Hummel Park

We were just passing through on the way between St Louis and Indy and wanted to let the kids out to stretch and play. Found this on maps. It isn't super close to the highway (6 minute diversion each way), but it was worth it. Amazing playground for very littles separate from bigger kids. Big kid playground was challenging and fun with strength/agility components and huge slides. Plenty of swings. Accessible to wheels (strollers or wheelchairs). There was a great splash pad that we didn't get to play in. There were bathrooms, which was also appreciated.

Nice park but has different entrances- Google Maps will take you to the east side entrance but there is also a west side entrance with large open spaces. It’s quite clean and cool!

Busy but a super fun playground with lots of slides and stuff.

This seems like a great park for many different activities. Time with the kids to family get-togethers. Everyone seems very friendly. Kids had a great time and were exhausted at the end of the day. Not a far walk by mostly trails from Plainfield Aquatic center.

I absolutely love this park! It is over a large piece of land to where you can spread all over with so many options as far as playgrounds and trails. It's an excellent idea to have a splash pad as well as multiple playgrounds. There is a great bathroom and plenty of shade in the park. The church is very well maintained and it's absolutely beautiful.

It has a huge parking lot, no entrance fee is required.

Nicely organized picnic area. Has a few grills for a barbecue. Also a maintained restroom.

This time of the year for holidays park was decorated with a magic lights, truly fantastic!

Also park has a playground for a kids. A very decent one. So here is my recommendation!

My wife and I went for a walk here on an incredibly chilling winter afternoon. She has been there for walk several times but this was my first time. There are several playgrounds and walking paths all of which are very pretty. The bathroom was very clean and well-maintained. Plenty of benches along the walking paths to just sit and enjoy the nature.

I did not know that this humble neighborhood park hid a little gem with its massive amounts of trails.

This park was Amazing! So many different things to do. Swimming in the creek, beautiful trails with wild flowers. There’s multiple different parks within the park. Me and my family had a blast and will definitely return.

We love Hummel Park ! Beautiful walking areas, play areas for the big kids and the littles! A splash pad in the summer which is always a super popular area! Shelter zones with lots of picnic tables , and indoor restroom facilities that don't make you want to throw up! Our favorite is the Natural Playground area where the kiddos can just climb and explore boundaries! We adore the scenery, the overly friendly squirrels and the experience is worth it! Lots of room to explore and do something different each time you visit!

Very nice park with extensive walk/bike trails. It was an excellent place to watch the eclipse.

Stopped in while visiting the area... wish we had a park this great at home. Obvious that the community puts effort and money into keeping it beautiful. Great ball fields, clean public restrooms, a playground with lots of shade, a new playground coming soon, a splash pad, a gazebo, tons of picnic tables and benches, etc.

Wonderful place to take the kids. The park well maintained and the people we’ve met are great.

Nice place for families with little kids
Play area floor is a soft rubber material so doesn’t hurt even if you fall. I like it better than the mulch piles. Swings and slides are good along with nice play structure. There’s a separate slides structure for kids 2-5 years
You can find enough benches for parents to sit and watch kids. The gazebos make it a good place for picnic in the summer too!

My kids love this park, so many playground options and lots of space to walk around. You can spend hours here and explore the amphitheater side, too

Wonderful park to go to. Plenty of space and picnic tables in the shade. Splashpad area is a good time for kids in the heat. Lots of fun in the sun.
