The portage house of pancakes is top-notch!!! Plus, they recently opened for evening hours, 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Highly recommend.

Blueberry 🍇 pancakes 🥞 perfection. I've never had fresh blueberry 🍇 pancakes 🥞 like this .. perfection. My husband Country Fried steak was hot from the time he started to eat it till his last piece. Plates are always hot when served. This is our 5th time hear and never a disappointed meal! You must try it. It's worth the drive from Merrillville Indiana.

I absolutely love this breakfast/lunch place! Staff friendly, food is always fresh & delicious. It doesn't take an eternity for food to be served. There's plenty of free off street parking. Restaurant is handicapped accessible, and restrooms. The owner is so humble and personable! I am a repeat customer and strongly recommend this place to everyone! Forgot to take pictures, was too busy cleaning my plate! I promise to take pictures next time!

The doctor was really thorough. I haven't had my eyes checked that well in a long time. The staff was all friendly and very helpful with helping me pick out glasses that looked good on me. I feel I got a great deal for my money and will most certainly go back again. My glasses came in sooner than I was told.. it was great to see clearer.

I went to the Great Wall of China very good tasty food a big assortment of food that you can choose and if you don't want to sit in and eat they have it where you can weigh the food It is a good place to take family the atmosphere is very good they're always on hand to help!🙂

This place has fantastic senior specials and attractive waitress to serve best breakfast food in Portage.

We had breakfast at House of Pancakes in the center. Seated quickly, wait staff is always attentative & fast. Hubby ordered the chopped steak plate & I had their LoCal protein plate. I couldn't believe all the food on the dish. A quarter pound burger, hard boiled egg, a cup of cottage cheese, watermelon & grapes, tomato, pickle spear all on a bed of fresh lettuce. The waitress even brought a bowl of soup to take home that came with a fresh roll too. Both of our meals were under $10.00 each. The owner is always on hand & stops at every table to see if you are satisfied. Do yourself a favor stop by for breakfast or lunch, you won't be disappointed.

The food was plenty and delicious. The atmosphere was more elderly and not of our nationality. We were the only persons of color and the owner seemed at first not welcoming. But at before our departure, we embraced us, laughed and welcome us back. That we will do and inform our Associates, Friends, Coworkers and Family 👪 ❤
