Wonderful practice. I was a little apprehensive, trying a new dentist but my experience with the entire staff today was so comfortable I've decided to make this my new permanent dental provider. Not only was the office, bright and inviting, but the entire staff was professional, and very warm. Would absolutely recommend.

Amazing staff and dentist. They are very caring and have AMAZING bedside manner. I get high anxiety with dentists, but they eased my worries without even realizing.

Let me start off by saying the moment i walked into the office, the sweetest woman named Fran greeted me and knew who i was immediately (initial visit as well). Shows that are on top of their appointments and aware of the patients walking into their office. The office is so comfortable, clean, and the atmosphere feels cozy.

When i was brought into the consult room, Keisha asked me all the appropriate questions that were vital to my visit. She was super nice and once again made me feel comfortable.

Dr. Ekstein is literally the nicest doctor I have ever encountered in my life. I am terrified of the dentist but he was so friendly and funny! When I explained my fears and everything, he literally said "I get it, you were traumatized." When he did a quick evaluation he explained every single thing in detail what had to be done and how. Once we were complete, I went back to the front desk where I was scheduled another appointment to follow up with more details and insurance information which was already started by the other nice woman (I do not know her name, sorry).

If you are looking for a new dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Ekstein!!!! I am truly happy with my initial visit.

It was my first time at the office and first impressions mean a lot to me. The office staff is very friendly and welcoming. They make you feel at home. They take their time and they explain everything thoroughly.

I have had Medicaid for about a year and every time I got dentist work done through my insurance my teeth still never fully felt clean. I tried multiple places and the offices were always over crowded and inattentive. The appointments were rushed UNTIL i decided to contact Smile Design Specialist. I went to them when I had private insurance and they were always so attentive-

they thoroughly explained every single thing as well as took their time to clean my teeth and give me a full exam- I waited little to no time for my appointment and they didn’t rush through!!!! It wasn’t a quick 10 minute cleanup and off to the next patient like the dentist I was seeing through Medicaid.
Smile Design does not accept Medicaid so I paid out of pocket utilizing the special offers they give to Self-Pay patients and it was WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY. I will continue to pay out of pocket just because the type of service provided was unmatched- some things you really get what you pay for. I highly recommend this office. Great experience. Jessie the hygienists is the best. She took her time explained everything in detail listened to my concerns. Truly a professional. I can honestly say the best cleaning I had my entire life.
Everyone in the office is welcoming and pleasant. Very clean, new equipment. The services and friendliness of the staff is superb. Ad someone who suffers from extreme anxiety from dentist. I'm actually looking forward to my next visit.

I went to this office as an emergency after not having gone to the dentist since 2017, and I genuinely will not go anywhere else. Every human being in the office was friendly and warm right off the opening of the door. The office environment was relaxing and positive. Simply observing the staff working together, and being pleasant and kind to one another was refreshing. I had a wonderful first impression from everyone in the office, including the doctor who examined me yesterday. Today, I had my first root canal with their endodontist and they truly could not have made it an easier experience. Both the doctor and the dental assistant were so kind, supportive, and down to earth. They really did a phenomenal job of being attentive to me and my comfortability while also letting me know exactly what they were doing along the way. They worked very well together, educated me about the procedures they were performing, and even in the way they communicated with one another, I was able to understand that these are two genuinely good human beings and they enjoy their field of work a lot as well as being good to their patients. It's one thing to be a knowledgeable and skilled doctor, but to be a good person on top of that, is everything a patient needs. Health care in general, whether it be medical or dental, is always expensive, that's the world we live in. But at this office, they had options for me. They laid everything out and made sure that I was aware of every detail. I medical code and bill for a living, and I have the background knowledge of how prices are assigned. Given that, I believe their prices were fair and the options for payment plan, etc., were given clearly and without any pressure. I don't leave reviews often, unless a practice or business has truly made an impression on me. I'm so happy that I found this office, they made this experience immensely easier and I will now continue to get all of my dental concerns resolved with their help. So, thank you to every single person that I met and spoke to at Smile Design Specialist. It's places like this, and people like this, who truly make a difference.

This Dentistry is really one you should consider. The dental hygienist named Jesse went above and beyond to cater to all of my questions. She gave me numerous options that included everything from normal upkeep of my teeth all the way to inquiries about Invisalign and the entire process. She took her time when completing my x-rays, cleaning, and my enamel density test.

The front desk staff was also polite and very helpful. They greeted me when I arrived and also sent me a link where I could complete my initial paperwork before arriving for my appointment, which was extremely convenient and a time saver.

Overall I can honestly say that this has been the best dentist that I have ever visited. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a new dentist or just in the market to replace a current one that they are not happy with, trust me you will not regret it.

I went to another dentist in North Arlington, I had a bed infection, so he pulled the tooth, He had a hard time because he said the roots were long. Mind you he never gave me antibiotics. I go home the whole side of my face all the way up to my eye is so swollen, I call the original dentist who did it NO answer, he finally calls me back 2 days later, I had antibiotics I’m my home so o started using them, it brought the infection down. The dentist tells me to come in, I go in it’s still swollen, he says it’s fine meanwhile the stitch he put in wasn’t attached to anything it was just laying there, which he left. I explained I took my antibiotics at home, he says I didn’t give you any!!!!’ No you didn’t he says continue with what your taking, wait you don’t even know what I am taking. I leave my mouth swells back up I call NO answer, so I call Smile Design Thank Goodness I did, a girl answers the phone It’s Ivonne from my old dentist office, I now know it’s going to be ok, she gets me in right away THANK YOU Ivonne!!!! The Dentist was AMAZING!!!!!! With everything I have gone threw, I NEVER thought I would trust a dentist again, this dentist restored my faith. He had to reopen pack it restitch it and give me a stronger antibiotic, The whole time, he was so caring gentle and compassionate, as was Ivonne, who knew already I was scared of the dentist. I am writing this review, because if your not a fan of the dentist lol like me, YOU WILL BE after going here. If I could give them more stars and put into words HOW AMAZING this dentist office is, YOU WOULD NEVER go anywhere else. We own City Tropics Tanning Salon. I am saying this because if your still nervous after this, you can call me, This Dentist Office is AMAZING COMPASSIONATE CARING AND PATIENT. My son and I have been coming to Dr. Ekstein for 6-7 years and it’s been a great experience. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. Liz is my favorite because my son has learned how to take care of his dental hygiene mostly from her persistence and patience. They are tech savvy and the office has nice aesthetics. You will feel comfortable. Even in terms of billing, the staff is friendly and courteous. They are attentive to their patients. I highly recommend.

I had some work done today and met Dr. Ekstein's assistant today. She was very personable and absolutely wonderful. She explained everything before it was done to increase my comfort level. I have never felt more at ease at a dentist's office as I have today. Her added distraction while I was getting my numbing shot was unexpected and very effective. Wow!

Jessie is a great hygienist. My teeth feel great after she cleans them. Dr E is a great dentist. Always pleasant. Never hurts me during any procedures. The staff is on point and super friendly.

Dr E is awesome. I had my 8 year old daughter there today for her first cavity filled. She was super scared but he was extremely patient and nice and did his best to make her comfortable to get the work done. All the staff there are great.

The best! Staff was very professional and kind and loving they were very attentive to my needs. The doctor was awesome and knowledgeable and very concern about my teeth . It was my first time and definitely the doctor and staff will see me again. Staff and doctor if you read this bless your hearts for even risking your lives to care of ours . Plus, today I had the best teeth hygienist, Francis, who impressed me with her thoroughness and how well I felt after.

Very friendly staff and Dr. Ekstein is very knowledgeable. He doesn't force you to do unnecessary procedures and does only essential work on your teeth. My teeth cleaner was Melinda. And for all the time I've been here she has thoroughly done her job in cleaning and x-rays. Overall she ensures you have a comfortable and great experience. I am so glad I came across this place and definitely recommend it.

With a warm welcome I also met the manager who is super nice and courteous. My son and I have been going to Dr. Richard Ekstein for 8 years. Their hygienist are amazing and they do great work. Everyone in the office is super friendly. This office really cares for your teeth and does great preventative care. I keep going to this dentist because it feels like family. Everyone remembers who you are and will always welcome you with a smile. Their pens and chapsticks are the best too haha :). I recently had the opportunity to change my health insurance to a lesser costing plan but I saw that my doctor wasn’t in network so I did not change, that’s how much I like it there. Also shout out to Jesse for taking care of my son and I!

I highly recommend Dr.E and his staff. Everyone is very knowledgable and caring. I am a very particular patient and i will never go anywhere else because at the Smile Design Specialists i feel at ease and i trust Dr. E's work. Kiesha, his dental assistant is always available to answer questions with a smile and does not make you feel bad about yourself and your dental situation. Her and Dr. E work well together and are very precise and focused on the task at hand. I have been a patient of Dr.E for over 10 years and he is the man !!! 😁😬 don't waste another minute reading other reviews and make your appointment with them. You will not regret it.
