I have had my personal taxes prepared by A.C.T. services for the last five years, and I couldn't be happier with their professionalism, customer service, timeliness, and state-of-the-art portal. They are always reinvesting in their technology to make sure the customer experience is seamless and easy to use. I highly suggest using their services if you haven't gone through a professional before! I have zero anxiety around tax season because I know they have my best interests at heart and are super communicative.

A.C.T. Services is a first-rate accounting firm. Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt to respond. Their leadership *cares* about the firm's clients and to that end schedules regular meetings for feedback about what they might do better (my typical answer: "Nothing! Just keep doing what you're doing!"). You are in excellent hands with A.C.T. I highly recommend them.

I have been a client of Tina's at ACT since 2009. They have always been courteous and knowledgeable towards anything relating to my tax preparation. Sure you could save a few bucks by going to a place like HR Block, but to me it is worth every penny to have peace of mind knowing something as important as taxes are being handled truly professionally. Sadly in this day and age you don't get what you pay when it comes to customer service, but I have always had quality service from ACT and would not hesitate to recommend to anybody.

I cannot say enough good things about ACT Services. I've been through three accountants before I found them, and I was nervous to use them (because, you know, it can be hard to find a good accounting firm). Man, I am so glad I took a chance on them. I am not sure what has happened to ACT, but they are only a shadow of what they used to be. I had been a client of ACT for about twelve years and have always received outstanding customer service; the office was almost like family. The great service started going downhill with tax season 2022-2023. During that time, I received bills for services that I did not ask for, exorbitant fees for simple services only consuming minutes of labor, along with inflated fees for phone call minutes that could not be accounted for. Ironically, in all the years I have been with ACT, I was never charged for basic phone calls until 2023 nor was I ever charged exorbitant fees for basic tasks. I was charged three-times the actual phone minutes incurred and similarly charged for work hours respectively.

When I inquired about the excess charges I was told by Karl, the office supervisor, that "There is always time behind the scenes that clients do not see." Okay-WHAT!!! Are you serious? So what I was being told is I was being billed for things there was no account for anywhere - nothing in the billing statement nor any verbal explanation. That was the craziest explanation I have ever heard from a professional organization and totally not acceptable. Imagine getting a bill from your auto mechanic that you were charged an additional $500 for work done behind the scenes that could not be quantified verbally or on any a billing statement. They were expecting me to accept that nonsense - no way. I started asking questions and requested a more accurate account of the charges in question. I even attempted to reach out to Tina Moe to no avail. I was never provided any explanation except for being told ACT was terminating me as a client. Talk about adding insult to injury - totally unbecoming of any business and completely unnecessary as no one in their right mind would do business with an outfit like that after receiving that level of unacceptable service.

This will be my last year with ACT, having used them for several years. Upon coming to the firm I was naive about business and accounting. Tina Mo tried to get me to sign up for an extremely expensive “membership” program they were trying to roll out. Would’ve cost me about $3500 upfront and over $500 a month. That’s close to what ended up being the annual profit of my extremely small business. Completely unethical move, in my opinion. My tax preparer is condescending and shrill with me every tax season. I feel like I’m in high school and I’m in trouble with the teacher. I bought and use their software they wanted me to buy. I do all the things they ask me to do. At some point it’s like...I’ve paid you to do this. So can you do it and drop the attitude?
