Cafe do Vava

The food here was fantastic! The cheesy spinach bread was soft, had a lot of cheese, and warm. In fact, everything was served nice and hot – I got the simple decaf cappuccino and it was cinnamony and lightly sweet and just amazing. The yucca soup was super creamy and comforting, and they had their classic soft white bread on the side for dipping. I really liked the cute decor on the inside, the whole place was basically a little brick house converted into a cafe. The service was super friendly, and I love that it was a local family owned business. I 100% want to come back here to try more of their breads, pastries, and non-pork options!

Excellent little Brazilian cafe in the middle of Columbus - always delicious soups (served with generous slices of fresh bread.) The potato and kale is my favorite, but you can't go wrong with any of their soups and a coxinha!

Extremely delicious chicken stroganoff. Highly suggest this place. It accepts Apple Pay. The front lady staff was very personable and helpful.

Friendly staff and quaint little restaurant in Columbus OH. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Everything was fresh and delicious. My only issue was that they were sold out of a few items, but to their credit it was past regular lunch time hours.

Love their mango juice with milk and pastries! I'm not a coffee person but it always smells amazing. Can't wait to try more of their food

Good atmosphere, nice employees (who give good suggestions), and delicious food and coffee. There is also a play room in the back for youngsters. I will be going there again!

The feijoada is so good!! You must try the coxinha, pão de queijo and empadas as well! Don’t forget to get a classic Brazilian coffee.

Good homemade Brazilian food and drinks that gives Columbus some much needed variety. I recommend everyone goes and checks it out themselves. I am sure everyone can find something they like on the menu. One favorite is the fiejoada which they usually have on Saturdays, which is what i have included a picture of.

DELICIOUS coffee and lunch option!! I was a bit skeptical being a “foodie” however I quickly realised I found a gem. We had lunch, coffee and dessert. The everything from the cozy atmosphere to the food was perfect. You can even purchase frozen goodies to go which we did. Looking forward to coming back!!

I highly recommend it. Columbus' best Brazilian coffee. The "French Bread" and "Coxinha" are delicious. Try It!!

I am Brazilian and can be very picky about Brazilian food. Casa do Vavá is authentic, absolutely delicious, and fresh. You cannot go wrong with anything you pick. Best Brazilian food in the Midwest!

Love it! Excellent place to eat. Great food, everyone there is very friendly. I love the atmosphere, peaceful. A good place to have a nice coffee and relax.

My favorite place to go! The place is very clean and taking sanitizing and other social distancing measures so seriously that I feel safe bringing my young children to eat in. I have tried a lot of Brazilian food but nothing comes close to what Café do Vavá has to offer. Their case is filled with coxinha, cheese breads, and a variety of other Brazilian specialties. They have the most delicious Nutella cappuccino and not to mention passion fruit juice (which is very hard to find). Café do Vavá also offers a variety of other items to help satisfy any Brazilian's "saudade" of home, which can be hard to find, including picanha, linguiça (sausage), and other specialties. My family has made this place a weekly visit, even though we live an hour away, and will continue in the future. Ótimo!!!

very close to the people trail--, can get a nice coffee or snack Brazilian specialties too. Just very cute and nice. (fyi the "espresso" is from an automatic machine).

Very nice cafe with pleasant staff and great tasting food. I had two pastries which were very tasty. I also had the mango juice and a cappuccino which were to die for. Highly recommend this place! The quality and flavor are much much better than in chain.

The owners are so friendly and accommodating. This place is so cute and comfy. It's family owned which I love. It was very clean and pretty inside. Prices are average and they have traditional Brazilian food which is awesome. Highly recommend, I will definitely be back!

Cute place with typical Brazilians coffee house treats. Sweet options include cakes, brigadeiros (Brazilian fudge) and muffins and you can get a variety of Brazilian savory bites such as cheese bread, coxinha (chicken wrapped in dough and fried) and grilled cheese.
Service was great and I felt like I was visiting with old friends. Highly recommend!
