I'm just here to say that Kristin is top notch. I think we had somewhere around 25 visits in a 3.5 months. I needed to see her after a several fractures (shoulder/ribs/tibia) to include a lvl 5 TPF which required a fair amount of internal hardware. My OS was Dr. Laboe if that helps anyone as well.
The St. Francis Physical Therapy Outpatient is very nice, clean and ran well. Kristin did an awesome job with me and I recommend her to anyone that suffered a TPF. I'm 90% back to myself after the treatment she provided and advice she gave about exercises that target and help get past these injuries.

I have been receiving treatment for post concussion & a torn rotator cuff. Brad is my physical therapist and I have been working with him for a few months now. In the beginning, I honestly thought PT would be a waste of time. However, here I am almost 4 months later and I do not know what I would have done without my amazing physical therapist Brad! There are days that I do not like him very much (lol) but I know he is only having me do what is best for a full successful recovery. I am truly thankful for Brad and the entire St Francis team!!

I have had physical therapy many times over my life. You warm up your muscles then do the same exercises you do at home. The best physical therapists I’ve had are the ones that put their hands on the joint and evaluate for tightness, hot spots, pain and areas of concern. That’s what I need when I come to a PT. I can do the exercises at home. I can show you them and prove I’m doing them properly but then use your knowledge and skills to do things I can not do at home. Don’t sit behind a desk and make me spend time doing the exact same exercise if I can show you I’m doing it properly. It is very difficult in this busy world to find time to go to PT. When I’m there use your knowledge to help in ways that can’t be done at home.

My care was decent. My complaint is about the billing. I have high deductible insurance, so I end up paying most expenses out of pocket. Their billing rate is $180 for every 15 minutes, and they book you for a 30 minute slot, so you are paying $360 for a thirty minute visit ($720 per hour rate!). I did get a discount through my insurance company, but my final cost was still over $400 per hour for physical therapy. I acknowledge that I should have asked the cost first, but I thought I was going to the same place where my daughter had gone a year earlier (which charged $75 for 30 minutes!). Furthermore, a session consisted of about 10 minutes on instruction and 20 of me practicing the exercise. If the rate was lower, that would have been fine, but for over $400 per hour, I would rather do my exercises at home! PLEASE go somewhere else if you are paying out of pocket - or if you just want to protest unreasonable medical costs! There are other places that give excellent care without ridiculous prices.
