Green Door

I absolutely love this place!! I can always find a book there and it's very cozy. Every first of the month they offer you to fill a bag for ten dollars, best ten dollars I've ever spent!

Green Door is an amazing little book store that I would recommend to anyone trying to find used books at a good price. Most of them are a dollar and they have a sale that lets you buy a tote bag and fill it with books for $10. They also have a lot of events that really add to the community and sell lots of cute stickers and trinkets if you’re not much of a reader— they have a little something for everyone.

This quaint shoppe is filled to the brim with used books, local artwork and novelties. It's a true gem in downtown Hobart.

Amazing shop, everyone here is so friendly and passionate about making literature accessible to the community. They also have so many great events for the community, from open mics to arts and craft nights. They do so much for local artists as well. Love Green Door Books ❤❤

Great books and great art! I'm a slow reader, so I'm not always buying books but I can never pass up all the beautiful local art! Here's a couple beautiful necklaces I got recently that were very reasonably priced. They also gifted me free books for my classroom. There's something here for everyone.

Green Door has an excellent, fluid selection of books, ‘zines and even art. All books are a buck! The zines and art are fairly priced, and they have great events here, too. Great to stop by and try a new author for a quick read, or grab a stack for the price of a novel. Helpful staff that let you browse - or will aid your search for what’s in stock, or recommend new reads. Did I mention that the books are one dollar? Can’t go wrong trying out new reads, for prices that even beat Amazon at a LOCAL store. If you miss brick-and-mortar bookstores and are within 100 miles, don’t miss out on this local gem.

An absolutely wonderful little local bookstore. I had a great time and was impressed by the diverse collection and great prices. There is definitely a book for everyone here and is a nice bookworm oasis. The people running the store are passionate and good-natured. I will definitely come back here again

I love this shop. I'm only in the area once and year and always make it a point to stop in and see what prints they have for sale from local artists. The book selection is great and the staff is always fantastic. It's definitely worth stopping in to check out.

Wonder gem of a store in downtown Hobart. So excited to have a local store so close to me. Great staff, great selection. It is a friendly environment full of great titles. There was even a special winter storm sale today that we took advantage of!

Very nice used book store. Good selection of titles and genres. $1 per book, so very reasonable. The owner is very nice to speak to. Plus, they do accept debit/credit. Would highly recommend.

Green Door was such a find! The used books (aside from a select few) are all $1! Most books are in really good or good condition. The sections are separated by general categories, with a few specific genres separated from there. They also have some neat local art and zines.
