Washington Township Park

Absolutely fantastic park in Hendricks County! They have a nice playground area, nice trails, lots of Pokéstops, a nice view of the Haunted Bridge, Pickleball courts, a FANTASTIC Disc Golf Course, and a great pavilion (event center)! This park is kind of deceiving, as when you pull in, it just looks like a tiny park. But if you follow the main road, you’ll quickly find that this park is MUCH larger than what you initially thought.

In my opinion, this is one of the best parks in Hendricks County, if not the best. It’s definitely worth visiting!!

Omgosh…cutest splash pad and park ever! No charge, no crowding and bathrooms close by! What a wonderful little place to keep cool at for children and adults of all ages! Found this place accidentally and was super glad to have stopped there on such a hot day! I highly recommend this splash pad & park!

Grandkids had a great time playing on the different playground features.....
Are only problem is every time we come the kids want to try to get a pop out of the pop machine and it always takes our $2 😭😭😭 I think we're up to a $14 loss now???? Maybe get the pop machines fixed so they work but the park is beautiful.....

Great park with trails for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking. The playground is large and cool, although our kids are beyond playground age. Splash pad and very nice event building on the lower part of the property, as well as the "haunted bridge." Seasonal events like non-ice ice skating, and kids camps. Great place to get outside.

Beautiful town park with playground, picnic shelters with grills, a gazebo, a lake in the woods, & walking trails. Also, in the building, there are restrooms. This park is a gem! I'll be back. ❤

My brother-in-law held his wedding here, beautiful scenery. The building was clean, every amenity you could ask for and there was even an employee on hand through the whole event in case there was a problem or we needed something.

My kids love walking the trails here, very nice playground very clean to have a family cookout.

UPDATE This park is still one of my favorites we hit some trails and streams today along cooked some dogs and sausages on the grill

It was a beautiful winter day. The sun was shining, a marathon in progress. Definitely will come back for the trails!

Had an absolute amazing time clean fun fun for all ages and not overcrowded perfect we will be coming staff is amazing had an excellent time affordable great experience. This is Murphy's pool we love it

My family and I love this park. Very pet friendly and clean. The hiking trails are perfect for families with little ones, lots of beginners trails. There's a beautiful fishing lake that makes this park so peaceful.

Great trails... dirt and paved. The park has grown since I had last been and even has a splash pad for the kiddos. Lots of opptys for different activities. Check it out!

Love this park for all seasons. During winter sledding down the hill is a blast with the kids. My one compliant is people leaving their broken plastic sleds, masks and other trash all over the place. I spent some time with my boys teaching the importance of leave no trace by picking up said items. Let's not be slobs and keep our parks clean people!

We have been going to Washington township Park for many years at this point. We have had many family get togethers at the shelter House, we have walked on the trails many times, and we have walked our dogs there numerous times. This park is clean and very well maintained. I have been to other parks that have trash everywhere and weeds growing everywhere, that is not the case here. It is extremely clean and nice. Can't say enough about it. I will also add that there is no charge for this park. If you're looking for a small number of trails, a playground, or even a paved trail, this is a great place to go. There are also many other areas of the park that we don't even use. The township does an amazing job of keeping this place tip top.

The trick or treating at the park is awesome, I have taken my grandson every year for last 3 years. We always have a blast!!

We absolutely love going to Washington Township Park! It's always clean and quiet! We enjoy fishing in the pond with our grandson and have met some very nice people doing the same! This park also offers so many events for individuals and families alike. The paved trails are beautiful and surrounded by trees and flowers.

Great trails along the creek. Nice outdoor performance space for local music and theatre.

Favorite park! Never too busy. Always beautiful in every season. Much to do. Always clean.

Beautiful park with trails to hike and walk around and places to let the kids play or slash around in. Amphitheater to enjoy a night of music. Great for stories of the haunted bridge.

I love to paint the Avon Haunted Bridge at different times of day and weather! Well maintained nice park.
