Cafe 37

I had a wonderful experience at Cafe 37. The waitstaff were sooo accommodating and friendly. The food was exceptional. I had a series of different dishes (it was my birthday and was starving). Everything was perfect! It’s BYOB so don’t forget to bring your favorite wine / champagne / beer. The parking isn’t too bad for ridgewood, I parked down by the church. I would not recommend it for children. It is great for a date night or special occasion.

The risotto was off the charts and so was this braised ribs. I didn’t love the beef ravioli but it wasn’t as good as the two other dishes I listed. Great service and relaxed environment. This place is worth a trip.

Cafe 37 is a New American restaurant with a Spanish Flair. The restaurant is small inside, but they have a larger outside dining area. The owner is the chef, and those are usually the best restaurants to dine at. All the ingredients the chef uses are top notch. Portions are nice sizes too besides the desserts being rather small. Stand out and must try dishes are the goat cheese raviolis, truffle risotto, and the halibut over saffron rice. All those dishes were AMAZING! You must try them! Halibut is a hard fish to prepare, and when a chef can cook an outstanding halibut you know it’s a 5 star restaurant! Other dishes I tried was the crab cake which was excellent! The filet mignon with shrimp was very good! The chicken dish was good! Only one entree I didn’t care for or wouldn’t recommend ordering is the Cafe 37 Frutti di Mare. The pasta wasn’t fresh made and kinda mushy and flavor wise it just was ok. I’d take it off the menu and replace it with something else. It didn’t have the WOW factor as all the other dishes on the menu had. All the desserts are house made and my favorite is the bread pudding! It’s fantastic! That’s another dish that’s hard to get right, but the chef here made it to perfection! The only complaint is it’s much too small. Its should be served twice the current serving size. The other dessert I tried were the coconut profiteroles. I didn’t care much for it, and I wouldn’t order it again. I really enjoyed almost everything here, and I am very impressed with the food! The chef/owner is warm and welcoming too! I highly recommend dining at Cafe 37 in Ridgewood!

I had a fabulous dinner the other night. A prefect date night restaurant. Excellent talent.

The service was excellent and food was delicious. This restaurant is BYOB so keep that in mind when coming in. Parking is easily accessible on the street. And reservation through Google was quick and painless.

I always was fun of New American cuisine, especially when chefs are inventive and attentive to details. Here is exactly the case. Interesting menue, swift service and great dishes. Pricy, but overall experience is worth of money spent.

A fine dining restaurant in Ridgewood, serving delicious food with impeccable presentation and taste.

We made our reservation ahead for Sunday dinner. When we arrived, we got seated right away. The restaurant wasn’t busy, as only 3 other tables were occupied.

Due to Covid their menu is online. It’s a concise list with limited items in appetizers, entrees and desserts.

We decided to try the Octopus appetizer, Bronzini and Seafood dishes for entree. The prep time was excellent , as we didn’t have to wait long at all to get our food. We were very impressed with delicate presentation of each dish. All items including vegetables were cooked to perfection.

This is an excellent spot for occasions like couples dinner, or milestones celebration.

Ambiance and decor are nothing special, but food and service are excellent. Prix fixe menu is a great deal with four courses. Highly recommended.

Enjoy fine American dining right off Main Street in Ridgewood - nice outdoor patio setup - great selection of fish, meats and appetizers….bring your bottle (with a convenient liquor store located across the street) - Very friendly staff!

I write with a satisfied stomach. Excellent service, i requested for filet mignon medium and it came perfect with a nice side of mash potatoes and some vegies and a fried tappioca. They also served me amush bush. Be ready to shell MONEY there it aint cheap but it is worth it. They also serve table d' hote' i belive. They do not serve alcohol you need to bring your own. And yes the chocolate cake with mascaporne cheese looks and taste really good.

Excellent pork chops. Update 2022: went again and the quality is exactly the same, highly recommend! Update 2024: now having gone here for a handful of years, I can firmly say that I believe this is the best restaurant in Ridgewood. The quality of every meal is absolutely incredible and the service is 5 stars every time. Highly recommend to everyone!

Our meals were outstanding! Everything was so fresh and delicious, and the attention to detail is superb. We enjoyed the crab cake special, the lobster roll, and the salmon entree. All were exceptional, with the freshest ingredients and wonderful sauces. The accompanying sides were not afterthoughts; they were impressive as well. The zucchini was perfectly cooked, the Asian slaw and potato tart were phenomenal. The service was also great, making you feel welcome. Can't say enough good things!

Incredible. My family has eaten here twice and we will most certainly return. The staff and chef are incredibly attentive and warm, the atmosphere has a relaxed elegance, and the food presentation is a true work of art. The food is unique and delicious, and has a South American flair. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

We had our office dinner at Cafe 37 last night, and I can’t say enough great things about it! The staff was incredible... very attentive, personable and very professional. The prix fixe menu had so many great options to choose from and each dish was presented beautifully. And the food was so delicious and fresh! We will definitely be back!
