First Unitarian Church of Hobart

A loving, safe place for those who have been harmed by church in the past. Many have found a home here who would otherwise not go to church. There's a little something here for everyone, and room for your spirit to grow in its own time in its own way. And the new minister is thoughtful and inspiring.

Very nice church, the people are very friendly, & the church supports all sorts of social, racial, & environmental causes. This is also a place where anyone can worship, all are welcome. They accept ALL religions with a basic requirement to respect each others choices as long as it harms none.

A welcoming community. A place that does not dictate what to believe. But supports you in your faith journey.

Interesting perspective, both scientific and religious. A pertinent place to explore on on your journey should you have curiosity or consideration of different philosophical questions. This place seems non judgemental and many of the members share a genuine concern for the world we live. Overall, an easy congregation to visit or join.

This Unitarian Church helped the Self-Injury Support Groups of NWI with their “change for social change“ collection this month (March 2020). They find a good cause for the month and support them. I love how giving and open they are to a variety of causes in the community.
I go there more often now because they don’t just support themselves, they live their values in the broader NWI community.
I feel welcome and encouraged to be my full self there with all broken and strong parts. I find a way through this congregation’s example of activism to give of myself in the larger community, even if it just putting some change in their cups each Sunday.

I highly recommend joining this unique church. They allow anyone who follows *ANY* type of religion or no religion at all. And after each service, we have snacks.

I have always known I had a spirit that wants to share and give. This church gives me the warm, loving and giving atmosphere that recharges my soul.

I like that they are so inviting and welcoming and friendly. They have given me a church to call my own.
