Standing at the relatively unknown President Benjamin Harrison's gravesite was peaceful. It's a very beautiful sight in the middle of a beautiful city. If you're in Indianapolis I recommend visiting President Harrison.

I am a true believer in that every president, no matter their impact, deserves a gravesite which is truly grand and historic. Yet Harrison deserves more, it is far too small for any president of the US. Benjamin should receive a much larger and spectacular site which reflects the power of the leader of our country!

Rather small compared to other presidential graves I've been to.

It is a goal of mine to visit the gravesite of every U.S. President. While I have been to a few Benjamin Harrison's is the most disappointing one yet. The gravesite is located in Crown Hill Cemetery which is beautiful. Upon entering there are a few signs and a painted road to lead you towards the site. However, I drove past the site the first time because the location wasn't clearly marked. The actual monument is relatively small and is actually dominated by larger monuments around it. Behind the monument is a large Hill where the site of James Whitcomb Riley, poet, rests. That site over looks the entire cemetery and the city but a former President is relegated to spot under a tree and nearly forgotten. I don't know the history of the grave site or the regulations but it seems to me it deserves more.
