Smoke N Bones BBQ

I was very pleased. I showed up at 7:20 pm and asked to sit on the patio. I know they likely thought I'd keep them open late, but I just wanted a fast dinner on the way home.

The patio furniture is rickety--my table and chair were both rocking. I moved to another table.

I ordered the brisket sandwich and fried okra. The brisket was delicious, fatty and flavorful. The size of the portion of okra was appreciated. I tried both the sweet and spicy BBQ, and enjoyed both but preferred the spicy.

I got my bill and set my card on it. Little did I know, there's a QR code for you to scan and pay! I was used to that with menus, but not payment. Anyway, the server explained and we got it taken care of. The price was RIGHT, and I tipped well for being a late order. I was out of there by 7:45.

The BBQ gods have blessed St. Louis time after time w memorable smokes, rubs, and fall off the bones meats. In this city, Smoke N Bones has instantly vaulted to the top.

Food. The brisket melts in your mouth and the ribs fall off the bone. The chicken is smoky and turns into something heavenly when doused in their house made mustard sauce.

Portions/Value. We ordered the family meal for 4. At $90 it’s not cheap. But then you see the portions. It’s no exaggeration to say this will feed 8 - 10 hungry adults. Our family of 4 is now graced with leftovers for days.

Atmosphere. Nothing fancy. You’re not here to be wined and dined. You’re here for the best BBQ in St. Louis. Get over the bland tables and drab walls and instead focus on a meal you’ll be telling your friends about.

Best bbq I’ve ever been to hands down! Not only the best food, but the most amazing customer service, as well as at a great price!! The owner himself served us and made conversation . Even gave us a few ribs each to sample out. Everything was 5 starts in my book!

St. Louis and BBQ have a rich and storied history. Everyone has their favorite this or that.

Well, the ribs at this place are the literal best in the city. I have never encountered such exquisite heaven. The rub has a gentle sweetness that gives way to buttery pork heaven. I'm feel ashamed to say that I cook ribs because compared to this I'm just a fool. Please, please, PLEASE go here.

Beyond the ribs, The smoked wings are incredible, the BBQ chicken is outstanding, the brisket is great. Everything is really outstanding.

Sides matter at BBQ. Well, the fried green beans, yes fried green beans, are beyond anything you've ever eaten. I don't even like green beans. The fried corn is phenomenal, and everything else is so good. He won't give up the secrets to his potato salad.

The best place in Saint Louis for BBQ from the quality & the amount of food you get for the price to the overall homey feel & atmosphere of the restaurant. The owner of Smoke & Bones BBQ, Aaron, is also an amazing person who you can tell puts love & passion into his food that you can taste with every bite. Highly recommend Smoke & Bones BBQ.

The ribs were the best thing we ordered but brisket, turkey, and pulled pork also pretty good. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Fast service. Will definitely be coming back!

The beef brisket and the smoked Turkey were delicious. I went with 14 ladies and everyone loved everything they got. The side orders were amazing too. I had a baked potato it was delicious with butter, sour cream & cheese.
The baked beans were amazing The Texas toast is great too. I had the sweet sauce and I loved it too. Others were loving the potato salad and the slaw. So fresh. I tried a fried green bean and I can’t wait to go back to get them.
They have a pretty big menu too and I had plenty to take home. You need to go!!!!!

Great ribs, brisket was really good too. I loved the Cole slaw of all things!!

This is a hidden gem of a BBQ spot that should definitely get more attention. I had the smoked wings, cheesy potatoes, and green beans. All of it was delicious! The bbq sauces were just an added bonus to a wonderful meal. The owner is a really nice guy too! He told us that everything is made in-house... except the applesauce.. Hands down, this is my new favorite BBQ spot in St. Louis!

Had a great experience! I stopped by this fine establishment after having a flat on my car. I decided to grab a quick bite and order some ribs with cheesy potatoes. The food was delicious! After finishing my meal the owner actually came out and helped me change my tire! This place has a great atmosphere with great people and amazing food!

Had the pork, turkey, and the brisket for take out. All was moist and flavorful. Had the sweet and mixed sauces both paired well with all 3 meats. Will be back again

Tried this place out for the first time, and let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS! The meat I had was tasty and savory that I had to order another plate to go for dinner! Not only was the food top tier but the service was excellent and the inside of the restaurant was so nice and clean! I highly recommend it!

Wonderful meal. Brisket slices was super tender and tasty! The wings were wonderful especially with a little of their sweet or spicy sauces! Service was great and very helpful.

Kind people, great food! Portion sizes are great for the pricing. Only thing missing is beer, but a great to-go option.

By far the best barbecue place we have been to in a while. We drove from Cincinnati and we were told that the food here is amazing so we stopped to try it and we were blown away. This place is a gem. Great service, VERY AFFORDABLE, you get so much food and friendly people. You won't be disappointed.

There are several good BBQ places in the St. Louis area, but I decided to pick this one because it was not a chain like some of the others. No regrets in that decision whatsoever. This originally was meant as a lunch trip, but somehow arrived there after 3 p.m. on a Friday afternoon, so the place was pretty empty at that time.

The dining area is large and tables and chairs scattered all around. You have a roll of paper towels on the table, There are sauces too beside the paper towel roll. Decided to order a 3 item combo which cost around $23 to try out some of the meats. Ended up with the pulled pork, brisket and sausage. Of the 3 meats, the sausage stood out the most.It is extremely soft and tender, and packed full of smoky flavors. It is a little on the greasy side however. The other 2 were pretty good though the brisket was on the dry side; however, they did not stand out as the sausage did. This place also has a very respectable spicy bbq sauce. The server recommended two sides included Cheese Potatoes (YES!) and Green Beans, and these complimented the meal extremely well.

The meal was very good, and I ended up finishing everything on the plate. It was also good enough that I ordered a pound each of the brisket and sausage to go. I can attest that the food not only survived the trip back to Seattle, the freezer compartment of my refrigerator, and still tasted very, very good about 60 days later when I finally finished all of the meats.

Overall I rate the food from this place 4.5/5 for what I ate. It is worth making a trip there when you are in the vicinity.

So good! The turkey is so tender and juicy. I would compare it to Bandana's. The bread is delicious- I just love a well toasted bread. Cole slaw-good, beans- sweet and good, and the mac and cheese was nice. It was lighter than the baked soul food mac and cheese I love but it was surprisingly good, flavored well. Fam had ribs and have probably been back already in the past few days. They loved them. The cups of sauce provided were sweet and tangy too. This was my second visit and the guy who takes the orders is very nice, helpful, laid back. I haven't eaten in but the inside is clean and simple. Lots of tvs. Would be a decent neighborhood spot for a tv sports night. Sweet spot, def going back.

What a gem of a BBQ place. Small but adorable. The food is the star though. The chicken wings. I can't say enough about them. Hands down, best wings I've had in awhile. Brisket was like butter and the sides did not disappoint. I will be dreaming about that sweet BBQ sauce as well. Please go...frequently.

Really enjoyed the brisket with their spicy barbecue sauce, served with two sides: potato salad and fried corn on the cob. Will definitely return!

Went to Smoke N Bones on a recommendation from friends. Did not disappoint. Everyone at the table agreed these ribs are some of the best in town. Owner waited on us and made sure we had everything we needed. If you’re a rib fan, I highly recommend. They have a byob policy so grab your favorite six pack and head over.
