Mnana Beach Bungalows

A magical location with simple but appropriately appointed chalets overlooking the screensaver picturesque turquoise sea . This is a quiet area on the Eastern coast, away from the more popular noisy northern tourist beaches. It can be windy, as it tgere is no protection from tge Indian Ocean. It is a perfect spot to unwind with charming owners.

This place was like a dream. Very quiet, right on the beach. You can see the sunrise from your bed. The rooms were clean and the staff is friendly. The food is also very good, they make the best curry. Tasty breakfast and super delicious fresh juice ❤ best place if you would like a relaxed vacation.

I loved this little spot. Tucked right on the beach, each bungalow has a view of the crystal clear water. The grounds are beautiful and look exactly like the photos. They have so many great lounging spots including several hammocks and hanging beds.

As a solo female traveler I felt safe safe and Mohammed and his team were very helpful. They booked a reservation for me at The Rock, as well as a snorkeling tour, and transportation to the airport when I left. The food was okay but there are plenty of other restaurants and hotels to chose from in the vicinity.

We had a great time with my family for a week! Loved the intimate feel, the elegant simplicity and especially the very close proximity to the beach. The comfortable lounges were everywhere and perfect for relaxing or napping. We had almost every meal together and enjoyed eating at the restaurant there, very well attended to by all the staff!

Yohhhh. Unexpected peace.
The place is not quaint. It is just plain paradise.
The rooms are awesome. The beds are firm and the bedding white as newly fallen snow. Anna The host treated us like her family, she knows the island and understands being a visitor on this island.
The excursions with the guides are seamless and perfected. The juice is freshly made with each 2 glasses from fresh mangoes or granadilla or whatever is in season. The fooooooood, the rice, ohhhhh the fresh prawns and lobster and the fish Masala... I loved eating here.
5 days not seen anyone smoking, not added salt to my food, not felt the need to want to see tv, no fast foods in site.... pure paradise.

The water kisses your feet when you open your bungalow. The infinity pool is crystal clear. From here to Page you can walk for 20 minutes or bike there or daladala there or special hire there to buy things.

You can sleep all day you can be in the warm ocean water all day(feels like a heated spa) you can be happy all day floating on a wooden dhow. You can find the most incredible instagram moments before even leaving Mnana bungalows.

Free reliable wifi...Yohhhhh I am happy I tell you. Try the tea, there is a selection of 20 teas and coffee. Try the caramel flavored tea. Try Mnana.

Beautiful area right on the water with a refreshing pool. A little hard to get to from the outside via taxi since it's just in a weird location, but awesome staff and stay.

We had fantastic stay for one night with our family. Mnana have unbelievable amazing sea view, rooms is big and 5 star standard. Swimming pool was great as well. Staff friendly and helpful. Thank you Mnana!

Amazing location , beautiful beach , beautiful food , rooms are perfect , the pool/chill area is amazing too and every member of staff are beautiful people with amazing service we even had a day trip sorted for us by mohammed who made it feel so easy and stress free !! Will 100% come back next time i am visiting zanzibar island

This hotel is so cute and well taken care of... it was a total delight to spend some days there. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some quiet, as it is far from other more touristic places in Zanzibar.

The stuff, as well as the owner, are very nice, smiling and friendly.

The gardens and swimming pool have an impressive views to the ocean, with plenty of hammocks, sun-beds and sofas to hang out.

The rooms are very nicely decorated. We booked one without air conditioning, but it had a fan on the wall and that was enough for us. They spray the rooms every day to avoid insects.

The food is nice, and the breakfast is big and with fresh fruits and freshly made eggs. Their offer of cocktails, and drinks is good too.

Overall, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun, the ocean and long walks on the beach.

The place is beautifully, also after that we gave a look around I still think that this place is the best. Take the room in front of the sea, u will never regret it. The place is clean, workers spay per mosquitos, clean and change bedsheet towels everyday. Owners are always available and able to sort you out from any problem (covid test, airport shuttle etc).
Ps, food is amazing, take the grilled mixed sea food or the sea food pasta (and as italian I know how pasta has to taste like).

We were a group of 6 staying at Mnana Beach Bungalows for 5 nights. The accommodation is really clean and comfortable, and it sits right on the beach in Michamvi (pingwe beach). They have about 10 cottages on the beach made of thatch/palm leaves and wood, with comfortable interiors and a clean bathroom. They also have a bar/restaurant area and nice places to lounge on the beach

The people were really accommodating for all our requests, including organizing activities at pretty decent rates, getting taxis for us to travel around, splitting our bills (we were a 2 groups in our party of 6). Overall a really hospitable and great place to stay, with an amazing set up on the beach, with an extremely reasonable price. More than worth it

Great place to stay lovely beach and very good seafood. Wifi was very fast if you we’re close to the main building. Bungalows got a bit hot sometimes. In conclusion it was a great experience and I would surely recommended staying here.

Very nice and quiet place to stay, beautiful bungalows with charming furnitures, some are just on the beach front. The team is discret and provide you anything you want...and last but not least the food is very tasty with good value! I recommend widely if you want a tiny peace of beautiful Zanzibar.

Small piece of paradise on the east coast of Zanzibar. Beautifully rustic bungalows with bathroom, mosquito nets and fan. All bungalows have sea views. Delicious breakfast included in very affordable rates. Restaurant serves good food. Stone Town day trips and snorkeling can be arranged. Quiet and romantic alternative to the busy north and west coast, especially out of season. This place is perfectly managed and kept. Idyllic garden with plenty of sunbeds, hammocks and swings to lounge on. Whispering palmtrees. Spent 7 nights there and can't wait to go back. FABulous.

I simply love this place. Jenny and her mom are perfect hosts and their dog Darma is adorable! Food tastes like in better European restaurants and the atmosphere cannot be more positive. 10+

It's cozy and very close to the beach, you can literally jump from the porch to the sea water, if you are LeBron James.

The rest of us need to take the stairs. The proprietors and staff are friendly and the seafood makes my wife want to convert me into a seafood fanatic

Amazing romantic quiet place. Beautiful clean room and friendly staff. Tasty food and cocktails, nice price. Very strong wifi and good beach. I can recommend this place.

Went to lounge by the pool and have their prawn curry, which was excellent. Friendly staff and a great view of the ocean!

The owner she's lovely lady and the food is perfect with the service of all the ladies there, they have all the plan to make ur actives and enjoy Zanzibar
