My daughter and I enjoyed 3 wonderful nights at Blue Bay in early Nov 2023. Staff were pleasant, attentive and helpful at all times. Our 2nd floor room was very nice with a beautiful view from our balcony. Food and drink were delicious. The cafe area was quiet and relaxing. Nightly entertainment during dinnertime was fun! The pool and bar were refreshing. We enjoyed a really nice massage. And kayaking in the ocean was wonderful! We can’t wait to visit again in the future.

Just the best place for an amazing relaxing holiday

A beautiful resort with amazing staff. We had a fabulous week here. The food was delicious and varied and there were lots of vegetarian options. The rooms were lovely and we had the biggest bed I have ever seen! The grounds of the resort are beautifully maintained. Would definitely recommend The Bluebay and would love to come here again.

A great getaway spot on the beautiful Indian Ocean, Rooms were great, large clean. Plenty of beach chairs on the beach , and seats by the pool . We were on the inclusive plan and the food was very good. We also ate at the alacarte restaurant, having prawns ( plentiful ) and fresh tuna. Excellent. The staff was very accommodating , always nice and helpful. Not sure if it a thing or not here, but umbrellas would be good for the beach. Also pay for for incidentals in local money , as the credit card only does US dollars and their exchange rate is typical of a hotel ( lower ) . Otherwise the place is perfect for a getaway and we plan on returning . thank you

Seriously nice beachfront hotel about an hour's drive from Stonetown airport. Staff are so friendly that they made it a really special stay. Large and comfortable rooms but the wifi is quite inconsistent in the room. Strongly recommend especially if you're celebrating birthdays as they make it really fun at dinner.

Wonderful holiday at the Zanzibar. The hotel itself, people in hotel and all the services were great. We really enjoyed the holiday.

It was fantastic. Had some bad experience in Zanzibar in some of previous visits but the experience we had this Easter 2023 holiday at the Bluebay Beach Resort & Spa changed it for us. Definitely recommend to go and try. We will go again. From rooms, staff, food, entertainment and fun for kids...made it magical for us...staff (from Managers, receptionist, waiters etc)..top of their game. Friendly, professional and very helpful to client needs.

I was recommended this hotel by other family members who visited a couple of years ago. From the beginning of my stay till the very end, I absolutely enjoyed the trip.

The staff in all areas were very friendly, warm and welcoming. They ensured that we were attended to well and quickly as we had 2 babies also!

The food was brilliant - we only got chance to eat at the Makuti restaurant and there were lots of options to choose from (Veg/Non-veg). They also made sure that everything was labelled so guests could choose from what they see. The drinks (fresh juices) were very tasty too.

The room was was very nice and cosy - had a TV and AC in and housekeeping made sure that everything was in order (especially in the evenings when they came to put the mosquito net and spray while we went for dinner). The bathroom was kept clean and there were lots of amenities such as hair dryer and shampoo/conditioners/soaps. We spent most of our day by the pool which was nice and clean too. There's a pool bar and a snack bar (for all inclusive guests) nearby which made it easy for me to feed the children. However, it is a shame that the snacks aren't available after 5pm.

Overall, the surroundings were very nice and clean but I wished they had a play area for children which they could go and pass time. They do have an inside play room but it was ideal for toddlers. They do have several programmes on for kids but unfortunately we didn't experience them as such due our busy schedule.

The beach itself was clean during the day but the ocean does reach towards the bottom parts of the steps in the early morning and evenings so I was hesitant to go in.

My overall stay was an absolute pleasure and I would definitely recommend anyone to come here for a holiday! It'll be an amazing experience that one will never forget! Thank you all at Bluebay!

I only wish that they reduce the use of plastic bottles for drinking water and source another way of getting water into glass bottles. And the same for the shampoo/conditioner bottles.

had a great week in this resort. the staff are very friendly they do everything to make you feel welcome, a special thanks to Catherine. The resort is really beautiful. The beach is very nice but you have to be careful because the beach can change a lot from ebb and flow. The rooms have a nice style and they make your room pretty every day.I really want to come back here in the future. Greetings from the Netherlands

We spent a week at Blue Bay in June 2023 as a family of four with two small kids and absolutely loved it! The hotel has a beautiful garden and great views, is very clean, and located directly at one of the best beaches of Sansibar.

The meals are delicious with fresh and high-quality ingredients. One evening, the hotel's cook filleted a 2 meter long Blue Marlin (which he personally caught the night before!) right at the barbecue station of the dinner buffet - it was delicious and I definitely recommend booking the all inclusive package.

What's really outstanding is the hotel staff: they are all very friendly, smile all the time, love kids, remember your names and preferences and really go the extra mile! Thank you so much for your fabulous service Ezra, Joyce, Lizzy and Dass - we'll always remember you guys! We had an amazing week at Blue Bay and will definitely return!

For kiters: You can do kitesurfing right at the beach in front of the hotel during low or medium tide - at high tide the beach is gone and there is no place to launch or land your kite. A little walk on the beach up north you find the kite school 'one love' which I recommend.

Absolutely amazing place to "experience the magic of Zanzibar". Beautiful, green and very well mantained resort with the access to the stunning beach. Very spacious rooms (it was our honeymoon and while checking in we recived a surprise - our room had been upgraded). Food in the restaurant was delicious and deliciously served - there were few themed evenings supported with the breathtaking, local animations. However, it was the resort's staff that made this stay unforgettable. I have never met so friendly, helpful and cheerful group of waiters, bartenders and receptionists anywhere else.
Thank you for making our honeymoon ideal.

Really nice getaway with amazing included meals at 2 different beachside restaurants overlooking the pool and water. Great guest entertainment at nice and beachside water sports included in your stay at the resort! Not the best location if your plan is to tour around Zanzibar, ie. new towns, local life, Stone Town or other beaches, as the location is remote and minimal transport availability. Overall great vibes and super nice and responsive staff who are very accommodating.

We stayed at this hotel for a total of nine nights and If your thinking of booking this hotel, definitely do it. The staff were amazing in ensuring we had a great stay, they went above and beyond. The rooms were cleaned everyday, very beautiful, nice and cold and the views are unmatched. The food was most definitely worth the five stars, every night there was plenty to choose from and all of it was very fresh and flavoursome.

We would definitely go back to Blue Bay, we had an unforgettable holiday here. Experiences I will never forget.

Fabulous resort, amazing views of the beach and ocean. Food is very nice, but with limited options. WiFi is hopeless, no decent signal unless you are in reception. However, I would not hesitate to recommend it, Heidi is very helpful

Amazing location, beautiful white coral sand beaches and attentive staff across the board. This place is just amazing. We had nine full days there and couldn't find fault in any way at all. If you want a relaxing 5 star luxury holiday then this is for you

Booked for stay at Blue Bay Resort but on arrival had opportunity to transfer to beach side room at Sultan Sands sister resort adjoining Blue Bay.
Direct access to beach Perfect.
We dined at the Blue Bay Resort which was excellent.
Staff were always cheerful and welcoming.
