We stayed there the night of July 6. In our room was a bowl of fruit/snacks and a condolences card from them. They had learned about the recent loss of my mother from one of our guides. They were incredibly thoughtful. It says a lot about their staff and our guides.

Great rooms - probably the best of the places we stayed during our safari tour. Pool is nice and the food is great. We liked the adjoining family rooms for our family of 5.

Bougainvilla Lodge was a lovely place to stay, located in Karatu near Ngorongoro. It is very popular with tour companies taking guests to or from Ngorongoro National Park (that's what brought us here too!). We stayed there for a night before heading out to Ngorongoro. I don't know what the price was since it was part of a safari package provided by Scroungers Adventures.

Rooms are fantastic, self-contained cottages that seem to be inspired by the Maasai Boma (hut). The room, living area, and bathroom are one continuous spherical room, with the bathroom separated by a wall (it has no doors!). The bed was very comfortable and had a mosquito net (which was handy since Karatu had several mosquitos). They have extra blankets, an umbrella and hangars in the storage area, behind the bed.

The property was really spacious and quiet. It has a pool, restaurant area and large gardens. We had dinner at the hotel, which was a delicious three-course meal. They also provided us the lunch box for our safari the next day, which was also great. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was very smooth. Overall, it was an excellent place to stay.

Stayed here for two nights. The staff were pleasant. The bar was well stocked, all I needed for a Negroni. Dinner was pleasant and filling.

The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. There is an unheated outdoor swimming pool which I did not try.

Bougainville Lodge is beautiful! The rooms are large as are the showers. The staff is helpful and fun to talk too. The food was excellent. They have a beautiful pool and hot tub area.

Got in at 2 AM due to a flight delay. They stayed up for us and had food ready! It was amazing. Rooms were perfect, and the grounds were beautiful. Highly recommend.

Our favorite place in Africa!
On safari, we were wildly surprised when this picturesque, peaceful hotel was our accommodation for 2 nights! The grounds have immaculate, mature gardens and landscaping. Beautiful pool and massage area. Spacious, amazing rooms. The dinner: you’ll feel like Belle during “Be Our Guest” in Beaty and the Beast. The food is beyond impressive! And on top of it all, the service couldn’t be more genuine. We’re so sad to leave.

Beautiful villa tucked away with beautiful flowers and green grounds. Individual lodges are massively spacious and kept very clean. The staff is very welcoming and professional. Wifi is available in the main reception and signal is good. Dinner was delicious with a buffet that is served by staff. For birthdays, we witnessed the staff singing a fun song to another guest. Highly recommend for anyone going to Ngorongoro.

This place was a great change of pace. I visited here after Kilimanjaro and after a week of tent camping this was an excellent change. The rooms were very comfortable and picture perfect. The multi course dinner was great and the property grounds were beautiful. Only regret was that I didn't get to utilize much at the property.

Amazing, we were greeted with wet hot towels which we appreciated after our safari drive. Then served drinks even before we checked in, beautiful safe and guarded. Food was great too!

This is a fantastic hotel, lodges are extremely spacious with lovely decor. Gardens are superb & well maintained. Food is of a very high standard & all staff very helpful & friendly. I would love to stay here again & would recommend to anyone staying in the area to book this hotel, you won't regret it.

This was a really nice cottage accommodation we had outside the National Park. Unfortunately we could not enjoy it as I lost my phone the same day. Definitely a good place to stay at!
