Jestina is very talented and efficient. She saw me on her day off for a silk press. I have very long, curly, easily tangled and dry textured hair. It is day 2 and after a night of dancing, my hair still looks and feels soft, bouncy, and lovely. Thanks Jestina! I feel really lucky to have found someone I can trust with my hair.

I have been coming to Jayah Rose for about a year. Ruby does my silk presses. Not only is the result beautiful, but Ruby makes sure she takes care of the health of my hair. My son also recently got his re-twists done by Ruby. I highly recommend Jayah Rose Salon in Portland. All of their stylists are amazing!

I loved everything about the salon! The women that worked there were fun, the conversation was lively, and Nikki my stylist has given me the best haircut I ever had in my life. I have curly hair ,which takes extra extra skill to cut. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

I really loved my experience here, beautiful place and very comfortable. Nikki Lal did a fantastic job on my hair. Best haircut and dye I've had in years. I love my new look. She's also friendly, efficient and seemed to know exactly what I wanted without me having to explain it to her. I'll definitely be going back.

Roslyn Davis at Jayah Rose Salon did my two daughters’ hair (box braids) as well as mine (shampoo, conditioner, blow dry and flat iron) before a month long family trip. She was kind and professional, she accommodated our last minute request and was patient with one of my daughters who has an out of the ordinary tender scalp. We have been getting so many compliments from friends and we are very happy with the outcome. We will certainly have Roslyn do our hair again and we recommend her services wholeheartedly!

I have been getting my hair done from Jestina for the past few years. I had some issues with breakage due to lack of vitamins and poor hair care on my part, she was able to give suggestions. My hair is more healthier then it has been for a long time!!

It was my first time in the salon I was referred by a family member and was a little nervous for I have not been to a salon in a long time. Everyone greeted me with a smile which instantly made me feel like I was in the right place!! My stylist was Miko and she was GREAT!!!! She was very sweet and very thorough. She took her time and made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely be back to see her!!!

This is such a nice, calm, and comfortable salon. All of the ladies here are so welcoming, friendly, and professional. Trina is the best! I have been to several salons and have several hairdressers over the years, and I tell you the truth. Trina is the only hairdresser I have ever had that has given me a perm without burning my scalp! I highly recommend this hair salon.

After 7 years of wearing my hair natural, I wanted a change and booked with Jestina for a relaxer. She was very friendly over the phone and started on my hair within less than 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment time. I have very thick hair and she was able to get it completely straight with no burns. She also trimmed my ends, and I walked out the door feeling and looking great. I will definitely be back to see Jestina at Jayah 🌹!

I just moved to Portland from Tampa. I could never find a stylist that I liked. I relocated and started the normal hunt: Google, blog articles, Instagram, etc. I messaged the Jayah Rose IG page and Joy said that she would try and find me someone who was taking new clients. She recommended Jestina and I was so nervous because she had no Instagram or Facebook...but honestly how reliable is that anyway. Joy reassured me that Jestina is good and that of I didn't like her work, Joy would recommend someone else.

The salon is VERY clean and they go thru extensive cleaning practices and checks at the door to minimize COVID risk. Jestina did my hair and I was very happy with the way she cut, products used, everything. My appointment started on-time as scheduled and I was out in about an hour and a half. 3 years in Tampa and no stylist. 2 weeks in Portland and boom! I'm writing this review on my second visit. I highly recommend!

Jayah Rose came highly recommended. Getting set up with a stylist was a breeze and Jestina was amazing. She gave me a beautiful, affordable cut that I am very happy with! She took the time to get it right and checked in with me the entire time. I'm very pleased. Establishment was COVID compliant as well! Thank you ladies!

Been going to Ynique for 4 years, she's very flexible, talented, nice, and reliable. Only con is she gets booked up far out so be sure to make your next month of appointments if she's your stylist. Overall, the shop is friendly, stays clean, good separation of space. The shampoo room is cramped with the dryers but I don't spend a lot of time in there.

I recently went & was serviced by Nadege at Jayah Rose on Easter Sunday. Let me begin by saying I had a phenomenal time! She stood and braided my hair for 12 hours straight and not once did I utilize my ipad, phone or read my book for the duration of my hair service. If that doesn't tell you how amazing of a woman Nadege is to speak to, socialize with and be serviced by, than I don't know what does.

I love my braids - I got waist length, knotless micros using kanekalon hair. Due to my occupation, I contacted Nadege hoping for a quick turnover. Mind you her schedule was BOOKED out for at least the ensuing month. Although (due to my own scheduling) I had to reschedule my braiding appt with her - she found time on a whole holiday no less and provided me exceptional service.

She BODIED the look and I am so grateful to her not only for the service but for the insightful widsom and unforgettable conversation we had for the duration of my style! It couldn't have been more in divine timing to be fit into her full schedule and serviced as wonderfully as I was. The establishment was very clean and spacious. She kept her station & tools clean between clients and adhered to covid protocols. She even gassed me up when we were taking photos of the 'after' for her social media.

I say this to say I had an amazing time and i'd still go back even if I wasn't getting braids done just to see Nadege.

P.S. I get color 60 kanekalon hair which if you know, you know it tangles like nobodies business and truthfully I felt bad she had to deal with it (it's the only brand I can find online in white) kudos to her for not once mentioning it and still doing what she did!

I had THE BEST time at the salon. Roslyn helped me pick out a gorgeous shade. I loved that she dry cut my long, thin, straight hair.

Got my hair done by Dakima Maria at this salon. I asked her to do my hair such a quick response. She immediately met me after I got off work today. took her time my hair is so gorgeous I’m still in disbelief. Never had my hair done this good before. She walked me step by step with everything she did to make sure I was comfortable with my hair. such gentle hands I’m such a satisfied customer I’m going to tell everyone about how wonderful she is. And I will be back soon for a touch up.

I really love this salon. It’s a nice space, clean and everyone is super kind. Nikky is a great stylist and very sweet too. I always feel welcome there and they are good about listening and delivering when it comes to haircuts. I highly recommend this place.

I had been looking for a stylist in the area for months and no one had gotten back to me. Went to Jayah Rose's website and clicked on the booking link . Typed in my name, email address, and what I would like to have done. They got back to me within a few hours, stylist called by that night. Was getting my hair done the next day. Dakima is a miracle worker. She made my hair look vibrant again. Before my appointment I lost my wallet and had to turn around and go home. Called her freaking out. She helped me to calm down and said a prayer for me. She still did my hair even though I was late. I really appreciate everything. My hair looks and feels great. I will be returning for sure. Jestina Fasashi is the best hair care professional for my hair and personality. When I met Jestina I was recovering from a bad weave job. It looked great but the glue had literally torn off my hairline and the tight corn rows had rendered my natural hair weak. Not to mention the headache! Jestina has walked the journey with me. My hairline is growing back and my hair is getting stronger. She knows I don’t like being in the chair too long, am fidgety and easily bored. On top of that, I don’t visit often so she has to put up with my version of hair care...and she works with me. My last weave was the best. I know that Jestina is willing to explore options and requests. She handles my hair with care and always leaves me feeling that what I want is important. I am not just another head of hair to her, and I appreciate her personalized approach to me—including my hair. FYI: this is my 4th attempt at posting a review and they all seem to disappear from my screen by a simple touch of a sticky finger. However, I wanted to post this genuine review before going back to Jayah Rose Salon. The staff are all welcoming and helpful to each other and to customers. Jestina, you rock! Thank you!

I recently went in the shop for the first time with a situation with my hair thinking that I’d mess up starting a healthy hair journey, but they saved my hair a best it could be coming out from their with a thankful heart to my stylist and I’m so thankful to God to sending me here bc the hairstylist save my hair, also her and all the lady’s gave me great advice how to take of my hair so I won’t ruin it again, females helping females loving supporting helping kindness vibez, like for real I like I felt comfortable and I’m a real shy person and I felt straight away these are the right people who can help bc one their professional and they took care of me the best way, Ima finna definitely continue to come do my hair journey over here. I recommend people getting their hair done here bc they’re so dope and their work as well.

I’ve been styled by multiple people at Jayah Rose and they are all amazing. The shop is very welcoming and everyone is friendly. Not only that but all of the stylist really know what they’re doing and I leave satisfied all the time. Dakima is my stylist that I go to most often, Miko is amazing with weaves, Dayree is the braiding queen and this is just to name a few! Honestly anybody in Jayah Rose that does your hair will have you looking and feeling amazing.
