Thanks to the great staff and medical team at Sycamore Springs, I am 4 years sober, have custody of my children, a job, and my life. They gave me the medication, and emotional support I needed at the time to pick myself up and begin to live again. They are very professional, personal, efficient, and above all us, Good Human Beings. I was able to call and speak to my loved ones every day, and never once felt alone, or afraid. 10 out of 10 Highly Recommend.

I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in 1987. During the next 25 years, my CFS gradually grew into major depression. I topped that off when my fondness for alcohol became alcoholism. I was a mere fraction of the person I once had been; sometimes it seemed like I was almost not there at all. Clinical depression plus alcohol: I was gradually dying.

In August of 2012, my wife encouraged me to seek help again. I was at the lowest point of my existence. My hope was waning and I thought that I might be beyond help, but I decided to try because the people who love me wanted me to come back. Fortunately, after a visit to the ER at St. E that day, my wife and I walked into Sycamore Springs.

As I gradually became more aware of my situation, I realized that I was surrounded with competent people who wanted to help me get better and who were taking steps to make that happen. The two excellent psychiatrists agreed that I should try an old antidepressant developed in the 1950s. It has proven to be the best for me; I have taken it for 4.5 years now and my few depressive setbacks have been reasonably manageable. The staff started to help me to get healthy. The outstanding therapists plus the interaction with other patients enabled me to form a vision of where I was headed now. I committed to abstinence from alcohol, and with the exception of 1 night of extreme depression 15 months ago when I got hammered, I have been clean for 4.5 years. Here's my bottom line on Sycamore Springs: THEY HELPED ME TO GET MY LIFE BACK!

I am now the coordinator of the Thursday evening Alumni support Group at Sycamore Springs. This represents my commitment to continued recovery and improved health. Maintaining consistent involvement with our Alumni Group for the past 4 years has been one of the best endeavors of my life. Our Group helps one another, we inspire one another, and we laugh. We are still alive...

Thank you to all the people at Sycamore Springs who helped me to recover my health and to continue to improve upon that!...I'm back!

I’ve been to several different hospitals and this is the best so far. The therapy is structured and the staff are highly qualified unlike the others. The staff genuinely care as well. Also, they do not use physical restraints! The price compared to others is the only bad thing and the admission time.

I came here after I break down it was the best facility for mental health I have ever been to. The worse part was the waiting to be evaluated the Waite was hard and having to leave me loved one. But it made me stronger as a whole person. The food was really good to. Groups were also good. And they have smoke breaks for people that smoke just make sure you bring an un open pack. Normal stay is about 7-10 days fully recommend

This is place and staff are absolutely amazing!! The detox is safe and they take really good care of you. They monitor you 24 hours a day. If you're truly looking to go off substances especially due to abuse then this is the place to go. Other places they do monitor you maybe even adjust meds or add meds for you but when you're done with detox they let you go whether or not you have a safe place to go or not. Sycamore Springs makes sure you are set up for after care even housing. I am truly grateful for this hospital the inpatient and out patient therapy available. The Dr. there Dr E was so good kind and truly will listen to you never in a rush..

My experience with Sycamore Springs was very positive and I firmly believe my treatment there has and will help me deal with my depression and anxiety issues. Ray, my therapist, was very professional, helpful, and knew what he was doing. More important to me, though, was that he showed that he truly cared or had a concern for me and helping me deal with my issues. In fact, the whole staff was very helpful and seemed to be concerned about me as a person. I would recommend to anyone they visit Sycamore springs to get help with issues they may be dealing with.

Wonderful experience. Ann Davis is an excellent therapist/counselor. No matter your issue, she is non-judgemental. Not only will she listen to you but as well communicate with you effectively but will also earn your trust. She has a heart that wishes to help you!!!

Great place to safely detox if you are ever in that situation. I gave them hell and the head nurse Carrie still treated me with respect and was kind to me. They are the first detox facility I have been to that allows you to smoke. The staff helped me get into a rehab facility after I detoxed and even arranged for them to pick me up. I definitely recommend this facility to anyone needing a good environment to get clean and sober.

Sycamore Springs outpatient programs literally saved my life. I was skeptical about a group setting initially but found that it was really helpful. Maddie and Maggie do an excellent job in PHP of teaching coping skills and giving the information to help you realize some of the things contributing to your symptoms and mental health. As well as making group therapy a cathartic experience. Katie is knowledgeable and wonderful at medication management. Emily and Larry on the nursing staff are professional and knowledgeable as well as personable and relatable. Lizzie at the front desk handles her responsibilities with professional ease and is more than happy to help with insurance and paperwork issues. I would gladly recommend this program to anyone.

I cannot thank enough ALL of the staff at Sycamore Springs for helping me along my journey of recovery to mental health! This place is an amazing establishment that doesn’t get all the credit they deserve for being here for our community and breaking the mental health stigma. A very BIG special thank you to Myra F., Larry, Ann D., Emily, Maggie and Katie H. for everything you have done for me and helped me with along this path. I wouldn’t be where I am today if not for all of you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Mental illness is real. It is the scariest thing I have ever gone through. I thought I was going to go insane and if it wasn't for the help I received at sycamore springs, I don't know where I would be today. I deal with anxiety depression and paranoia. At first I was to stubborn to ask for help, like I said I almost went nuts. I reached out to sycamore springs for help as recommended by my therapist. They were very humble and very caring, I started the process by doing an intake and then I was recommended to do the PHP partial hospitalization program there and it was outpatient so I was able to continue my everyday life tasks. I felt like I was going to school all over again and everyday I learned something new about myself and how to cope with these mental illness I have. The staff at sycamore springs is very helpful they had a everything a person needs to get through anything you are going through. I want to give a special praise and thanks to Myra Fleetwood the therapist that ran my group therapy, she was very understanding and loving and caring of others, she has taught me so much about dealing with my past and how to continue to move forward. I am not done with my journey there I am going to be going into IOP to continue growing and learning about these mental illnesses. If anyone has any problems with anything substance abuse, mental health I highly recommend checking out Sycamore Springs. God Bless everyone that is struggling with any kind of problems, he has his angels working at Sycamore Springs

I left here a week ago and I am so happy I made the decision to go here. They were extremely helpful during this difficult time. I wish there was a little more physical activity but I guess for a short term program its understandable. During my short stay I learned a lot from the classes and Dr. E was amazing. If you know someone or are someone who wants to detox safely I would strongly suggest this place.

Sycamore Springs saved my husbands life, without their help I don't know if he would be with me today. Their understanding of not only his problems, but helping me to cope with everything that he was going through. The therapists and staff were there for me also, when ever I had a question or concern they were right there guiding me through. I thank God ever day for them!

I've unfortunately had to detox from Alcohol a number of times at a number of places. The wait in the lobby was worth it. I wish I lived closer so I could go through your whole program, but am set up for St. Vincents in Indy. I've been through so many programs, that I had already had most of the tools for success, I just chose to keep failing. I was defeated and ready to give up. The loving atmosphere of 90 percent of your staff has given me hope as well as a passion for a sober future again! God bless!

I am a Veteran and I am finally approved for community care through the VA. SycaMore springs offered me a 28 day inpatient rehabilitation program. The program is called Help for Heroe's. I was the first person to go through this program. It is available to veterans, active military, and front line workers (police, fireman,EMT's etc.). At first I was very hesitant about this program. I am so happy that I pushed through and completed it. It opened my eyes to so many things that I needed to work on in my life and gave me so many tools that are necessary to get better. The one on one therapy is amazing and I suggest this for any man or woman that has served in our military or that is a front line worker. The staff was absolutely amazing. I can't thank sycamore springs enough for everything that they have done for my family and I. I can't thank my therapist Kait and Kirsty enough and Dr. O and Dr. E are amazing as well. I love you all. Thank you.

I recently completed the Intensive Outpatient Therapy at Sycamore Springs in Lafayette, IN. My therapist was Ray and he is amazing. From my first night there it was clear that Ray genuinely cares and wants the best for his patients. I was there for anxiety and depression, many others were there for a variety of reasons. Ray made sure to equate my issues with those of the other participants and vice versa. He was very thorough and he asks the hard questions. Be prepared to work hard and answer things that you WILL be uncomfortable with. If you are ready to do those things to get better then this is the program for you - and Ray should be your therapist of choice!

I personally would recommend this place to anyone, including family. I unfortunately have been dealing with addiction since i was 14. I went to my first rehabilitation center when i was 19. Over the last 12 years I have been in and out of multiple different treatment centers all over the state of Indiana. Everyone on the staff from kitchen crew, right up to the doctors treat you like family and make you feel comfortable. This will be the ONLY place I recommend to anyone to go receive inpatient or out patient care.
