Lushui Campground

Very nice free campground!
2 min walk to the toilet (the public building near by) it get pretty dark and there’s no light at the toilet so make sure you bring your headlights!
Got running water going, we brought a big bucket and boiled some water to take a shower.

This campground is FREE! there are taps and toilets over the road next to a visitor/geology centre and a bus too right outside so it’s super convenient - PERFECT!

Awesome free camping spot. It’s pretty big. Had one platform so come early if you want it. Some shaded area, running water for cleaning, washing hands and cooking with. The other campsite is 300nt per person from 11am-10am and doesn’t have that much more stuff.

Explore the surrounding

Clean and tidy with access to a public washroom at the rock museum across the road. It has water to wash with and lamps that come on when it gets dark. There is one wooden sleeping platform and a couple of areas to put a BBQ. It's free!

Very nice campground in the Taroko National Park, free-to-use. We were very thankful for this great facility!
It's a natural, tree-shaded field, 2 kilometres East from Tianxiang. Grass/soil ground (I can't really understand the idea of pitching a tent on wooden platforms, but if you want them head to the Heliu campground).
You'll need to walk a few minutes to the Lushui Service Station for toilets and 600 metres to the Heliu Campground if you want to use showers.

Nice FREE campground with a busstop right infront and water for washing. Toilets are maybe 2 minutes away and if you want to shower you have to go to Heliu Campground (around 20' away)

Good for overnight have a clean CR in the area

As of the day I'm writing this post, the camp ground is closed to the public and under what it seems to be a pretty big maintenance project.

In the center of Taroko, close to multiple interesting points !

入口超級無敵隱密，繞了兩圈才找到

需要紮營的朋友，如果是從合歡山往花蓮方向的，面對溪谷入口在停車場右手邊有個石階，唯一的指示只有旁邊一個告示牌「水塔上面禁止紮營」

就如同之前其他人的講的，上廁所是蠻不方便的，「真」野營

好的地方，還需有好的人來維持，好讓更多人，能夠，享受臺灣的好山好水好地方。祝一切順心，旅途愉快。

到停車場後附近找一下，會有往下的石階梯，那邊才是可以紮營的地方，第一次來可能會找不到。到營地後只要不影響動線及他人使用桌椅或水龍頭的位子就可以紮營。
看到停車場到處有煙頭及垃圾，營地也有石頭堆生過火的痕跡，「人」就是這樣對待自然，還可笑的說「人」是台灣號稱最美的風景。
沒有木棧臺，沒有整好的平地，只有最貼近自然的環境，希望使用者可以愛惜並遵守相關規定。

去過好幾次的免費營地，營地內的水龍頭很常沒水。12月底時遇到梅花盛開，第一次看到開得這麼華麗的梅花，稍微靠近就聞得到香氣。附近地質館的廁所整修過很明亮乾淨。有時間可以去旁邊的綠水步道或走到天祥逛逛。
⚠特別請大家不要留下食物殘渣，野生動物會跑來撿食，這次遇到很大隻的猴子去吃前位露友丟棄在營地地上吃不完的泡麵😣我們暫放在帳篷外的垃圾袋也被撕破，垃圾被拖出來，還企圖接近收放在帳篷內的食物。這些猴子不怕人也不怕人製造的聲響，差點就要正面對決。再次呼籲各位露友垃圾自行帶下山，不要餵食野生動物，晚上或人不在營地時食物跟垃圾要做好防護措施。美好的環境一起維護！

國家公園裏有免費野營區真是野營者的福音，而且還提供水源，附近又有乾淨的公廁（夜晚還會自動照明），離天祥和白楊步道只有2公里，有超商和餐廳，假日可能露友多，推薦平日來。注意國家公園不能營火喔（瓦斯罐、高山爐可）
