Shelby Street Tavern is such a great spot in our neighborhood. Happy to call it a favorite. ❤

I have to give Buzz and Mel 5 stars. The chicken dinner was so freaking delicious, the servings are for us big eaters. The fried chicken livers are also fire. I like their establishment, it's friendly and inviting. Only thing I'd like to see is, they get Jim Beam Redstag in. They have every other flavor but, Redstag. So glad I stopped in to try your food, certainly impressed and not at all disappointed. I look forward to the next time, you have won my business.

We hosted our work group’s holiday party at the Speakeasy tonight. I can’t say enough good things. This place is a hidden gem. So unique and fun. Beautiful decor, excellent food and drinks, amazing service and ample room for everyone yet feels quaint and cozy. Dawn made the booking and food order process easy and once I was there I didn’t have to worry about a thing. They took care of everything. Book your party here, you won’t regret it.

This place is amazing, I feel like I’m in the 1800s and I love it! Dawn is nice, she’s like family to me:). She makes me happy and brings me gladness I get in to! There are allways good friends, and if your looking for a new friend you can allways find them

Food isn't the best here, but the atmosphere and service makes it 5 stars. We booked the upstairs for a party of around 20 people and it got a little cramped when everyone was together, but was still a good time. My pregnant wife went to get a drink for me and the bartender made it virgin without saying a word. That's called taking care of your guests. We missed some live music downstairs that sounded really good. I'd say the biggest downfall of this place is the space, it's definitely hard to get around with a full house.

Highly, Highly, highly recommend renting out the speakeasy for your private party! The ambiance is so special and we had so much fun! Service was great, food and drinks were great, our party couldn’t have had a better time, and the price can’t be beat!

The speak easy is very nice and although it is upstairs they have thought of everything to make sure you only go up the stairs once and then down when you leave with hand rails on both sides for those who really enjoy themselves. They have an balcony for smokers that is really nice and great for all. The Outlaw burger is the best I have had in a restaurant. The staff was great . I loved the atmosphere they have created.

This is a hidden gem in Indy! A great atmosphere all around, but the speakeasy is one of the neatest venues around. I hosted a halloween party there this year and had a wonderful time. Ryan took great care of us at the bar, and Dawn made all of the preparation and setup a breeze. Can't wait to visit again!

The Shelby St Speakeasy is an awesome little hidden hangout on Friday nights. Beautifully decorated, great atmosphere, friendly owners and staff, good prices, and some top shelf stuff they make some tasty adult beverages with. I don’t do a lot of these reviews, but this place is absolutely worth a visit!

Shelby Street Speakeasy is a great place to hold a smaller private party! Great staff, awesome drinks, taking you back to another era! The interior is decorated perfect if your looking for a 20's-30s feel. The party I attended was more fun than expected. Thank you, to the owners and staff for creating such a different space than your typical bar/venue.

This place is awesome! It’s so ordinary from the outside…you really don’t know what it is until you get in there. The tacos were the bomb, and can’t wait to go back for more. The owner is super nice, and talked with us for a bit while we waited for our food. Everyone there is so friendly. Definitely worth visiting!

The best bar on the Southside of Indy. The bartenders are amazing, funny, attentive and just plain awesome! The owners Buzz and Dawn make sure everyone is treated well from start to finish. The speakeasy upstairs is so beautiful and the Murder Mystery nights are so fun! If you're looking for great music, karaoke or a murder to solve, well this is your place! ! And live entertainment and food specials make it Win Win all around!!!

A great local Bar with great service, food, spirits and overall experience! Definitely a go-to place for good food and drinks when you are in Indy! Huge variety of bourbons to choose from & tacos are delicious as well. Speakeasy is done beautifully and will definitely be back!

This is a must see saloon. Very unique speak easy feel. Just a short drive from down town Indianapolis.
