Krannert Park

My family recently went fishing at Krannert Park and we had a great time. There’s several little docks around the pond that is perfect to fish from. However, there are alot of turtles in the pond so be prepared to deal with them.

Great place to slow down the pace of life and revel in the simplicity of nature

Did a tour with handsome assistant park manager Zach Herring of the New Park facilities. They're almost as good looking as he is! In all seriousness the park looks fantastic, the staff is unbeatable and the activities and programs bring something to the table for everyone. Unless you hate nature in which case; what are you reading park reviews?

All the months of remodeling have off. Beautiful new additions and repurposing of common areas have created more efficient use of space that is inviting and functional. New equipment and ancillaries make this a place to visit for a good workout or relaxing fun at the pool facilities. Numerous meeting and multi purpose rooms offer a wide variety of options available for rent to the public. Overall; fantastic new facility!!

Elissa is so sweet! We met her today when we came to swim at the wrong time. She was so kind and gave us a tour of the pool, even though it wasn’t open yet. We are so excited to come back to swim (at the proper time, haha). Thank you Elissa, we look forward to activities at Krannert and seeing you again!!

Update Jan. 2023 - The building is still closed, because it is being renovated. The grounds are open Dawn to Dusk. // Pretty lake, picnic shelters, playground & pools. Apparently the grounds have expanded on the North side of the park. It makes for a longer walk around the park.

The new weight room is amazing! Overall, the newly renovated family center is wonderful.

I have a special love for this park since I've gone to it since I was a kid. It's a bit worn down and people tend not to pick up after themselves but it have a lot of great qualities to it. Has a park, two little hiking trails, and plenty of areas on the lake go fish.

Great small place to take kids! Fishing lake that gets stocked regularly. Lake provides several child- friendly fishing piers and banks. Playground is right nearby. Has available restrooms. I was impressed and thankful of the number of trees by the playground providing shade and protection from the sun. Only negative thing I can think of that the piers are very narrow. It was difficult for two people to fish on the same pier without invading each others personal space.

I helped with the controls for hvac and the lady’s at the desk were very friendly and helpful to all the customers that came in.

It’s a great park, they have swimming pool, gymnasium, soccer field, tennis courts, basketball courts, also they have a nice lake to fishing!!! They have a large green campus to walk around and getting a peaceful time. Don’t worry for the parking, it’s free and big. I strongly recommend you to visit Krannert Park!!

it’s a cute little lake. but please remember not to feed ducks bread!! it’s bad for them. give them steel cut oats, cracked corn, lettuce, and/or halved grapes instead. :)

This place over the years have grown and evolved. Creating beautiful outside grounds and walking areas, now improving the building and swimming areas. All without having to purchase more land. My first time there was in 1974. Thanks for your long time service to our community.

I must have come when they recently stocked. I was catching and releasing cats left and right. The next weekend- 5.5 hours and not even a nibble. It's a nice place though. The people are generally friendly. They have trails, grills, basketball, soccer, shelters, a playground, fishing, an indoor facility that hosts programs and an aquatics park with slides.

I had not been to Krannert Park in a long time. I parked near the lake to watch out over the lake and drink my cup of coffee. It was quiet and calming, the water in the lake looked very clean, nothing floating in it, like other times before. It was a nice experience.

This place is amazing. You can fish here for free if you have a fishing license. And it does not cost very much at all to use the inside pool and basketball courts and gym and party rooms. And it's summertime they have a really nice outdoor pool with slides and a kiddy area and diving boards and a lap pool. Beautiful place for a walk. They also have soccer goals. A beautiful playground. Water fountain Coke machine snack vending machine. They also have their own website and friendly people will answer your questions if you call them.

We love it here! My Grandbaby started tumbling here. Swimming here! We held our 2015 Family Reunion right out front! Pool was opened for a fee! Only problem it had rain. So the water was up to the Big Shelter. But that didn't stop us!!

We love the parent and me swim classes! Miss. Hanna is the best
