I suggest anyone using this company be extremely vigilant and ask questions. I was selling a property and I noticed there was a road block. She was having trouble pushing the title through. I asked multiple times what I could do to help. It turns out that she had found some liens pending against my property. She never bothered to let me know about the liens or even ask if they could possibly be a mistake. She did however call all of the lien holders and set up payoffs without talking to me. She then presented me the final document to sign . I finally asked her exactly why she decided to keep me in the dark regarding the liens . She simply said she was trying to rush so we could beat a sheriffs sale. She was going to let me sign the payoff document without ever mentioning the word lien. My walk away payment would have been 13,000 dollars negative. I provided her with everything needed right from circuit court to prove an old judgment against my dad had been cleared by the court and provided her with a letter directly from the man releasing the claim. Then they informed me I needed to buy a 35 dollar piece of paper specially drafted by the lawyer and track this guy down and get another signature to get rid of the Lien for good. The final agreement they intended me to sign included this 5,000 dollar judgement I cleared years ago while closing my fathers estate. I’m not sure what she stood to gain here but I really felt like she was purposely working against me. I suggest anyone looking for a title company simply enquire if said company intends to work with you and keep you informed. I suggest using any of the other title companies in Columbus. Simply ask them if they would inform you if a lien surfaced. To finish the day off on a nice note she called me looking for my mom “because she found a will that listed her as Heir to my fathers estate. “ they had been divorced for 12 years when my dad passed and this will was from before I was born. She signed all the required paperwork to relinquish any ties to the estate during the estate closing.
