Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS)

Fast and efficient, well staffed security. Easy parking. Nice restrooms. Ample seating at the gate with charging stations at almost every seat. This is a smaller airport and currently under construction, but well maintained and staffed. I look forward to visiting when construction is complete, and I hope Alaska adds a direct flight to Boise from this airport!

Construction is done!! Airport is looking nice and new, front entrance is fully operational. Airport was crowded today, so glad I had an hour for security. Easy security process. Happy to have access to this Airport in Sonoma County!

Cutest airport ever! Every detail is well designed. The space is airy and welcoming and fun. And it’s super easy to navigate.

The Wine Country Airport. Makes Sonoma County proud. Direct flights to Denver and Las Vegas! Awesome

Love the little airport with a direct flight from Phoenix to my home away from home. Great food and wineries. Beautiful coast line and magnificent Redwood forests. Be sure and go to Bodega Bay and Bodega Headlands. Lots of scenery and hiking on the coast. Also, Armstrong Woods near Guerneville is a must visit. Healdsburg has great food and shopping. It's a fun and friendly place to visit.

New renovations in 2023 are very impressive! Checkins and security are always fast. Food and wine tasting inside new terminal, natural light, and outdoor dining patio.

This is a very small airport, but that makes for a great experience. Walked right through security - no line, very helpful employees. Arrived about 1 hours before our flight.

Only downside is that you have to walk outside to board your plane. We got lucky and the rain stopped just as they started to board the plane. Could have been rough otherwise.

I love flying into this airport! Every part of one's travel is a breeze - easy on/off the plane, easy bag drop and retrieval, easy parking and drop off/pick up. If only all travel was like this. Add the scenery and wow! UPDATE: the remodel is complete and the facility is even better. Light filled, comfortable and easy access in and out.

Very quaint little airport. Nice restaurant and bar for waiting guests. It is only two terminals, and terminal 2 is DEFINITELY the mixers one with nice, new seats, cafe and vending machines. They do have Porto potties for the restrooms, but I feel like they will update this later. Overall, very easy airport to get to if you are heading to the Sonoma Country area.

Very well run airport for general aviation. Two FBOs. Both good but Sonoma Jet Center is especially friendly. NorthCoast Air is the flight training center with 6+ CFIs and an excellent fleet of training aircraft. The tower is a training facility making a friendly environment for student pilots, also in a learning phase.

Very small, 2 minutes through security, plenty of seats for waiting. Restaurant and vending machines that carry drinks, snacks, pharmacy stuff, and last-minute travel items. Small bar in the waiting area. They also have restrooms right next to the acting area and a lactation room as well.

Very grateful to still have our Sonoma County Airport servicing many cities! Nice lounge area, helpful staff inside and a pleasant traveling experience. Parking is super easy. Just a short walk into the terminal. Everything is close and easy to get to. There's a restaurant inside, and bus stop out front and Airport Express services the airport as well. FBO's and Air Museum nearby. A very cool airport.

UPDATE June 2021: I took Avelo Airlines from Santa Rosa to Burbank. Only $19!! The experience was excellent!

Aerials are from October 2021 from a balloon flight my family took that flew over Sonoma County Airport. We loved seeing a plane flying in on final runway under our balloon.🎈

Great airport with quick and easy access to Russian River, Sonoma, and Napa wine country.

Terminal is new, clean and offers all of the amenities of bigger airports (rental car, food, pre-check) but way less stressful and no lines.

The best airport! Everything is so easy - parking, getting processed through security and boarding. Staff is courteous and friendly. I will fly out of this airport any time I need to fly!

Easy, clean, no crowds, convenient, close in long-term parking, and a great restaurant. We love the airport!

I love our updated airport. They added modern conveniences but kept the Peanuts charm!

NOTE: This review is PRIOR to visiting & flying out of STS.
I typically fly out of OAK & SFO and have yet to experience STS. Living in Marin County, I’ve either been driven to or taken an airport shuttle to the larger airports which is beginning to become tiring and more expensive. I appreciate the SMART train and shuttle connection to STS as that’s far more convenient and I’m a frequent traveler! Although I’m loyal to Southwest Airlines, I’m willing to experience a new airline & airport for the sake of my time & expenses. STS currently offers Alaska, American & Avelo airlines. It’d be great if Southwest came here but I understand this is a smaller, regional airport. As soon as I book a flight from STS, I’ll happily update this review. Thank you for being much closer and accessible to Marin!

Our Airport is so cool and fresh now. Lot of upgrades. I love flying from STS. The best!

Airport was accessible and quick. I was able to print my pass, have a drink, then head to my gate with no delays or issues! I didn’t even have to show up hours in advance! Clean airport and staff was super friendly! Def will fly from here again, as long as the prices are reasonable!
