall their customer service makes up for it.

I am very happy with Zumba instructors. Julia is wonderful, Althea is the perfect replacement. I love that she brought weights to the routine. Janet is the best. Wonderful dancer/graceful. Maria is wonderful as well.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming as soon as I walk in. The gym environment encourages me to keep coming and working out! No one judges you on how you workout! The manger answers all my questions and even helped me with my membership.

I absolutely LOVE teaching The Ride at Crunch! My Riders are some of the coolest, hardworking, loving, and supportive people that I know! After 6 years in Paramus we are one happy (and sometimes crazy) family❤

I've been member at this gym location for 20 years. Initially World Gym before ownership changed to Crunch Gym. Was always pleased with World Gym, when transition took place, expectedly things changed, Crunch has their own Gym model. Overall the change went well, but over time things became somewhat spotty. Gyms are active places, so its not unexpected for some equipment be out of order. Generally these outages usually were addressed within reasonable time. However over some time there seemed to be a nondescript change of management energy if can say it that way. At times things seemed in disarray regarding equipment strewn about. Sadly a few members are uncaring or plain unaware, leaving things strewn or their empty water bottle. These not major, but does effect appearance and sense of a clean and "good place". I realize this is challenge of running a public gym, but nonetheless is on ownership to address. Crunch Paramus has a Manager that cares...Michael Rottino. Mike is a guy that understands, is personable and effective. He's there for the members well being and a great gym experience. Crunch Paramus is going thru a quasi major makeover, Mike is managing through all of this and continue to provide safe, clean facility for members. Mike's what any businessman should want as their managerial point man. Steady, competent, personable. This is a guy that cares about what he does. My opinion....it shows.

Love this Crunch Fitness. The place is clean and the staff is amazing Hiba, Max and Mike are awesome and make the atmosphere even better by being there.

Very friendly staff and a great gym close to home. Mike at the front desk has helped me jump start my car with no problems when I was stuck. The environment is part of what makes it a great gym.

Crunch Paramus gets a perfect score from me. It is an amazing experience working at this location.

Jocelyn was very welcoming and answered all of my questions. She eloquently described what was included in the membership and showed me the facility. She ensured my visit was a pleasant one. I look forward to utilizing all of the amenities. Congrats crunch fitness on having such a wonderful employee! I will tell my friends about this awesome gym. The facility was super clean too!

I have been a member of crunch for some time now, and ever since the new management took over I have noticed a huge difference in the operation of the gym. The new general manager Mike is very attentive to the needs of members and is very dedicated to improving the gym. I highly recommend!

Mike had helped us get a membership and was excellent with providing and explaining the different memberships. I wasn't to happy with the previous management but having a fresh face deff will help with retention. Thank you Mike good job!

I’ve been a member for ten years and the manager Mike is running this place better than ever.

I’m only leaving a review because I read some people complaining about the cleanliness and the staff being rude.
Let me start by saying that all of the staff are very respectful and polite, and regarding the cleanliness there is nothing to complain about, the gym is clean as well as the bathrooms and lockers, don’t forget it’s a gym and we all sweat when we work out, so by the end of the night it’s not going to look like the Taj Mahal.
The only request I have is that I would like to see at least three more dumbell bars, because a lot of times you have empty benches because all the bars are being used,.
Other than that, for the money you pay I can’t think of a better deal

"Thank-you Crunch" for getting a new manager at the Paramus location. Her name is Jocelyn and she is a major plus. Not only was she super friendly; but she was also super helpful and extremely knowledgeable which hasn't been the case in the past year. I was going to cancel my membership but now I have decided to stay. Only because of her. Thank-you for letting me share my opinion.

I am saddened to find out that Joseline is leaving Crunch Fitness!
She is the best manager the Gym has had since I joined 7 years ago. She is kind, attentive to members' concerns, doing the best she can to keep the Gym in good shape. She is always on the gym floor making sure all the weights area properly racked. She is the ONLY manager I have ever seen physically cleaning the machines, emptying the garbage cans. I don't think Crunch will ever have another manager as good as Joseline. It is unfortunate she will no longer with us. I and other members will definitely miss her presence. Wherever she is going will be very lucky to have her, I believe Crunch management lost a great talent.

Great "big box" gym. Plenty of equipment and space. It can get crowded during typical times (late afternoon into the evening), but that's to be expected. Clean, management and staff have upped their game in this department.
