Big Woods Speedway

Love this place!! Located in the heart of downtown Speedway. Come in to a welcoming atmosphere served with good food and drinks. Today Big Woods is serving its Indy 500 race crowd with delicious drinks and food. I started off with a tall strawberry blonde with a bowl of chili. The beer is crisp with a strawberry finish. The chili is very bold with hints of seasoning. Next I ordered their Malik Reneau burger and it is so delicious. Burger comes with smoked bacon,onion rings, and BBQ sauce. 1 side of pub fries, and 1 side of sauté veggies.

Awesome place. Great beer flights. We loved that Jess took care of us. Appetizers were delicious. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Service here is top notch. Our server was fantastic and the manager was great to chat with. We had Ginger Jake the first night and he was amazing. We had Jakey the second night and he was also fantastic!

Atmosphere is spot on. Busy AF here but the staff was still on point.

Food was fantastic. I had some pork nachos for an appetizer and they were so damn good. Also had a burger for my meal that tasted so good. This place is under rated.

EDIT: came back a second time because it was so good. I had the brewhouse wings for an app with Buffalo and peppercorn ranch. Very damn good. I had the Hawaiian pizza and added peppers and jaleoanos. Wasn’t as good as I was hoping but was still tasty.

Visited from out of town on a business trip. It was a cool experience socializing with football fans from another state. Great atmosphere and awesome customer service. Kinda wish the beer was here, too. I’ll recommend this place to anyone traveling to/around Indy!

In speedway Indiana there are two restaurants I go to Big woods, speedway and and bourbon and BBQ. Both are amazing restaurants with amazing staff and unbelievable drinks. Probably some of the best food I've had in a long time.

Christina was incredible. Checked up on us often, made great recommendations at the best times and even got us new drinks without having to ask. She’s the real deal!

This is a great place for friends & family right on Main St in Speedway, Indiana, just a few blocks from Indianapolis Motor Speedway. They have a great selection of food with their pulled pork being a great choice. They also have a great selection of their own beers & craft beers. Whether you want to watch some current sport or just meet friends it is great. They have both inside & outside seating. A great choice for all to enjoy.

Big Woods delivers on every aspect of a fun, relaxed casual dining experience. Located on Main Street in Speedway, you instantly benefit from the lovely revitalized environment years in the making. Parking is reasonably easy (for 99% of diners...more on that later). The building is fairly new, and extremely well kept, especially considering the volume that it is capable of. A warm sincerely smiley greeting was given within 2 seconds of opening the door. We were seated right away at a lovely outdoor table on the GIGANTIC covered wrap around porch. We were greeted by Jake, who took perfect care of us from beginning to end. He was supremely attentive to our order, and didn't mind my mom and I chatting him up the whole time...awesome guy (oh, also on a previous visit, Tony took amazing care of us as well. Ask for Tony the Tiger!!! He's GRRRRRREAT!!!). Our beers from Quaff On were perfect, and their bloody Mary mix is worth buying a bottle to take home. We both smashed our Candied bacon bomb burgers with delight. Seared crisp, juicy and cooked to perfect medium, a truly proper thick burger. The prices are absolutely fair for such a lovely experience. We will certainly be back. A lot.

****I have one issue, but it doesn't matter to most people, and I love this place, but someone needs to hear it****

Handicapped parking: not so comically, for reasons, my mom and I are both struggling with mobility issues. The Handicapped parking here is delightfully located at the back of the building 15 feet from a short ramp to an easily accessible door. Unfortunately this perfect door is locked (employee only). This forces the folks on canes, crutches, wheelchairs to walk maybe 200 feet all the way around the building. I can't imagine that this is the way it was intended. There should be a better solution so that those in pain aren't broken from the walk into the building. Rant over.

The drinks were great, service was wonderful, and atmosphere was casual and fun. Also, best wings I’ve had in the city. Dry rub was so good I barely used any sauce.

Located on the corner of Main Street and W 10th Street just a short drive south from THE Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Stopped in as a party of three.

I'm definitely giving this place 6 STARS out of 5 for food, service, and atmosphere! Yup, that's right, 6!

From the moment we stepped into the front door we were greeted with a genuine, friendly welcome. At the time of our visit, Big Woods Speedway wasn't very busy, so we were seated very quickly.

Our server, man I'm soo sorry but I forgot his name, was the absolute best!! I'll describe him though in hopes that others get him as their server and get to experience his awesomeness! He's fairly tall, wears black framed glasses and has a well trimmed flowing beard.

We initially ordered a couple sodas, or pops, or fountain drinks, along with a Quaff ON! Cherry Wheat. Quaff, you ask, well it's a verb pronounced kwof,/kwaf/kwawf, which means, "to drink heartily and with gusto". Anyway, going back to the drinks, they were delivered almost immediately after ordering.

To make a looong, yet very interesting review short, we placed an order of cheese bread, a pepperoni/mushroom/chicken build-your-own calzone, burger, a six foot blonde Quaff ON! Blonde Ale, a bloody mary, and a couple desserts throughout our visit, and were presented with nothing with the best during our visit!!

In closing, if you've read to this point and still are on the fence about stopping in, DO IT, you won't be disappointed. This place is so good, however, during a race weekend, there will be a wait. But hey, that's what happens when you're the best in the area.

In closing to the closing, as an out of towner stopping in, you've made us feel very welcome and at home! Thank you and you better believe we'll be here with friends and family of our own the next time we're near.

Good pizza great breadsticks. Good location clean atmosphere stopped in late perfect time to eat. Server Jake was very personal and knowledgeable extremely good attitivness also. He was busy working several tables but still maintain to be professional and socialable seems like great team player. But also kept my drink full that is important for me on a good tip and customer review. 5 stars service from him across the board.

Service here is top notch. Liane was great and brought our food out in a timely manner. The ranch is amazing! I had the spicy bacon ranch burger and we split a Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese. We keep coming back time and time again. Highly recommend!

The beer is amazing had to order a 6 pack to go. Smoked wings were perfect while sauces were extraordinary. Pizza and pasta was also surprisingly top tier!!! The waiter we had outdid himself what a great staff. Bartender even went out of his way to create a off the menu alcoholic beverage for the Mrs. that tasted fantastic.

I just had another great burger and onion rings at Big Woods Speedway. Great food, atmosphere, and my server Christina is always pleasant, fun and super efficient. This is my favorite stop on my bicycle route. See you again soon Big Woods and Christina!!!

Wow! It was Amazing! Our server Lisa was AWESOME! She was very attentive and was always checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Food was hot and fresh and delicious. We tried all new things and shared with the table and everything was equally good. Nothing we were served was bad. Definitely go here!!

This is our favorite "where do you wanna eat Dear? I don't know, you?" place! Christina G was our server tonight! Great service as usual and fun! Food and atmosphere are great here. The smell of bourbon and craft beers remind me of a Tennessee restaurant/distillery experience!

Husband and I came here on Saturday for lunch. We were actually heading to Avon and decided to stop since we have never been here before and it's close to home.

We were immediately seated and noticed the ambience. Craftsman, rugged, clean, spacious, and a great vibe. Immediate impression was stellar.

Liane immediately came to our table to grab drink orders. She was extremely friendly and wasted no time getting us beverages.

We started with 2 side salads and asked for a pizza recommendation. We were deciding between 2 and Liane recommended a different pizza. Her recommendation had everything we wanted. The entire time she was all smiles, her tone was warm and friendly, and she laughed with us trying to decide what to get. We always prefer asking the staff what they would get since they work there.

Salads came out in less than 3 mninutes and were full of crisp lettuce, loaded with veggies, delicious croutons, and the peppercorn ranch was delicious. Salad was nice and cold.

Liane had our pizza out 5 minutes later. They had a decent crowd so we were extremely impressed with the timing of food delivery. Liane came back after a minute to check on our satisfaction. We told her her recommendation was the perfect selection. We joked so more with her and really loved her enthusiasm. We didn't feel like we were eating at a chain restaurant with her personal skills and her smiles the entire time. Pizza was hot, dough was perfect texture, loaded with meat, not too much cheese, and no grease. By far one of the best pizzas we have ever had.

We finished up and asked if we can request her going forward as she was more than half of our experience. Everything was outstanding. Ambience, staff, food quality, and price to value was well worth it.

We will definitely be back to see Liane and try some other delicious menu items.

Took my mother there for her 84th birthday. There were 10 of us and our wait person was wonderful and very helpful. Food was great and they had no problem with us bringing a cake. We were very pleased by the entire experience!

Love this place: had some starters- onion rings and parmigian fries - delish. They do flights and the beer is tasty. Staff wise, Jess did above and beyond care of us.
