Holiday Inn Express Portland East - Troutdale, an IHG Hotel

Kaitlyn and Terry were amazing. My husband had class at the community College for a few days. I have auto immune issues and they made sure our room was done early so I didn't have to drive around all day. It was great conversating with them everyday that we were there. Thank you ladies for making our stay amazing. We will definitely be back!

One of the best pet friendly hotels I've been to.

The staff here - very friendly and helpful. They always smile when helping guests. I feel welcomed and reassured that my stay is going to be pleasant.

The hot tub and pool are open, kept clean, and at usable temperatures. I haven't used the gym but it looks immaculately clean.

The breakfast is tops as is the breakfast attendant. There is a lot to choose from and they don't run out - even 5 min before breakfast ends.

The room attendants do a superb job of cleaning the rooms and keeping the hotel nice.

I don't have anything negative to say about this place. It's one of my favorite places to stay.

We had a great one night stay at this hotel (the night of Saturday, August 7)! The staff- at the front desk and at breakfast- were very friendly and attentive.

We stayed in a double queen room with a twin sofa bed. The sofa bed was an added bonus for my son so he didn’t have to sleep in the same bed as his sister! 😁

The room was exceptionally clean! My husband stays in hotels often for his job so now, each time we go into a new hotel room, we pull all the sheets back off the bed to make sure there’s no bedbugs. Our beds in this room were the cleanest he’s seen in a LONG time!

Breakfast was good and had enough options for all of us to fill our bellies. 😊 My kids really enjoyed the pool also. It was kind-of cold but they still enjoyed it.

I can not speak highly enough for this hotel! Elle the front desk attendant was FANTASTIC! She went out of her way to help everyone I saw her interact with including myself. I came in very frazzled and she helped me out alot. The room was great the pillows were nice as was the bed. The towels were plush and the water was wonderfully hot. I chose this hotel in part because of the hot tub. The hot tub was in perfect shape and very clean. The breakfast was the biggest spread I've seen in any of my stays across many many hotels. The breakfast attendant was very attentive and refilled everything quickly. One of the best if not the best hotel I've stayed it that covered all bases. Awesome!

Hotel is a bit dated, but well maintained.

Only issue was the shower. While they had the standard HIE shower head, it either wasn't working properly or there wasn't enough water pressure for it. Not a problem--just a slight disappointment.

We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was great. Very comfy bed, a selection of pillows that were labeled (soft, firm, etc). Our room had a mini kitchen in it, which was nice. The area around the hotel is nice with quite a few different restaurants within walking distance. The is also an outlet mall very nearby as well. I liked this hotel. I hope to stay in it again.

Pancake machine makes tasty pancakes. Quiet location. Comfy and spacious room. Brand new big shower. The staff is very friendly and efficient.

I just wanted to let you know that Georgie went above and beyond to help my daughter and I out when we checked in. We called hotel after hotel and no other hotel that we called would allow us to check in at 4am, but your hotel did. My daughter had a severe allergic (anaphylactic) reaction my my sibling's dog, which sent her to the Emergency Room in the middle of the night and we could not go back to my sibling's house after the hospital treated my daughter for her allergic reaction. We are from out of town and did not know what we would do until we spoke with Georgie. She and your hotel literally saved us. We are so very grateful for everything your employees did for us. Every person we came across in our stay was extremely helpful and kind. I can't truly express in words how grateful we are for Georgie and the rest of your staff.

I reserved my hotel nights beforehand and I am from Washington State. The first thing I saw when I arrived was a well-lit hotel that was welcoming. When I walked into the main area, the staff at the front desk welcomed me. They were very patient and enthusiastic about what they were doing. My room was super clean and had a somewhat great view. They accommodated my requests with perfection and I would definitely come here again. :)

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Troutdale was wonderful. It's a great location for those looking to visit popular hiking spots in the area!

The room was, mediocre, nothing extravagant. You can see they put a little effort into updating the unit; the 5-star rating is actually for the wonderful experience with the front desk receptionist (Elle). She was so sweet and pleasure to work with - she deserves a raise for her stellar customer service!

Monaj was the the absolute best! She was super accommodating with a group of 30 cross country high schoolers….

This is a place I would return business!!!!

The queen bed room had a pull out sofa a island style kitchenette with fridge microwave coffee maker and sink. The indoor pool was nice and breakfast selection was delicious.

One of my favorite hotels on the west coast. The staff was awesome. Quiet rooms. Great for us truckers. A little high but hey it's worth the money. Breakfast was delicious. Especially the cinnamon rolls

Room was clean and breakfast was good! Carlos at the front desk was wonderful. I would visit again just to chat with him.

Over the past 9 months or so I have been here about 3 of them. The best thing I can say is how consistently good my experience always is. The rooms are always clean the staff is always polite and helpful. The only "bad" thing I can say about it is the location. Expressway and airport out front railroad tracks in the back and truck stops on either side. Even so I would highly recommend it.

Great hotel! As a plus, they included a phone in my bathroom. And who doesn't like to use their phone while going to the bathroom? But this one in our hotel room was completely lacking in features. It only had 12 buttons and no touch-screen. No Facebook. No Angry Birds. The buttons only make an annoying tone and an angry man yelling at me in a language I don't understand. I stuck with my iPhone instead. Also, has a nice breakfast and friendly staff. I would stay again.

Good stop. Hotel was clean. Elle at the front desk was FANTASTIC!!! Elle went above and beyond to make sure that our check was easy after a long day. Great customer service! I would stay again because of her hospitality.
