Il Dolce

Stopped in on my walk back from another establishment just because I could smell that fresh Italian pastry smell (almond?) from the sidewalk. It smelled soooooooo good. So happy I stopped in here because I bought the best cannoli pastry I've ever had, ever. Both the pastry and cream were so fresh. The cannoli cream was legit, thick cannoli cream like I remember from the old school Italian bakeries back in the day. I can't wait to come back here and try literally everything else.

I just recently moved into Hawthorne a few months ago and I was dying to find a Bakery that just made pastries and cookies along with more great stuff and when I found ll Dolce I fell in love lol. By far the best Bakery out there. Staff is super friendly and the owner is very nice as I got to meet him last night when I went in to pick up these amazing goodies. I absolutely love everything in there but these remind me of my good old days from when I was younger. I definitely and highly recommend ll Dolce if your ever in Hawthorne or just passing through I promise you won't regret it 😉

IL DOLCE is Always my Go-To for desserts, pastries and cookies. I just picked up a carrot cake by request, along with a box full of assorted pastries and cookies. Everything is fresh & tasty as always & the service is always great & kind.

Today Feb 6th, 2024 I am livid to these jerky people who gave IL Dolce 1 star - shame on you! The best small family owned business who gives all of their heart into their cakes, breads and pastries. Fools who do not know what great pastries, cakes & breads should taste like should go somewhere else.

Absolutely the best! We bought quite a large assortment of pastries and cookies a few weeks ago since we don’t live in the area. We froze some and they were just as good. We used to go to Arthur Avenue in The Bronx for pastries but no more.

I went in early this morning to pick up a Strawberry Short Cake for a friend, some Lobster Claws and an array of Italian pastries. Walking in, I appreciated that it was a classic little Italian Bakery and there were so many ready to go options for cakes, cookies and pastries. Everything was absolutely delicious and I'll definitely be coming back! Such a great gem!

Such a lovely place! Fresh and delicious and they are even so friendly to hold the door open for me and my double stroller. My son and I enjoyed a small treat and juice for the first time since last year and my daughter just snoozed away in her car seat. What a lovely treat for us ❤

My friend went yesterday to surprise me with a birthday cake. It was a very nice surprise. The cannoli cake was absolutely amazing!!! Definitely will be going back for Christmas desserts. ❤🎂❤🎂

We ordered our wedding cake from here and the entire experice was amazing. Placing the order was as easy as could be, everyone there is super helpful. We were so happy with the results, the cake turned out beautiful! Everyone complimented us on it. And it was delicious, exactly how we hoped it would be.

Everything I've ever had from this bakery has been fantastic! Recently had a sheet cake made for an event and it was so fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful too.

I will definitely go back very clean and a wide variety of pastries. They had something call rice ball with meat stuffed inside it was suprising good. Don't have a photo we ate them up so fast.

Little Italian bakery in Hawthorne I went for the rice balls they are amazing. There Pastries are delicious you will not be disappointed they have Birthday cakes to order .

Always have had wonderful cakes! There was a great bakery called rispolis in Ridgefield park off rt. 5 who was similar have not had their pasteries in a long time but this is close to home and fantastic! Ciao! Great Italian pasteries! Sponadells lobster tails cannollis and all kinds of excellent cakes! A dream come true!

This is an excellent Italian bakery, they carry all the usual suspects. High quality Italian pastries and cookies, sausage bread, semolina bread etc...can't go wrong here.
