Tippecanoe County Public Library - Downtown Library

Always a nice place with good people. Even though it isn’t in the best spot, the place is still nice. When the revelations are finished (as of November 2023) it should look really nice.

Staff are super helpful and patient. The building is currently being remodeled and I can't wait to see what they get done!

I've only been to the front part of the library which looks to be done with the remodel. There's a big desk at the front where you can ask for information 💁

There's a new system to pick up your holds. They are upfront and ready for you to grab them and take to the self checkout.

They have a lot of friendly staff members to help out if you need it.

They have new movies you can check out for two days. Good things so far.

Awesome library! Only wish I had more time to enjoy the facilities.

I haven't been to this library in a long time but I was happy to learn that I can take magazines home for 2 weeks. They weren't very busy but I think there was a parade bc parking was difficult. Whoever sees this I hope you have a wonderful day or evening~!

Great, super clean place with incredible staff. David, and everyone are super helpful, don't be afraid to ask questions! During the pandemic you can't read in the library, but you can still browse. They also have a free book cart, and they are currently taking book donations at the time of this review!!!

I love this library! My granddaughter and I have been attending the classes for kids since she was about a year old! Started with Lap-sit, now in toddler time and going to try pre-school class today! The librarians in the child area are AMAZING and we love them all!! It’s not a long time of interaction with other kids, but every bit helps and we look forward to going!! Thank you for your work and devotion to these kids!!❤

Their librarians in the children’s section are passionate about helping share their love of books and reading with kids. My kids enjoy the reading programs and other fun events they host. We also enjoy their book sales. We find great books to add to our home library.

Great service, especially during these trying times. Curbside pick-up available for collecting reserved books. The books have all been in excellent condition.
The library (pre-COVID) is open and spacious, with plenty of space to get lost in a great book or get some work done.

Best library in town. Very helpful staff and lots more than books are available for checking out. Lots of construction right now and the 24 hour library does not seem to be working.

Been able to find many great books here. Decent media selection, especially if you're into obscure out dated music. Conference rooms are nice. There are usually very interesting community events held here. Love this place!

They have wonderful COVID safety practices in place. Everything can normally be done social distance, even checking your books out. They also encourage you to place items on hold and do a car pick up, where they will bring your items to you.

Covid -19 edition
Books that are checked-in remain in quarantine for 24 hours. Returns are only allowed outside the building. There's a person posted just inside the door who ensures a safe number of people are in the facility at all times. Hand sanitizer and wipes are readily available. I'm sure there are many more proactive Covid preventative efforts behind the scenes.

I wish only one person could peruse the 'free cart' at a time. There is a sign encouraging one person at a time, however.

Very enjoyable to sit quietly and read, or do computer searches and print articles of interest. New series books can be held for pickup when they come in if not available on the shelf.

One of the biggest and most well equipped libraries in Lafayette. Excellent building design as well, with the splitting of the kids wing away from the adults wing. A great place to study. Highly recommended

My family loves this library and comes just about every week for the story time or to do some crafts. There is a great selection of books and very kind librarians.

Customer service, efficient research materials, bathrooms, water fountain, access to library from buses: 4A, 9, 3, and 6B outbound from bus station (8 blocks away), computer room, spacious area, several tables and chairs for use.

Reading books is becoming a dying art ... This library and it's staff continue to keep it lively, entertaining and fresh ...

They disinfect books returned before placing them back in circulation. They require masks, and their self checkout is the bomb! Love it!!

All the librarians were so nice and friendly even though my toddler was being a bit of a pain which I am so sorry for even though it was her first trip to the library.
