Lingr not only serves a fantastic variety of food but, the space, and staff are also fantastic. Our server Elijah was very nice and helpful when we had questions. They gave us some great recommendations as well. They even gave us the instragram account of the person who made the espresso cups after they saw us thoroughly examining them. The bar tender also came by to show us the coffee version of the cup.

We got the spare ribs special, the crudo, the lions mane dish, the calamari, and the shrimp dumplings for dinner. All of these options were amazing but, my personal favorite was the ribs and calamari.

I cannot recommend this place enough!

Walked in late afternoon for a couple glasses of wine. Sat at the bar wined and dined on the Lions Main dish. Very flavorful. Excellent service at the bar, sleek & cool dining room experience.

Go! Go! Go! It is my opinion that Lingr is the best restaurant in St. Petersburg. From the moment you walk in you are blown away by the simple details. The host was very warm and pleasant. After making our way to the table we were greeted by our server, Eli, who was a wealth of knowledge. He walked us through the menu and helped us make our choices.

We started with the Aquavit that was a great way to warm up the meal. The homemade recipe reminded us of Norway! Next came the unexpectedly delightful amuse bouche which was a citrus beet topped with a dollop of farmers cheese. I don't like beets, but I enjoyed this small bite immensely!

We made our way through the most delicious calamari I have ever tasted. It was tender and lightly crisped. Nothing like the deep fried rubber rings you get at other places. This was divine! We also tried the pumpkin dumplings and blue oyster dumplings. Both fantastic, but nothing like that calamari!

For the entree the grouper was perfect! Expertly cooked with a light burr blanc. The smoked trout roe gave a nice pop. It was complimented by charred leaks and little heavenly butter poached potato bites. The whole dish was tasty! My friend had the pineapple filet that looked great as well. He ate every bite so safe to say that was also a hit!

Finally, the cocktails. Incredible! I tasted the Wood - a play on the old fashion. It was a nice Japanese eye with subtle citrus notes floating through. The table also had the BD2 and Colleen. All three were raved about.

In all you just have to go and experience Lingr. This is not just another night out, it's a culinary journey and experience worth exploring that will not disappoint. Kudos to Chef Jeffrey Jew for the amazing experience!

With amazing service and wonderful food and was cocktails, Lingr needs to be on every foodies list of restaurants to go in St. Petersburg.
We came on a slow night and were seen promptly by our hosts.
Our service team was amazing. They made sure to go out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome.
We started with a few cocktails including the Wood and the Gardener. Both were amazing
Our appetizers were shrimp dumplings and the Crudo with watermelon gazpacho. Both wires 10/10 and would order again
For the main, we ordered the grouper which was deliciously crispy, buttery with a delightful accompaniment of mini potatoes and onions in a smoked trout roe beurre bland sauce. Truly a star of the menu. It was plated wonderfully, but in our excitement, we took a few bites before we got a photo.
We finished off the dinner with chocolate cake with cardamom ice cream which was rich, sweet and offered layers on layers of flavor.
If I’ve read this far, you should just go and see for yourself. You stop not regret it.

Get ready for a taste explosion!
I had dinner here on Saturday with a friend and was completely blown away by the flavors and textures of every single dish. I almost hesitate to write this review because I know it won’t be long before it will be impossible to get a table here. It’s all in the pics but I had the smoked lions mane mushroom appetizer and the spicy garlic shrimp wonton. The chef is an expert at layering flavors and textures and you’ll definitely noticed that in the lions mane dish. I also enjoyed the pan seared salmon entrée with Szechuan and braised cabbage. The fish was cooked to perfection and again, the flavor profile was astonishing. You may think that you have tried some more dishes in the past, but believe me this is a whole new level. My friend had the steamed bao app and grouper entree and raved about both.
In my estimation, this restaurant has one of the premier wine lists in DTSP. Are you usually disappointed by the selection of wines by the glass and other restaurants? I am too, but my expectations were greatly surpassed at Lingr. The sommelier did an excellent job and making these selections, and I need to give a special shout out to the bartender, Max, who really made the experience perfect. It was an extraordinary meal and every course was timed perfectly by Max.
The decor is very interesting and the ambience inside was beautifully simple and elegant, clean and modern. It really is an amalgam of Scandinavian and Asian influences - just like the cuisine. Next time, I’m going to try the outside dining area. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the inside dining area other than the bar, where we sat for our meal. Check out the pics - I can’t wait to go back this week!

Lingr was a great experience from start to finish. We didn’t have a reservation, but the owner was able to accommodate us. We ordered quite a few different apps and entrees and each had a unique set of flavors. You definitely have to be in the mood for this type of food because it’s unlike anything I’ve ever had. Service was top notch and the atmosphere is on point. Great addition to a particular area of downtown without many dining options.

Probably the best food we had in Tampa (although I’m told this place isn’t in Tampa proper) although we had to Uber about 35 min to get here.

Very, very interesting combination of Nordic and Asian cuisine which I can’t say I’ve ever tried before but was executed extremely impressively. Some of the standouts were the lion’s mane and trumpet mushrooms on sami bread (maybe my favourite offering of the day), spicy chili garlic shrimp dumplings (interestingly served cold- I would have maybe preferred hot here but it works), char siu shitake bao, mapo ho fun (just great flavour) and the ribeye (bit pricey but delicious). The desserts were all truly excellent but by this point our fullness from the food and our indulgence of the drinks precluded my ability to provide any significant critiques here.

The service was great and the atmosphere was really nice- intimate enough to enable normal conversation with your party but with enough of a backdrop of music and white noise to avoid any awkward silences. Super informative waitstaff who recommended much of what we ordered (to our great delight and approval), and a very impressive wine list to boot. There aren’t a lot of places I’d Uber 35 minutes out of the way to visit but this place, I would do it again in a heartbeat.

This is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in St. Pete in all categories. Service was the best I’ve had. Attention to detail, friendliness and seemingly a genuine interest in making sure we had a fabulous experience (and we did!). The food, wow! Original flavors, amazing presentation and just the right balance in the portions.

In short, if you haven’t been, go! If you haven’t been in a while, go back!

This is one of this rare times where I’m not sure which was better - the food, or the service. Our server Kyle was the best. Super knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and the perfect amount of attention. He made fabulous suggestions.

We started with the mushroom Bao and the shrimp dumplings- both So flavorful and delicious.

For our dinners we had the grouper- which was the slightest bit fried and the chicken with the most heavenly mushrooms I’ve ever tasted.

For dessert we went with the parsnip cake - which was this awesome combination of flavors and the chocolate cake with berry compote and toasted pistachios.

(All this food had much fancier names but I don’t remember them).

We came to Lingr to celebrate a birthday and Norway’s Constitution Day! Everything was incredible, from the cocktails all the way through dessert. Our favorite entrée was the pan seared grouper, but it was all great! The Norwegian pølser and lompe was a favorite too! I wish we could order it year around!

Walking into the minimalist space, curiosity lingers over how the Nordic and Cantonese-inspired cuisine will be? Well it’s simply exceptional. From crafted cocktails to dessert, everything is a blend of deliciousness. The grouper and duck breast are equally satisfying and cooked to perfection. Plus the Brunost poundcakey cheesecake is a heavenly slice to savor. Highly recommended.

Such creative and delicious dishes! I always order octopus if it's on the menu, and this is one of the best versions I've had yet, with a multitude of interesting and complex flavors from the smoked yogurt, charred onion powder, dill oil, umeboshi and yuzu gels, and puffed rice! The crudo was as delicious as it was beautiful, and the smoked lion's mane mushrooms on the warm and flavorful sami bread is something I'll probably have to order at any future visits here. And finally, all of their desserts sounded amazing, so I had to try all 3! The ice creams that came with them, one milk tea and one cardamom, were incredible, perfectly creamy and with such interesting flavors. Can't wait to return to try more of the menu!

What a freaking GEM downtown St Pete. Not the same 15 items on a menu here, dishes and ingredients I have never heard of and they are fantastic. I could literally fill this review by talking about their bread and butter, no joke fire! Smoked Lion's Mane Mushrooms, Snapper Crudo, Fish Cakes, and Cured Salmon were amazing. The cocktails were very original and made perfectly. Service was stellar and we will be back many times.

Small cozy place with maybe 15 tables. I had the petite filet and the rest of us had the grouper. Unique flavorful dishes-not like your standard beef or grouper filets. Calamari with sweet/sour sauce was great as were the spicy shrimp dumplings.

Celebrated a birthday at Lingr and had the most engaging food, drink, and friends experience ever. Every person that works there is knowledgeable about the menu. When the food is delivered it’s not auctioned - they know exactly what plate goes where, + the complexity of their craft cocktails was superb. Their online menu does not display prices but don’t let that detour your decision. The value proposition is there. We had 4 people and our bill was just under $300. We had several shared plates, a couple of cocktails, a bottle of wine and 4 entrées. The ambiance was relaxing and the seating was very comfortable. Oh and dessert. Please get dessert. #yolo

We tried the Fire, Wood, Metal and Earth cocktails. All of them were good but I didn't find any of them mind blowing. The Fire took a few sips to get acclimated to the campari then you could taste the beet. I only had sips of the other drinks.

We had the;
Bao
Shrimp dumplings
Mapo Ho Fun
Milk bread and rye with sea buckthorn butter and bottarga
Hamachi Crudo with citrus buttermilk
Smoked lions mane with brunost on Sami bread

The Bao and the dumplings were good. Didn't stand out a ton but still good. I didn't get much flavor out of the Bao fillings, I got mostly spiciness out of it. The bun was fluffy with a good chew to it.

The mapo Ho Fun was very tasty. Good texture on the noodles and the right amount of heat.

I'd read a few reviews and a lot mentioned to get Sami bread with the lion's mane and brunost. I liked it well enough. The brunost was rich with a little tang so that you could still taste it through the mushrooms.

The bread and butter dish was incredible. The rye bread wasn't dry at all and the butter was light as air. The butter was savory and sightly sweet and went perfect with the rye bread.

Hamachi Crudo, my favorite of the night. I'll mention that I love hamachi but the real star was the sauce. Citrus buttermilk with dill oil. I couldn't get enough of it. The tanginess cut the fattiness of the fish perfectly. The lotus root was crispy and was a nice textural accompaniment to the fish. I would go back to Lingr just to have this dish.

Absolutely wonderful. We were blown away by Lingr. Scallop crudo dish was one of the best scallop dishes I’ve ever had. The lions mane appetizer was stunning. Interior was beautiful and staff was great. Can’t wait to return and try patio once it cools off.
