Diamonds Mapenzi Beach

The hotel is not new, there is a smell of moisture in the rooms, especially if you turn on the air conditioning. Therefore, we did not use air conditioning and we were very hot at night. The service is excellent throughout the hotel: at the reception, in the restaurant, during massages and housekeeping - everyone is friendly and smiling. Delicious food, quite a large selection of dishes. Another minus is the beach, it is dirty due to the tides. also, it is better not to leave the hotel premises, especially in the evening

We stayed at Diamonds Mapenzi Beach for 7 nights and it was fantastic. The rooms were spacious and cleaned twice a day. The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was incredibly helpful. The food was tasty, though occasionally a bit cold. The beach could use occasional algae cleanup. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Like paradise!! Beautiful garden, big rooms and bathrooms, lovely and helpful stuff. Food is amazing. Fresh juice for breakfast was more than refreshing! Beach is nice and beachboys are not allowed to come to the beach in front of the hotel, that was very good!

Me and my girlfriend with our friend Monika.It was amazing to be back here for the second time, we was here last year in November for 14 days and this year from February 28 to march 10, all the time we had here was amazing and enjoyable. The front office Team under Ali control was very nice and helpful to us, The housekeepers team with their Manager was great to us and we happy that they managed to bring 2⃣ apples 🍎 to our friend room every single day as she needed, thank you for that Alex the housekeeping manager and your team, beach staffs they was nice also, Waziri, Baraza and Daniel the most wonderful people and very helpful all the time.
The F&B team they always wonderful, kind, helpful and friendly people all the time, nice drinks delicious food and great service. Marwa, Rachel, Anna, and Tiem and all of the staffs are amazing.

The truth is the new F&B Manager he is racist Men to a lot of guests and he totally looks harsh to the staffs I saw him often he shouting and yelling sometimes telling his team what to do after lunch or dinner in the middle of the restaurant at service time loudly, things which is not professional
I think he know that, as a waiter/ waitress, or bartender you need to be happy, healthy, peaceful in physical and mental ways to make a good service to the guests, but he is not offering this to his staffs all juniors staffs looks scaring him and they are not sure for everything they do in front of him, which is totally wrong as a manager.

All in all we love that place and we will comeback as always very soon.

We visited Diamonds Mapenzi 3 years ago. Although it's been a while, I still wanted to rate it as we had a great time and experience.

The huge property has many palm trees and offers plenty of sun loungers and seating areas across its grounds with amazing views to the ocean.

We stayed in a beach bungalow, and we highly recommend it! You get to enjoy the beautiful ocean view and the beach right at your doorstep. The rooms were spacious, well-maintained, and hygienic. Now they have been renovated, so I'm sure it's even better.
The friendly staff provided excellent service, and we received coconuts daily and fresh flowers every other day.

The hotel has various entertainment programs, such as water gymnastics, volleyball, billiards, and dance evenings. There also is a gym and a spa area for massages. You can never get bored, but it's never too noisy either.

The restaurant buffets offer good quality and diverse food options, and the service is top-notch.
When we stayed there, dinner places changed every other day to the pool side or to the beach. We loved the beach restaurant the most.

Diamonds Mapenzi is located on the east side of the island and is affected by strong tides. Swimming is not possible during low tide. However, the beach is ideal for long walks, and you can also walk to the reef (remember to wear bathing shoes to avoid sea urchins!). If you prefer not to use the ocean, you can relax by the large pool and the bar.

I’m here a week already and staying for another week, the food is delicious, stuff in whole hotel is incredibly nice, helpful and professional. 3 days In a weeks there are themed dinners, in different places each, manager Is taking care of literally everything, rooms and every corner of this hotel is clean.

This all inclusive hide away has the taste of Tanzania at your finger tips and on your lips with an extensive spread of the local cuisine. This location should be recognized as a resort to get away from the crowd while enjoying the time to relax and recharge.

Excellent place for resting.. I like the view and feel very comfortable here… People are very friendly and helpful 🫶 it’s safe place…

In terms of food, service, drinks that was the best all inclusive hotel I've visited so far.

Having spent 7 nights at this hotel I can tell that the place is really nice, friendly staff always available to help you out. They were very kind with our children. Staff do a very hard and good job all time, they do their best to service you. Facilities are well maintained and clean. Asante sana!

We loved our 10 nights stay at Diamonds Mapenzi Beach! It is a nice hotel with a great African vibe! The highlights were definitely the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner), drinks, beach, rooms and great staff!

We loved our bungalow with ocean view, so peaceful and calm. The gym is small but very nice and we were most of the times alone, so really private feeling!

We read a lot of comments that the place needs updating - and yes, it does, but discovering the island of Zanzibar is realizing that these conditions for Tanzania are very good and the vibe of this hotel is so nice that it did not bother us!

We wouldn’t call this hotel a resort, but rather 4* hotel with a nice, intimate vibe.

Amazing staff in a beautiful location. Rooms were clean and spacious, the facilities are excellent, and the food was delicious and varied. Perfect place to base yourself and relax, with a variety of day trips around Zanzibar available as well - everywhere is within an hour drive. Would highly recommend.

Such a beautiful resort. The staff are so friendly and fun. They go out of their way to help you and really made us feel welcome. The receding tide was great for the kids, I didn't have to worry about them in the sea and they had fun exploring the beach. The locals on the beach can be a bit much, but if you take the time to listen to them, you learn so much about the island and culture. Overall a wonderful experience!

Very nice resort with super friendly staff, especially thanks to Denis, Martin, Wazir and Khamis for the nice time and the good drinks. Highly recommended, don't doubt, just book the beach villa.

Our visit on Nov 20th was very interesting. Though we reached late we had our room secured and managed to get dinner. The rest of our stay was really enjoyable and fun filled. The drinks were served in plenty and non-alcoholic like us still managed to get the piece. The staff are very friendly and professional. Víctor the guest services will assist with anything that you need in the resort.

Thoroughly enjoyed this as our last stop of our Tanzania honeymoon. The staff was welcoming and so friendly. The beach bungalow was nice and they even decorated it for our honeymoon and gave us wine, fresh fruit, and chocolate. The food and drinks were so good which is super important for an all inclusive - the 3 days we stayed there we never got tired of anything.

Our stay was really great! The staff is very friendly, always smiling and helpful. You can buy a lot of beatifull things in the hotel boutique and You must go to the Aqua Gym with Saggio. Out fovourite barman is Frank (Greetings for you Frank from „Natalia Gin&Tonic ).
Hotel Beach is amazing and very clean. The all area is very clean, too - rooms, lobby, restaurant, all of the hotel facilities. I was really impressed of the cleanest.
Near hotel there are some shops of local people. You should go there.

Beautiful week. Much space throughout the resort. Excellent service and animators. Mussa, Sergio Ramos and others (all) incredibly helpful and friendly. Everyone chooses from the food. Everything is enough. The low tide is considerable, but we knew that in advance. In the bungalow basic equipment, but sufficient. Maybe a closet would be useful. We felt really royal here. I can only recommend.
