Locally owned shop with excellent customer service by people who love cycling. They offer great products and amazing service after the sale. Steve gave me excellent service. He made sure that I bought the proper size bike with upgraded brakes. The upgraded bike was on sale for the same price as the basic bike I was looking to purchase.

My bike was in rough shape after 20 years of neglect. The brakes were iffy and it didn’t shift gears very well. They noticed some other issues that I was not aware of. I’m a die hard DIY guy but some things are best left to professionals.

This is a great bike shop. I have gotten grade A, excellent, service every time I have been there. They are knowledgeable, professional, accommodating, and helpful. If you're looking for a "home bike shop", this is the one.

My experience with this shop has been very positive. I have an old Trek bike that had been sitting idle for about 10 years. These guys gave it a nice tune-up and replaced my tires and tubes. The bike is good as new again. Very upfront and straightforward with pricing for service work. It took a while since these guys are extremely busy, but I still got my bike back sooner than their estimated completion time.

These folks are great! Not 2 miles into a 60 plus mile ride bam a flat tire... called ahead and was able to walk a couple miles walk in and have me bike serviced right away. Thank you for making the rest of my trip possible and giving tips on the importance of proper inflation of tires! Hope to have a tune up done soon. Thank you for your assistance 😊

These guys are the best! Just bought a “new to me” bike that I was very excited about. I stopped in to see if they could check it out, and they didn’t hesitate to go above and beyond to make sure the bike was not only safe, but also adjusted to how I would need it. Great customer service. I haven’t had a bike in over 20 years and I went to Gear Up Cyclery to find a bike. I was greeted by one of the workers, Jeff as soon as I walked in the store. I explained to him that I was a casual rider and he proceeded to tell me about one of the few bikes, Specialized, that they had in the stock. He made all the the adjustments so the bike fit my size. I took the bike on a test ride, it’s a smooth ride. He showed me how to change gears and how to take the front tire off and put it back on. Jeff helped me pick out a water bottle holder, a bell, and even a helmet. He even installed the the water bottle holder and the bell on my new bike. Not only that he put the bike in my car. He was so patient and professional. Thanks Gear Up.

Went in to get a bike innertube replaced. They fixed the tire while we waited and adjusted a brake. Was done quickly and at a good price. Employees were very nice as well. Highly recommend.

Went to buy our 4 yo son his first bike, he picked out a green 20” Specialized that they had to order. They had it in house and set up in 2 days. Love supporting local businesses and I will not hesitate to purchase from these guys again. If my son is happy than I’m happy. Thanks Gear Up.

A real hidden gem of Plainfield!! They are one of the most helpful and honest bike shop in Indy. I can’t count the times that I have brought my bikes for small adjustments and fixing and they have delivered!! If you are in need of anything bike related please give them a chance and you’ll be a regular as well!

What a pleasant experience as we bought a helmet for my son and a bike for me to ride. The gentleman took his time with both of us and answered all of our questions. The whole staff was very courteous and patient. Definitely recommend this place!

These guys are very friendly, polite, and willing to work with you. Don't be intimidated if you're a new biker. They are more than willing to help you out. They set up my first bike for me and trued my wheels. Another time they recommended a tire liner when I got a puncture and installed it for me. And then lastly, when my wheels were too large for my frame, I wanted to buy new ones. But Gear Up was looking out for me, and they said "oh, it's just your tires that are too large." They could have just left this information out and sold me two new wheels, but they educated me, hooked me up with a product that fit my needs (smaller tires), and because of that my next wheelset will be through Gear Up. They have definitely gained a regular.
