Waikiki Zanzibar Resort

I lived in early October 2022. I came with a volunteer mission. Wonderful hotel, good staff, chic arrangement 2 steps from the ocean. Delicious food, squid in batter. Hotel owners are a man from Italy and his life partner from England. I liked absolutely everything! Breakfast ingredients are not much different from many hotels in Zanzibar, but the breakfast service is well presented!

Waikiki is an absolutely amazing place that I highly recommend for anyone staying in Zanzibar. The bungalows are beautiful and very well kept, less than a minute walk to a white sandy beach that has clear blue shallow water perfect for swimming. The view of the sunrise in the morning is the most stunning on the island. The staff is nothing short than spectacular in every way. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help with anything.They made sure our every need/desire was met and even helped plan my dream proposal. Nice selection for breakfast and good dinner options especially the pizza. Bartenders are personable and make great drinks. The grounds are very clean and gives you the feel that you're in a secluded island oasis. I cant say enough good things about Luca, Sarah, Leva, and the entire staff that helped to make this the best trip of my life, my fiancee and I will definitely be back soon!

WOW😎 Loved the resort. We went there for the Friday Waikiki Beach Party (most of the surrounding hotels and lodges send their guests here for this festival. We went early (the event starts at 22:30), and decided to have a meal and some drinks there. They have an excellent menu for food and drinks. We loved our delicious meal of Italian meats, cheeses, olives and breads.

Warm family atmosphere with Italian-swahilic flair. An open place with super music, the disco on Friday you should not miss. Chilled and international atmosphere.

The food is very delicious and absolutely good value for money. It offers a rich menu of real Italian pizza over extremely finely spiced African food towards freshly caught fish. The good restaurant is also often used by islanders.

Waikiki is a small resort with lovely painted bungalows, 1a located right on the ocean. In front of each bungalow there is a veranda for private use, with views to the green oasis and on the ocean.

We felt in love with Waikiki and are guaranteed to come back.

It is the perfect place to rest, but also enjoy celebrating and dancing or kiting in the associated kite school.

An individual place for individualists.

We had such a wonderful stay at Waikiki! It was my first time and my partner's second time and it hopefully won't be either of our last time! The service was incredible, everyone was hospitable and accommodating (especially Ricardo and the restaurant staff) and I've never felt so relaxed! The seafood risotto was a favorite for us, and we had the pizzas quite a few times, but the Christmas dinner they provided was by far our favorite! The rooms were also clean and carried that relaxing feel from the outside! I could not recommend this place more for a personal (everyone knew your name!) And relaxing vacation.

Really well done food at sensible resort prices. Great rooms with excellent AC. Real Italian coffee, pizza and gelato available. Carpaccio is awesome. Fun events throughout the month. Easy access to tour company at great prices. Kids absolutely loved everything about this particular location. Staff are smart and responsive. Good security. Internet is so so.

Thank you Waikiki and Ricardo & Flavio (i hope I spell this correctly) for the great time together! I love this hotel for the cosy bungalows, great place in several meters from the ocean, great food, especially Tuna carpaccio & Pizza.
We stayed there for three weeks.To be honest, not everything was fine but all the issues we had were resolved in minutes. And there's a unique option to talk to an owner of the hotel! I will personally recommend Waikiki to my friends, and when you come talk to mr. Flavio first. He's a great host and you'll not have any issues!

Get room number 7 so the sound of the ocean can put you to sleep in your own personal hut. This place just awesome and well worth every penny plus more. The GM is an amazing guy that will do his best to make sure your stay is great. Try an catch the Friday night party as well when you go and make sure you do the ATV adventure, worth every penny ( must have a driver's license).

Our experience was fantastic compared to other hotels on the island. Hotel rooms and facilities were clean and tidy. Breakfast was great and staff were ready to hear you.

Great food (calamari baby!), beautiful property, secured place and excellent team including my fave cats. Only the best we have experienced , definitely coming back and will recommend to friends and family @waikikizanzibarresort

For walk in sea and see nice staf inside we pay 30€ ( its to much) after walk we get info 10 € its normal price 🤪 but i recomend do it with some guys who can tell and show everything, its amazing ❤
In hotel we get better price then booking give us (35€/for night) ⭐

So beautiful place! Waikiki was one of the 3 places I stayed in Zanzibar and the most comfortable for its very affordable price. Good choice and quality of food, the restaurant in front of the beach, very nice bungalows with bathroom and nice friendly service.
I recommend and hope will be back one day ❤

This is hands down the best resort on the island. Highly recommended. Staff is top notch, food is very tasty, and the views are unmatched.

Very nice hotel, everything is super clean, very safe, has a private beach, so you are safe from all the local sellers.
