So happy they built this welcome center. It is spotless inside, super beautiful with a representative cherry blossom tree inside and photos throughout the park. People are really missing out if they don’t know about this park. It is magical. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. 🌸♥

Last year we went there to experience the Cherry Blossom for the first time. Its a great experiences I have ever had. Lots of beautiful flowers floating like the cotton cloud. I recommend this place for everyone to visit its seasonal time at least onec. Its a must visit site for NJ people.

Good bye North Newark old Cherry Blossom Center. (Ahem* Members Only?!?) And welcome to the new and modern version of the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center! It's still a one way entrance and exit. The parking is now for three hours only. There's an electrical charging station for vehicles. (Only one and there might be a fee.) Bring you're water bottle because there's an Elkay bottle filling station and drinking fountain in the rear side of the building next to the bocce courts. There's a side entrance for the bathroom on the side of the building. There will be a Children's Garden Center too! The playground is still there and accessible near the garden area. The old baseball fields (known as the Four Diamonds) are still being constructed. This was well to do! Come April 2024 this will be the place to be. Watch out for that traffic!

So fantastic! We were able to enjoy the blooming trees over the weekend of April 7th. The trees are various ages, some with beautiful character and shape! What a treat if you're here during the blooming season!

They're rebuilding the welcome center but there was plenty of parking, as well as street parking. The park is still accessible and worth the visit!

The event center at Cherry Blossom Welcoming center is a must go to place for any event located close to the Essex County . Located in Branch Brook Park .
I, unfortunately had to cater my cousins re-pass there and I had no idea what kind of place I was walking into.
The place was BEAUTIFUL and spacious. A place that would be perfect for small weddings, proms, high end birthday party, reunions ect.
The kitchen, is well appointed with every thing you would need in a kitchen except for a working stove/oven. The serving area has a 5 well heated serving area with a small counter space.
There is a small playground located right outside the front door. Plenty of parking.
Best of all, the staff that works there was courteous, very helpful, and professional.
I 100 % recommend this event place.

This park it's on its best moment. Beautifully pink, bloom and busy with visitors from everywhere. The park has a playground, parking lot or parking in the street. baseball field and public bathroom (for the season).
The best date to see the blossom tree blooming it's between April 4 to 14.

One of the best place to see cherry blossom and spring festival in New Jersey Bergen County.

Best time of visit would be first 2 week of April for peak blossom. Keep following Branch Brook Park’s instagram page for more daily updates and keep best time to visit.

This is a great area to walk around, and if you can ACTUALLY manage to make it here during the peak of Cherry Blossom season, you'll be impressed with the sights. It's worth making the trip! And even if it's not time for the pinkest blossoms, and they've fallen like a pink blizzard to the ground, it's still a lovely walk on a spring day. It was nice not to have to pay for parking, too.

Absolutely stunning in Spring. The most collection of Cherry Blossoms any where in the United States. Looping miles of scenic gardens & fountains, stone bridges and Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart. It is a stunning gem in Newark & all the country

While on vacation in Jersey, I passed by and saw this new building that the city was having a grand opening ceremony. It is a beautiful building, I have lots of good memories here, running in the field, and playing baseball as a kid back in the 70s. This new building is a good thing for Newark.
Loved it.

Great spot. They have an up to date website that has information about all events as well as live camera to monitor the cherry blossom. Ample parking is available.

Great park to walk and enjoy the cherry blossom. I recommend going in the month of April. If you go in May you might miss the cherry blossom. I went 4/10/22 and the trees were at their peak. Downfall is the traffic in that area, but if you go with enough time and take your time, you will be fine.

The best part of growing up in Belleville was Branch Brook Park & it's annual Cherry Blossom Festival. With events from its 10k run, bike tour, cell phone tour & Japanese cultured demonstrations, the park displays a variety of over 5,000 cherry blossoms-- making it the #1 in the U.S. Truly, it's a great place to go alone for peace or being your family for a fun day of adventure!

The park was amazing the trees and the colors are a delight to the eyes! Our grandchildren enjoyed this day as we also come from out of town! You must see it.

You can park here if you're driving. Stop in and pick up a map, super clean bathrooms and take a walk through the cherry blossom path. Carefully cross the street to the canal and stroll. This is my favorite part of the Park.

Place is very colorful and a great place to take a jog.. for such a large park this place is extremely clean, the roads are well maintained as well and it's a great place to see a baseball game or even let your kids play with the others

The park was absolutely beautiful and well maintained (from a nature stand point) we did not go near any of the actual equipment to judge those but the grass was trimmed and over all landscaping was great.

Beautiful place to take a walk. If you plan on doing anything else other than that, bring a ball, a kite, a dog, a drone, a grill or any combination thereof.

I love this space. Great for a walk at your own pace. There is a flat walking area as well as a steep hill for more challenge. The annual Cherry Blossom Festival is a beautiful event, but all round the park is really a testament to an urban oasis on par with Prospect Park in Brooklyn.
