This is a must do field trip for any school aged group. If budget allows, do the full day experience to get a real feel for what school and life was like in the late 1800s in Hendricks County. From a historical standpoint this was interesting to the adults and older students in attendance on a different level. They work by reservation only. The Schoolhouse is not open to the public to wander in.

We went for a field trip and had a great experience. The lessons and activities were wonderful. The kids really enjoyed the days events.

My son visited with his 3rd grade class. He was especially intrigued by the out house and thought it very funny when one kid was called a dunce, put on the dunce hat and sat in the corner.
