Planned Parenthood - Gary Health Center

I nornally love this location, very clean and friendly staff, but today the lady at the front desk very rudely reminded me about my balance from months ago and asked me how I would be making a payment. I quietly told her I couldn't and she very loudly said "you can't pay today!?" so everyone could hear. Very unprofessional. The actual doctor herself is absolutely wonderful. She's very down to Earth and very hip. Love talking to her. I told her about that lady and she said she would let someone higher up know

I was told that I could do a walk in - before 5pm as they close at 6pm. Office staff had no compassion and I was refused service and when I attempted to contact the switchboard to verify what I was told. The manager asked who I was calling and then asked me to leave. Planned Parenthood staff used to be compassionate and caring but not anymore! Maybe they no longer deserve the support of the community nor federal funding. I would not have treated a dog the way I was treated today! I could have been treated in the same amount of time they insisted that they couldn't see me!

The staff in this clinic does not follow guidelines. I was told by a staff member that only the person who the appointment is for can go inside the doctors office at this time due to covid19. Then I noticed the staff member still let 2 people go inside the doctors office. This was 11/23/2020 between the time of 12pm and 1pm. I recommend this staff be retrained to follow the guidelines better because this is completely unacceptable.

Extremely rude and unkind staff . Lady who spoke to me was so insensitive to my situation and basically gave me the boot . Also your info is supposed to be confidential but they speak to you right by the lobby so everyone and they momma can hear lol I was referred here by a friend because they provide care to the uninsured and unemployed . Agian like I said the MA calls upon me and let’s everyone and they momma know my financial status (currently broke) but everyone already knows that thanks ! 😂 Anyway the reason I even came to this clinic was because of my insurance and employment status but when filling out paper work MA was so rude about my financial status. I been to planned parenthood’s
before and they have never denied me care or had a issue. I will NEVER return here or reffer anyone here . Planned parent hood is great most times. I don’t usually write reviews either but putting me in public embarrassment is a motive . Maybee it’s was to early because that MA was cranky lol

Horrible, unsanitary and unprofessional they're always so called losing your specimen. I'm sick of them
