Countryside Park

Always a good walk when I come here. Not usually too many people, but on occasion there's disc golf tourneys. I walk the course and proceed to the trail through the small wooded area. The large hill makes for good exercise for the dog too.

Did not even know this is 3 miles from my house. I found a new HIDDEN lake. Enjoying the fall colors.

Great family park. People have taken great care of disk golf course. Nice playground on North side of park. The fishing is always good here. Well kept and just off the bike trail. Also has the cleanest porta potty I've ever seen, lol!

I bring my dog every couple of weeks. Plenty for him to explore, and everything is so well maintained and pretty, I'm never bored following him around.

Beautiful place to fish and very clean and relaxing i enjoyed every moment fishing there.

The park is near my home, well maintained. Good for walking the dog and connects to the play park as well. Their is fishing, a huge hill for sledding or just running wild. This also connects to the regions bike trail.

Don't really want to share this little gem with ya'll but it's our favorite sledding Hill.

Has a great fishing pond. I release the fish back so someone else can enjoy the pond.

Quant small park, but nice. Has a huge sledding hill in the winter, although dangerous if you are very little. A cool disc golf course, that is a little tricky to navigate as a few of the sign posts have been damaged, but still a lot of fun.

This is my favorite park in Portage! Mainly because I am an avid disc golfer and they have one of the nicer courses in the area. There is also a great walking path that runs through the entirety of the park that I guarantee most people don't even know it's back there. It's great for all seasons.There is actually some very pleasant scenery while walking the path into the woods along the pond. If you haven't tried disc golf. I strongly recommend. It's great exercise and entirely free to play. (Besides buying your own discs) There is a great community involved and you can always go out and make a new friend.

All in all, it has a nice Portage historical museum, great disc golf park, very nice banquet hall for gatherings, great back drop with the pond for photos, big open fields to host any sports practice you can imagine, and there is even a nice playground on the southside of the park. This park has it all!

Great disc golf course. Elevation to start and woods to finish. Have to be cautious of others. Is an open public park but an amazing place to throw plastic :)

Beautiful park. Great frisbee golf course. Sledding hills are high and fun. Expect beyond large crowds and exceptionally rude teenagers. Do not recommend for younger kids if they want to enjoy themselves.

Went to learn to play disc golf. Pretty fun course for patient beginners! Nice walking path and little park there too. Bike pass passes through also. Will definitely be back.

We live in this neighborhood and love the family oriented atmosphere. We specifically moved here for the diversity and seeing how everyone was out and about with their kids and pets, working on their yards, cars, fishing, disc golf, etc... the trails are great and I’m happy to be apart of this community.

Nice and quite. Reception hall on site for rent. Pond out back with a fountain and some small fish. Good for crappie or blue gill. Disc golf course and a museum on site. Very nice place for a break in the park.
