Downtowner Restaurante

A great place to have breakfast, with one of the best in town! It is located in a strip mall and there are entrances on the north and south side of the complex with parking on either side. They have a very nice selection of food and it has always been great. They also have very friendly staff and are very kind. Check them out!

Great place for breakfast food at a great value.

We've had just about everything here and it's great.

I usually get the omelettes - it's hard to go wrong there.
Prices are good - it's hard to spend a lot here, and the coffee refills keep coming when you need that energy.

The servers have all been chill and very accomodating to weird needs of the kids and athletes in our groups.

Best breakfast bacon I have ever eaten. Portions are large and tasty, service is Midwest friendly with great coffee, refills galore and happy customers. Not a fancy place which is why we love it!

Wonderful breakfast and lunch focused diner. Staff was friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the Jalapeno Ranch burger with a side of onion rings. The burger was on the larger size and cooked well, messy but not impossible to eat.

This was our first visit to the Downtowner. Our waitress was only on her second day. It's seat yourself so we went right in and pick our seats. We were greeted almost instantly. Took our orders and brouht drinks immediately the food came quickly and was delicious. Big portions for the price definitely worth it. We got biscuits and gravy sausage, bacon, sausage, pancake, toast and eggs. Everything was superb! We will definitely be back to The Downtowner! Service, food and quality was excellent!

Literally the best breakfast joint in town. My husband and I are regulars here. Today we went in to eat and I was cramping so bad we had to order our food to-go today. Bree our favorite waitress (although we've been served by them all and they are ALL AMAZING) left me such a sweet message on my to go box telling me she hopes I feel better. ❤ her kindness actually made me cry. We love this place and I'll never stop recommending it. The food is wonderful, as well as the service. We love it here and we will never stop coming. 10/10

Breakfast for lunch is a bonus, 2 non-menu requests were greeted with a smile and delivered spot-on. Simple stuff like jalepenos and cheddar on the grits really made this meal! Being in walking distance I will be back often.

Had the Lumberjack breakfast, eggs over easy, patty sausages, rye toast, hash browns, and a half order biscuits and gravy. My wife had eggs Benedict and tater tots!

I hadn't been to the Downtown errands before. I was pleasantly surprised at the service and affordable prices.

Great service. I mean friendly smiles all around, frequent stops at the table for refills, helpful ordering tips and they have NEVER gotten my order wrong.
Quiet enough to have a conversation without shouting but not funeral home quiet. It's bright and comforting ; everything you'd want from a diner.
They specialize in breakfast (at least for me) and the food is great. Big portions, tastes good. I'm giving the 5 star rating for the service and the value. I'd go every morning if I lived closer!

We came in Purdue Parent weekend. We had to wait 2 hours to be seated and once seated we had to wait 45 minutes to get our food. I STILL rate them 5 stars because while we waited we were checked on and cared for the best of their ability. The place was bombarded and they handled it well.

Our food was hot and cooked well when we got it. Drinks/coffee was refilled on time. The waitress was amazing. The owner was helping out.
